Côte Barnes

We were surprised that they are not doing track and trace right now, given the tables were quite close. Tried to book outside, but not available, hopefully next time.

We greatly enjoyed dining at Cote today. The food, served by a friendly, exemplary and attentive staff , was delicious. We were very much at ease. The menu was superb and our visit was altogether a delightful experience.

Côte is my canteen I go at least once a week and it has filled a gap that was in Barnes for a reasonably priced restaurant easily accessible and somewhere that I can always rely on in every way.

Lovely brunch, with great service. Lots of fresh air with the glass doors open onto the green.

Cote are very well organised in these COVID times. I felt very comfortable eating inside. Good food and service with a smile as always.

A wonderful meal in good surroundings that make your evening feel special. Cote is always so reliable, it is reasonably priced, with excellent service and really delicious food. Most importantly, the large dining area in Barnes means that the restaurant can observe social distancing whilst still hosting quite a number of people, so it was a real pleasure to walk in and hear a lovely buzz of voices and activity, unlike some smaller venues. Love it.

We had to abandon plans to meet friends for Sunday lunch in town because there were no trains running to Waterloo and London’s bridges are falling down. Cote Barnes came to our rescue, however. With the help of a delightful young man (I only wish I could name him) we secured a table outside facing the Pond where as children four generations of my family have played. I like Cote’s menu: there’s a wide choice of dishes, the food is consistently good (our frites were hot too!) and the wines are reasonably priced. We chose the Muscadet. Charming, efficient service from all the staff. All in all, another successful visit!!

From the moment we arrived the manager Lucy made us feel very welcomed and valued. This attention to customer service continued throughout our stay with all staff being simply fantastic. Although we had a slight issue with one of our dishes, Lucy and here team were straight onto it and everything was sorted without a fuss. Lucy remained focused on ensuring our stay was perfect and due to this we look forward to returning very soon. Incidentally the rhubarb cocktail is fantastic.

Wonderful to have Cote Barnes open again, fabulous service & food. A great breakfast treat with friends.

Brilliant for a family birthday with ages ranging from twins if eleven to the 90 year old birthday boy. Excellent table arrangement of two fours. Excellent dinner and service

What a great return, after few months closed, last night Cote just showed me why we always choose to go there! The team at Cote Barnes are Fantastic, very welcoming, warm and friendly. Yesterday it was our anniversary and we got a complementary glass of champagne. The food was superb, everything was delicious!! I believe that Cote in Barnes has the best staff and food in the area, it absolutely our favorite restaurant here.

We had a delicious lunch here. The food and the service were excellent. It was a lunch for a birthday and it felt really celebratory. Also one of our party was on crutches and it was really easy to access on crutches. A rare find! Thank you.

As usual it was lovely treat to in Cote, Barnes again. My friend & I sat outside overlooking the pond, the service was charming & professional & the food delicious! Altogether a lovely treat!

Was relieved not to feel too close to anyone, and the staff had face shields. Great food, great atmosphere. Our particular server seemed a little distracted, maybe a newbie, but we had been used to such efficient service before lockdown that it was a little bit annoying. (The chid was very happy with her slightly bigger than usual pasta portion!) The coffees were too expensive for their size.

Made very welcome. Excellent Covid protocols in place making us feel very safe. All staff very attentive and displayed excellent customer care. Brunch food and coffee superb.

We ordered two Lobsters and Frites, mine was lukewarm and ok, my wife’s was cold and tough, it was sent back, we were not charged for her meal and were given a free pudding and two glasses of wine. This is the first disappointing meal we have received at any Cote restaurant, normally food is brilliant.

My son and I had a lovely evening at Cote yesterday. The minute steak was perfect. My favourite goats cheese salad was as always great. We love the atmosphere and the friendly warm welcome that we get every time we go there. They always go above and beyond with any unusual requests... Glad you are open again. Susie

Lovely to be back in Cote after lockdown. Very attentive and helpful staff. Great food and good value. In this area we’ve been to the “premium” restaurants a few times and repeatedly felt underwhelmed - cold food, sub-optimal service but high prices - Cote is always consistent whichever one you visit.

Such really wonderful service and smiling waiters good food as ever and a most enjoyable evening The only downside I think the fries that come with the lobster are smaller than the fries are used to come !!!!
