Côte Birmingham

Having visited your restaurants in London, we knew the high standards to expect and were not disappointed. We look forward to another visit when next in Birmingham.

We'd recently been to the Worcester branch and decided to try this one, as we were going to a concert at Symphony Hall and liked the food and service we'd had in Worcester. Our table was booked for 5.45 and we were immediately seated and chose our wine, which arrived swiftly. We had a lovely, relaxing meal, even though we had to leave at 7 for a 7.30 concert. Our waiter was friendly, polite and attentive. I'd set my heart on the crab fishcakes, which we'd had at Worcester, but as they were not on the menu tried something new. The food was excellent, the wine was a little pricey, which you'd expect in a restaurant, but we'd definitely go again. Recommended!

Me and my partner had a lovely evening last night. My partner is gluten & dairy intolerant and we had 3 different people who were very understanding then went over & above to cater to her needs. When we come back to Birmingham we will be coming back 100%! Thank you!

An excellent menu with prices to suit all pockets. Friendly waiting staff and good food. Highly recommend for all occasions and well situated near the canal.

The food was very tasty and the service was excellent. Friendly and attentive staff. The atmosphere was very relaxed which made for a very enjoyable meal.

Lovely food, very helpful staff and great atmosphere - buzzy but not rowdy. The location in the Mail Box is perfect, and the outdoor seating area is a wonderful sun trap in the summer.

Post concert supper was delicious and the staff jovial and efficient. Nice to have a free bottle of wine. Champagne to celebrate a small Grand National flutter success.

Service and staff were great, food excellent, pricing a bit above the market price. Service charge is a no no. If you want to feed your people that's your concern not mine.

Fennel inedible fish cold otherwise ok but mains let you down

Really enjoyed this place on 2 occasions. Good service and great food. However, I am not happy with a service charge being applied to my bill. I will always tip but not happy at being told how much. And I think 12.5% is too much.

Really tasty food especially the swordfish steak and the risotto. Desserts exceptional as always. welcome was very friendly and serving staff were very attentive at all times. Would definitely recommend if you haven't been before.

Excellent meal and superb friendly staff....this is a gem of a restaurant...Good variety of food and some excellent wines to choose from......Would highly recommend and we will return soon!

So very disappointed. I have dined here numerous times, yesterday was a shambles. I ordered the duck roast breast which I usually have, it came with runny cherry sauce which was watery. I asked for some more as my food was so dry and the waiter took 15 minutes to bring more, when he eventually did after asking 3 times the food was cold. After leaving half of my meal uneaten due to it being cold I was reluctantly complimentary dessert as a 'good will' gesture.I don't see how a dessert on the house would make up for this as I was still hungry haven't not finished my main. Service was extremely slow despite not being busy and the manager wasn't at all phased that my food was dry and cold by time he eventually brought out more sauce. I was quite embarrassed by the whole experience, I had recommended the restaurant which my friend who hadn't been before. Won't be returning.

Relaxed atmosphere, great selection for gluten free diets, good service. Slightly limited vegetarian options. Extremely good value with a variety of a la carte or set menus.

Ok it was mother’s day and it was very busy. He service was ok but the food took for ever to come out of the kitchens. One hour for our starters and then when they did come 4 of the kalimari was cold. On the main meals they had run out of lamb so we ordered the salmon.when the mains arrived they forgot to but the salmon they had to wait another 20 mins for it to come out of the kitchen.

We had booked and had our choice of table. The winter cocktail was delicious 😋 and started the meal well. Bread and olives followed by chicken for one of us and spinach and mushroom pancakes with a lovely tomato salad was just right. Cote Birmingham is a great place to meet and eat.

Good food, great service from reliable Côte! Have eaten in Brum and Salisbury branches and will continue to do so happily if they maintain their quality and value standards :) The staff at both are lovely, friendly and attentive without hovering! Thanks guys:)

The food is excellent, with plenty of choice. The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and welcoming. Service is wonderful, with knowledgeable and friendly staff. All in all Cote is veryry good value for money.

Service is what shines the most, welcomed by Matt who was warm and friendly, all other staff members very attentive and polite too, a great experience over all, food game out quickly but was very fresh.

