The Corner Grill House

Wow! First time visit tonight during a weekend in York. Karen, my wife, isn't particularly a steak lover. I am, so for purely selfish reasons I booked The Corner Grill House online a week prior to our visit after reading some excellent reviews. The ribeye steak is to die for, cooked to absolute perfection, as were the two sides you can select. In my case, creamy mash potatoes and creamed leeks! Lush! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant! 10/10!

Such a cosy little hidden gem. Glad I booked in advance. A lovely meal for myself, my Mum and my student daughter and friend. Such delightful service, made us feel at home. Definitely recommend, definitely will be back when next I visit York.

My boyfriend and I went for a special occasion and the food was delicious and the service even better! Our waitress was so lovely and the food incredibly prompt. I highly reccomend this great little restaurant!

Had a great evening, it is a small place, and this made it a great intimate evening, but still gave a bustling atmosphere.

Amazing restaurant with the best food. There are only 6 -8 tables dependant on layout so the waiting staff are able to be very attentive. The food is amazing, it’s is all fresh and all set a t a very reasonable price. I would recommend this to anyone visiting York

I didn't exactly know what to expect going in, but The Corner Grill House did not disappoint. The service was friendly and timely. The food was excellent. I had the duck and my daughter has the rack of lamb. Both were cooked to perfection. The desserts were small and tasty, the perfect ending to a great meal. Make reservations though or you may not get in. They had to turn away 3 couples while we were eating.

Absolutely loved our visit to the Corner House Grill. My partner and I visited to celebrate her 25th birthday. Food was amazing, service was excellent and the atmosphere was amazing, the entire restaurant small as it was sang happy birthday to my partner. Waitress was faultless. Absolutely would recommend. Book early if you want more choice of timings!

Quaint restaurant with excellent service and food. Reservations appear to be a must.

Had the best dinner for my partners 30th birthday. I hadn’t put any special requests in the reservation but when we arrived I mentioned it and we got a great seat. Food was delicious and Stephan was an amazing host. Recommend to anyone!

Perfectly cooked food, like a Michelin rated restaurant. Service was lovely too, so friendly. We loved our meal so much, we’re going back tomorrow! I had trout, partner had lamb cannon and some had pork medallions, all fantastic and perfectly cooked. Going back tomorrow for rack of lamb.
