Our first meal out since Covid hit, and we felt not only that the staff were very aware and cautious, but that they were still able to give the outstanding service we have come to expect and appreciate from Cote. Both the restaurants in Canterbury and Haywards Heath always excel in making their customers feel like they are top priority and I love to spend our well and hard earned money in these restaurants. We missed our 5 year wedding anniversary meal that we were supposed to celebrate back in May, but the wait was worth the excellent food and service we received. So glad to see you are back! xx

It was so good to go out for a meal and feel that everything was (almost) normal. Cote has always served good, flavoursome and well presented food, and today was no exception. No shortage of friendly staff, and the service was very good. Cote never fails to please.

Excellent Covid spacing, team All wearing visors, felt very safe. And as always with Côte the meal was excellent and my gluten free requirements always catered for. Côte remains my favourite and I’m very happy Canterbury is (finally) back open!

Magical experience to enjoy an el fresco lunch in Canterbury in autumn. Such a pleasant meal that I can forgive you for offering me a Pernod instead of a Ricard!

Beautiful food, we sat outside on the last day of dine out to help out. The restaurant was extremely busy. It's on three floors and the toilets are on the top floor along with the kitchen. The staff must be very fit. Highly recommend.

Great birthday meal. Staff gave great service, especially to my 2 year old daughter, food was fantastic and the general ambience of the restaurant was cosy - even given Covid-19 precautions. Thank you côte Canterbury.

We did appreciate that the staff offered a commercial gesture because of the starter being served after all the mains arrived. That's why the rating is higher than it would have otherwise been. Much appreciated, however, it didn't reduce the wait...

Very pleased cote is back. We talked to our server at length about working for cote and she is very pleased. The Riley year portion was huge we could have split! Sea bream very good. The lobster was small as expected yet well presented and done. For a ‘chain’ Cote never feels like one and the finishing touches on plates show more than pre-prepped.

Food came out at different times and was not hot. I had minute steak which was disappointing. Have had it before and was lovely. Spinach was overloaded with nutmeg. Disappointed. Also had smoker next door (we sat outside). Horrible

We came here as a family 6 to celebrate a birthday. The service was absolutely wonderful and the food was delicious. A truly wonderful experience.

We had a lovely meal this afternoon. The service was great as always. I am gluten intolerant and Cote is one of the few restaurants we go to where I feel very safe eating the food. There is a good Gluten Free menu. I had the Pork Belly and Dark Chocolate Mousse ... both were absolutely delicious!!

Difficult to fault this impeccable restaurant situated right in the centre of a very picturesque city. Food is excellent, service is faultless and the staff are jovial and friendly. Thoroughly recommended and will not disappoint.

Service and food both first class.! We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and will definitely return next time we visit Canterbury.

Lovely food and lovely atmosphere great service will always come back

This was our first visit back to Cote since re-opening and were pleased to see it was exactly the same as before, beautifully clean, pleasant staff, of course the difference is the need to observe safety measures due to Covid, which was done by staff wearing visors and the tables well spaced. All good, apart from the fact that our table for 2 was too small to eat comfortably, but that could be resolved on our next visit.

AMAZING food and AMAZING service. Waiters and waitresses delightful and polite and utterly professional. Cant rate highly enough. Perfect.

Another excellent experience at a Cote Brasserie restaurant, this time in Canterbury. The staff were very attentive, efficient, polite and cheery. The staff were all very COVID aware and fully adopted preventative measures. The food was up to it's usual very high standard. Well presented and delicious, with good portion sizes. A very pleasurable experience.

This was a family meal with a 16 and 17 year old. Excellent and friendly service and a really interesting menu. Quality of food was excellent and the youngsters really enjoyed their meals. Only reason for not giving 6 stars is that there is always room for improvement in any service offering!

Food was as good as usual, and service fine, but there were a lot of people in the restaurant, resulting in us being uncomfortably close to other diners. Restaurants are relatively high-risk venues as far as Covid-19 is concerned, so spacing out tables more than usual should be a given, and that hadn't been done, nor were there screens between adjacent tables. Also, the restaurant being so full made it very noisy - inevitably everyone was raising their voice to be heard, and this is another well-known risk factor for the spread of Covid-19. Cote needs to take a long hard look at its policy in respect of capacity at peak times. We are unlikely to dine there again in the present circumstances, even though we have done so quite often in the past.

We have eaten here our last three trips to Canterbury. A few years ago we got engaged during one of our meals and the staff were very happy for us. On the 27th August this year we should have been getting married but it was sadly cancelled due to covid. We decided to have a few days away just to try and pass the days and we returned to Canterbury. We pre-booked Cote again and asked for the table we had got engaged at and explained what it ment to us. The staff where amazing. We had the same table and they couldnt do enough for us. Everyone of them came over i said how sorry they were to here about the wedding. The young lady serving us was amazing (apologise for not asking your name) . The food was excellent as always and what was a sad day for us was turned into a lovely evening thanks to the staff. A big thank you to all the staff on the night of the 27th, it must be so hard for them with the covid restrictions and guidelines but they are all doing a fantastic job and made us feel relaxed and we had a lovely evening
