Enjoyed it very much and eating outside was necessary for us , which you accommodated I think people who are vulnerable are prepared to pay to BOOK an outside table, i realise I policy is cant book outside , but just a thought

Lovely chilled evening with good service the waitress we had was lovely. There was breathing space between the starter and mains which made a change from other restaurants. A good experience!

Excellent to be able to eat in the restaurant again. Amazing breakfast as always.

One of my favourite restaurants. I love the food and the service is excellent. Having eaten during Covid obviously the atmosphere wasn’t like it normally is. I have eaten in Cote restaurants in other parts of the country, and although good, this one in Canterbury is exceptional.

Always a predictably good experience. Like having a lunch or dinner at your favourite club.

Lack lustre we were sad not to see the early bird menu. We had hoped the menu would be refreshed to excite the tastebuds after lockdown but it was very same old same old. French Bistro style food can be a tad more adventurous, the steak frites tough as old Harry whoever he is!! The fillet was good but for £20 plus with the sauce it did not represent value for money it was when presented as cooked the size of a boiled egg very disappointing. I think the emptiness of the restaurant last night was a bit sad Cote should be jumping through hoops to get punters through the door we love Cotes but after waiting Sooooo long for you to reopen it was a shame to feel so flat.

Our meal was very good, however out table was sited on the ground floor almost opposite the bar/servery and the noise generated by the staff clattering plates and crockery made conversation very difficult. Our enjoyment of the food and service was somewhat spoilt.

Very good experience with excellent food and service. We felt very comfortable with distancing and that all staff were wearing visors.

Up to Cotes usual high standards. It was our first visit since reopening and felt safe. We liked that all the staff had visors. Our waiter was especially charming although he was busy

Excellent staff ,attentive.lovely setting in Canterbury Inside and out, only drawback is the need for oxygen after climbing the stairs to the toilets! Also a bit noisy if seated near the set back area for plate clearance.

My husband & I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary here. We were offered a drink each on the house as our table wasn’t quite ready when we arrived which was lovely Prosecco, this was unexpected so we were appreciative. The food was very tasty & of great quality & we were not rushed at all even though we were the last table seating. I was quite anxious as this was my first time out for a meal since lockdown but I felt safe & the staff was very attentive. Thank you for making it such a memorable evening.

Don't like that you put on the 12.5%, putting us in the awkward position of having to ask to have it removed, if we so choose. We prefer to give a tip of our own choosing. As it is we were ok about leaving it, as the food and service were good. But don't like being guilted, pressurised, coerced or embarrassed, and suspect we are not alone. For this reason, despite good food, we will not be coming back.

Very good food - we had 3 courses and champagne and red wine and dessert wine. Great value - better than the Michelin starred restaurant we ate in last week.

Apart from the dreadful unsolicited floor show - which Cote had no jurisdiction over - from someone ‘singing‘ very loud hymns off key In the street immediately outside the premises, everything was perfect. Would recommend and will come again.

A relaxing and very tasty lunch! Chicken succulent, potatoes yummy and mushroom sauce full of flavours. Cremant full of bubbles. Lots of space and attentive staff. Thankyou.

Came here for my 18th birthday celebration with my friends and had the loveliest meal with amazing service, the restaurant had such a great atmosphere too !!!

A frequent customer we were very happy it is back up and running. It was mid Sat afternoon and initially very busy. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. The service was very good and the staff were very busy. Orders were taken and food was very good. The pate and rillettes starters are substantial. Long delay in paying as they only had one card machine. PPE apparent and the staff were wiping down chairs and tables as customers left. Good distance between tables and felt comfortable being there.

Fresh seafood. Good selection of french wine. Worth booking your table before heading there.

Maybe boring, but this is always our first choice when in Canterbury. Why would you go anywhere else when you've never been disappointed? Nothing is too much trouble for the fantastic staff, and the food is always excellent. I found today, during these difficult times, that the social distancing, and hygiene was above, and beyond. I felt safer in this establishment than I did walking the streets outside.

Very pleasant. Good food and good service. The rhubarb martini, iced cider and cote du rhone were ace. My wife enjoyed her chicken and walnut salad. I found my poulet grille a bit heavy going. Needs something to lighten it and spice it up a bit.

A very enjoyable lunch - good food, good service, buzzy atmosphere.

First visit since lock down. Took 45 mins for starter to arrive, I think that’s too long.... main course husband enjoyed his mine was a tad dry and boring .. passed on dessert .. bottle of wine was lovely. Bit mixed won’t rush back . Full marks to staff dealing with these strange times
