Côte Canterbury

As usual food & service was great, only down side today was had to have streaky bacon with my full English breakfast. Will be back in couple of week for lunch, looking forward to it.

We were shown to our table promptly and served our cocktail, which was delicious. Out order was taken and the food was served quickly. The service was excellent throughout the meal. The food was very good as usual although my husband was a little disappointed with the risotto which was a little bland.

Good food and good service at a very reasonable price. I shall be going there again, soon, when next in Canterbury. I am looking forward to it!

Visited for my husband's 50th Birthday,where we were welcomed with a glass of bubbly, the food was lovely, the environment pleasant and the staff were friendly and attentive.

A special treat meal for myself and husband, but limited time. Had the premium set menu, and all very tasty and efficiently served

We visit Cote regularly around the country and we were again not disappointed,a superb meal,lovely waitress and as usual good quality french fare!.we find that at Canterbury you have to request " a nice table" because some parts of the restaurant can somewhat lack ambiance! so now when we reserve a table we always ask for the front of the restaurant.

The Canterbury Cõtes is our favourite. We are always impressed with the excellant customer care and fantastic food . Fillet steak with peppercorn sauce is our favourite. Staff are courteous and attentive. Thank you

Still our absolute favourite place to eat. Food is always full of flavour and fresh quality ingredients. The 2 course lunch is amazing value at £10.95. And they have a wide range of gluten free.

It's amazing how this chain manages to keep such a consistently high standard across all its restaurants, the Canterbury one in particular.

Overall a nice meal .. however main courses a little cold and 30 min wait for bread was rediculos. Our server wasn’t the friendliest and every seemed like hard work for her.

Overall we were reasonably happy with the 2 courses we ate. The 2 starters let the meals down overall. The crab starter had no true taste of crab so either there was insufficient crab or the quality wasn't great, or both. Crab has to be done well, so if pricing is an issue then I'd suggest not including it on the menu. The fish croquette (sorry but have forgotten the name of the dish), was seemingly heavy on potato and light on fish and too salty.

My wife, son and parents all went this lunch time to celebrate my fathers birthday. All was absolutely fabulous. Great food, great service, good drinks, and lovely ambiance. Could not fault anything. Well done to all the staff!!

As always great food the free wine with the meal was superb, service was a little slow, was nice to sit outside. The waiter was very friendly, will definitely return very soon.

Good food, good staff. I was a little disappointed with the wine. We had the Sauvignon Blanc, and it was lifeless. I usually buy New Zealand sauvignon, and even they need to be tested. There are some great ones, but these change every year. Even Greywacke varies from one year to the next.

Lovely meal before seeing a show. We've been to Cote 3 times now and always had a great experience. I can recommend it. The food is lovely and great value. The menu is varied and there's always a good choice.. Polite and quick service too.

This was the fourth week we’d been to Côte Canterbury and although the food was as good as usual, I have to say the the service was far far too rushed. As soon as the starters were taken away, the main course was presented with absolutely no break. No chance to digest the first course. Need to have a short time between courses to be able to enjoy the dining experience. Need to slow things down a little.

Almost up to the standard of your Chichester establishment. A little more crowded than the 28th Feb 2018, but did not detract from an enjoyable meal.

Super delicious food cooked to perfection and excellent efficient service over a very busy lunch time where 475 covers we’re being served on Mother’s Day! Booked on line the week before for 7 persons and a 2 year old who also cleared her plate! Couldn’t fault the team at Canterbury who were all smiling throughout as were the customers around us. Our fifth visit and certainly not our last, thank you!

We had a lovely meal with wine and coffee. Good service and we will return. The fish stew was excellent. In conclusion a great meal and good value.

As always, a really good meal, well prepared and served and very tasty. Shame about the Italian lady on the phone during our entire meal, talking at maximum volume - she really didn't need the phone!

Very nice mothers day breakfast even with a very busy restaurant good service. Always have problem with tip being put on bill. Although would have tipped as service OK

This is the third week running that we’ve been to Côte at Canterbury and it didn’t disappoint. Once again, very friendly, attentive staff and really enjoyable food. Absolutely no complaints. First class.

Excellent food. Very good value for money. Pleasant staff and quick service. We will go again. We use Cote whenever there is one available when we are going to the theatre or shopping.

Too notch food, best place for high quality great tasting food. Really good service and great atmosphere. We had the duck and the swordfish dishes and can’t fault them. I would recommend this place to everyone.

I encouraged my friends to go for lunch here as I had tecently visited and the fiood and service was excellent. However two if my friends ordered the seafood linguine and said that there was a strong aroma which “put them off”. I tried to tell them to speak to a member of staff but they felt as I had booked it they did not want to make a fuss. A shame I think. Service was as always excellent even though tit was very busy and everyone enjoyed their starters very much.

Had a very enjoyable lunch Saturday, we booked a table but arrive quite early, and were able to order just drnks until we were ready to eat. I am disabled and they moved furniture around to accommodate my scooter.

Very enjoyable. Food always good and attentive service. Sadly too full after a starter and main to enjoy dessert! We will be back on a regular basis even though we are a 45 minute drive away.

Not up to the usual high standard this time. Seafood croquets had more potato than seafood and the seafood linguine was a little sparse on seafood. Service was good at the start giving us time to savour the apéritif while choosing from the menu and before the starter which arrived fairly promptly. However the wine came too late to accompany the starter and as more people arrived the kitchen must have been under some pressure. The delay between the starter and main course was unacceptable, with no explanation or apology.

We had a great early evening meal at Côte, served by a very pleasant waiter. Our only disappointment, as is the case with all Côte restaurants, is the coffee - not good, all we can assume is the use of inferior coffee beans.
