Côte Canterbury

The staff as always were attentive, friendly and efficent but two of the four main courses had to be returned, the burger was cold and pork belly was totally overcooked and dry. This was dealt with as described above. We were a group of four friends who hadn't seen one another all year and had to ask for the music to be turned down twice because it was intrusive.

Friendly, professional staff, spotlessly clean environment and excellent food and drink. A lovely experience all round!

Lovely venue just re-opened after the Covid shutdown. Felt really safe and we were looked after superbly by the Cote team. The food was great tasting and great value. We really enjoyed our visit.

It was so good to be back at Cote and to see standards were still very high. The procedures put in place due to the pandemic very well organised and made us feel safe and valued.

Lovely food and service was great. Only odd thing was our complimentary water bottle having a frozen chip/chip bits pour out of it.

Wonderful to see Cote back, really been missed, thank goodness for home delivery, kept us going during COVID ! Just one small moan, the wafers with our Couo Noir was very soggy in fact very pliable not crisp as it should be. Really enjoyed the rest of our dinner very much, excellent.

They were not up to scratch with distancing, some tables not 2 meters apart. Cutlery, condiments etc handled too much be staff, same with drinks brought to the table. Hand rails on the stairs leading to toilets were sticky and 2 people could just about pass on stairs. Someone should liaise with the Foundry in Canterbury to see how it should be done. Lovely staff and good food though. Just need to improve COVID rules.

We were delighted when he heard that Cote Brasserie would be opening again in Canterbury so immediatly booked a table for four. The food was just as delicious as ever and presented very attractively. The staff did a very good job, as ever, despite having to wear protective clothing and managed to be cheerful and attentive at all times. The food arrived promptly and we felt it was very good value for money. I particularly enjoyed my starter of Charentais Melon and jambon de Savoie. It was a bit noisy in the restaurant, possibily because there were fewer tables and, of course, people were enjoying the opportunity to socialise once again and catch up with friends. We are looking forward to having breakfast when that resumes.

Eaten here many times. As usual great menu, good service and value for money. Particularly so with the Eat Out discount. Good position in central Canterbury, will definitely return

The service was excellent, friendly and professional staff. The atmosphere was lovely and the restaurant is very clean and tidy. Very good waitress with hardly any waiting time. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and can’t wait to visit again!

Everything was good, Nice table, Good service and great food. The fillet steak and creme brulee is particularly good. The thought of creamed spinach may not sound so good but thats really nice as well. Many Thanks

Excellent food (as always) and very good value. My only little criticism is that it is noisy wherever you sit downstairs. As my guests were 88 & 89 respectively, I didn't want to haul them up the stairs. We'll be back soon!

Great service and food. Unfortunately there was a loud group on a table next to us but you can't criticise cote for that and to be fair they offered an alternative table at the outset. We just didn't realise why.... We will be going back

Excellent service. My daughter has serious nut and seed allergies and we trust this restaurant to provide a delicious meal for her so that we feel very comfortable going there as a family.

As soon as you walk through the door greeted by welcoming friendly staff. Menu has a wide selection to chose from and at a reasonable price.

Very nice meal, and prompt service. Staff always friendly and pleasant. Only problem was being at end of restaurant next to disabled toilet, with a queue and people having trouble opening door...so rather noisy and not very private!

Lovely meal, lovely waitress who was very attentive & recommended a lovely wine. She also arranged a birthday surprise. Attempted to make an Irish coffee with sucess. My steak wasnt cooked great a d I’m normally the first to complain but I let it go as We was having a lovely time. I am a regular at Côte both in Canterbury and Bath. Today was not a good experience. I brought a couple of friends. The service was not very good and I did speak to the duty manager. However I was also disappointed with the food. I thought the sea bream was dry and the accompanying vegetables uninspired. I did not finish my meal. My guest asked for a flat white coffee and was disappointed to receive a cup full of froth. Sad - it was always my favourite town restaurant to meet friends but I will be looking elsewhere.

Thoroughly enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. Family meal enjoyed by all. Something for everyone. Glad the staff in each restaurant get the tips but I normally would give 10% so think 12.5% is a bit steep.

Lovely to be able to eat outside. Seabream with a pea and courgette puree was delicious. The crème caramel was the best I've tasted. Good, friendly service and reasonable price.

Service excellent but the ribeye wasn't great. Cooked OK but not a good piece of meat IMHO.

The restaurant was clean and well kept, the staff were well presented and pleasant. It was my first visit to this restaurant and once our order had been placed we didn't have to wait long. The waitress came to check that everything was ok with our meals after a few minutes which I'm happy to say it was .Our meals were delicious, well presented and hot which doesn't happen everywhere. All in all I was very happy with my meal and the service and will definitely be returning.