It was an Amazing evening! Couldn't be better The food was delicious. The service was excellent as well as the atmosphere. Definitely will come back

Excellent meal. I took a colleague for lunch for the first time and we were both very impressed by the quality and the presentation. I eat at this restuarant every Sunday evening in term time, buy my friend had never been before and has already booked a repeat visit. We had the complimentary French 75 aperitif which was excellent. As ever I had the Moules mariniere which is always good and my companion the Warm Roquefort Salad which was brilliant. We both enjoyed the roast duck with a glass of the excellent Chablis So a truimph really! Very friendly and helpful staff as always.

Not a great welcome initially but waitress for our table was very helpful and friendly. Great food, though perhaps a little rushed. Unlike our local Cote, we weren't kept waiting an age to settle the bill, so 'well done'.

Poor menu for valentines day compared to normal menu wasnt very impressive at all did actually consider leaving Was very expensive compared to normal menu wasnt value for money at all!

Good food at reasonable price in a nice atmosphere delivered with really good service.

The staff and food were lovely - however, when ordering the lamb rump which is one of the more expensive dishes, I wasn't best pleased that despite asking for it 'medium rare' it was overcooked and there was only one potato on my plate. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the staff were so welcoming and lovely, but naturally, the one thing people remember is the food, slightly disappointed but wouldn't stop me from returning.

From the moment we entered the staff were so welcoming & friendly, nothing was too much! The food was absolutely out of this world and has exceeded all expectations! The dessert was particularly amazing and I cannot wait to return!

Very good, as usual. Our guest loved his seafood linguini and my husband was delighted with the veal. My spinach crepes seem to have been prepared sometime before I ate them but the taste was good. Service was excellent and the staff remembered us from previous visits.

Good choice of dishes on the menu - both table d'hote and a la carte - smart dining area and first class service. Would definitely visit again,

I was disappointed with the food . The duck was quite bland. I loved the tomato salad & calamari was very tasty. Will return to explore different food on your menu.

The set menu was really good quality and value and the service was excellent. Our food arrived quickly and we were very impressed with the friendly helpful staff. Will definitely return soon.

Fine food with great service at the right price. I recommend this bistro tucked away under the Maulbix. We will be enjoying this eatery again and again.

A very good time was had by all, the waitress was particularly delightful. the only criticism was the chef went a bit mad with the salt. However when I dine there again I will pass on my concerns to the waitress , so all good.

Lovely food and surroundings pity the weather was awful so could not eat outside.

Great restaurant in true French Brasserie style couldn't resist the French onion soup, superb strong flavours, delicious, Then onto the Seafood Linguini....very garlicky, great prawns, mussels and squid. However, the piece de resistance was the creme caramel dessert. Wonderfully simple but oh so rich and creamy. It was without doubt the best ever and the intensity of the caramel sauce is unsurpassed. I like the complimentary filtered water in a very stylish flip top stone bottle and a very attentive waiter was quick to replenish it as we finished it off. This was a pre theatre dinner so we eat at 5.0pm with one eye on the clock, we need not have worried, an attentive staff looked after us very well and we moved through the three courses at just the right pace, My wife enjoyed Moules followed by belly pork and of course the creme caramel. Perfect and all for £18.95 {fixed price three course Prestige menu.) Don't miss Cote Brasserie in the Mailbox Birmingham for reasonably price food of excellent quality.

Fantastic as usual and great service from the staff who were all very attentive! Food was spot on and we all had a great night! The french onion soup was a personal favourite of the evening!

Luke was great, very friendly & food came really fast. Was checked on frequently but not too much. Managed to take us in even though we were an hour early for our booking.

Excellent Meal last night in Cote Birmingham. Food and service as usual the 1st class experience in all The Cote Brasseries I have visited. The menu has something for everyone and served by pleasant and skilled team. Well done Cote you have a winning formula. Ed B Birmingham

Food was absolutely perfect! Staff were friendly but my only criticism is that the service was a bit slow. We waited about 30 mins before our starters arrived as it was busy outside.
