Another great evening at the Cote Brasserie. It started with a personal greeting from the manager who remembered us from our last visit, and was followed by excellent service and menu choices. We brought family who had not been there before, and wanted to enjoy a night at the Cote after all we had told them about it - they were very impressed too, and will almost certainly be returning customers, as will we. Thank you Cote Chester for another memorable night.

Another superb experience at Cote. We reserved through the App and from the moment we walked in we were made so welcome. Our waitress even remembered our wine choice from the last visit,which is a nice touch.

Had a brilliant meal at Cote Chester on Sunday 11th February It was a late booking & unfortunately just as we were about to order my colleague had a call about security at a venue we were hiring. This held up the order and the staff for almost half an hour and instead of leaving as I thought we would be too late to order, the staff were very understanding and took the order for our two courses The meal wasdelivered beautifully and was wonderful. We introduced 2 of our friends to Cote on Wednesday. We were warmly greeted by the manager, Dean, whom we have had been very well served in the past. The food came well up to expectations, which is a relief when telling friends how good Cote is. The only slight matter that concerned me was that the waiter was the same one that served us on the last occasion who proved a little difficult over the cocktails. Our male friend asked for a dish of the cheaper lunch menu and requested a rib eye steak of the more expensive one. I had told him that this was acceptable as that is what I had done previously. The waiter told him in no uncertain terms that was not possible. I had to tell the waiter that if he charged at the higher rate there was no problem. He eventually understood. I feel that he was acting under instruction and probably should not be blamed but resented that he was not told that some customers do not mind paying a very small amount extra to obtain a dish he particularly enjoyed. I asked Dean what had happened previously over the cocktails. He explained that there has to be a record of our computer booking before they are allowed to serve cocktails despite the fact that I had a printed record that we had booked online. I asked how this could be remedied and was told that a telephone call in advance to ensure the restaurant had that record is advisable! May I suggest that head office looks into its systems as this is not the first time we have had this embarrasement. What is the point of booking online when it is not recorded?

Plemty of choice available on both a la carte and set menus, good selection of wines, excellent service from friendly attentive staff, flavours/quality in all courses were excellent

First time we have ever taken a fixed priced menu for Valentine’s Day but as we hav3 had always had fantastic service and food in the past we thought we would try it. Disappointed as food had obviously been prepared in advance - the smoked salman starter had been sitting on the plate for several hours as the almond was drying out. The haddock main course was also dry and unexciting. The win3 pairings were unimaginative and we would hav3 been better choosing a bottle of our own choice. We were served 2 different wines with out main and when we mentioned this to the waitress she said she would bring the bottle to the table which never happened. Overall a disappointing evening. Although will return will not use it for special occasions.

We have dined at many of the Chester restaurants. I would say that Cote is by far one of the best. The service is excellent and the food is fresh and prepared to a high standard. This restaurant is our go to place to have and excellent, relaxed and friendly meal. Lunch is excellent also.

Côte is one of our favourite restaurants; this was our first trip to Chester’s Côte and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Ambiance relaxed and calm, food wonderful, some of the best mussels I’ve had; drinks great. It was a birthday lunch which the staff at Côte made really special. We’ll be back.

All four of us came away feeling good. There was a slight problem, but this was rectified immediately & what's more bill reduced. Staff were excellent in the way that they dealt with everything. Even the new beginner was attentive & pleasant.

It was a fantastic meal throughout with exemplary service. We would recommend the Cote Chester to anyone and will definitely visit this restaurant again in the future.

Stopped the weekend in Chester so booked here for our evening meal on the Saturday. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the service we had couldn't be faulted.

The staff are lovely, very polite and the food was excellent. A draught beer would be a nice addition but other than that it was perfect.

Lunch on the first day of the advised social distancing because of Covid-19. We were the only table occupied at lunchtime - when normally it is very busy Not a lot of atmosphere for that reason alone, but very good food and a welcoming and attentive staff. Thankyou.

Lovely environment and restaurant, good value menu and general overall good experience, will recommend to people visiting the area.

This is a fantastic chain. I have dined in Cirencester, Shrewsbury and Chester and never been disappointed. Food is delicious and the service is excellent. The management obviously set great store on training their staff, quality and consistent standards of good food at reasonable prices. I keep returning and I have high standards. Thank you Cote.

Lovely food, quick friendly service. Would recommend and definitely return.

Slightly disappointed with the ribeye steak which was ordered medium rare, but was cooked quite rare. Also the service charge shouldn’t be added automatically to the bill, it should be up to the customer to decide how much to leave.

It's was my girlfriend's 30th and she was made to feel very special by all of the staff .Excellent service and food. Great job

I had a delicious birthday lunch with 3 friends and an unexpected free birthday drink. We chose from the Prestige Set menu and food was fab - the French Onion soup was one of the best I've had

Restaurant beautifully presented and waiters gave excellent service, just what you would expect from the very best restaurants, indeed it is was of the qualities that we really appreciate. Food and wine as always excellent with a wide choice, so that it never appears repetitive.

Usual Cote fare but service here was not as friendly or as efficient as other Cote we have visited ( and we have been to quite a few).

The food was good although the steak was a little tougher than I would have liked. Food service was terrible- served on cold plates and at different times, after having waited for an extended period of time. The waiting service was very good, particularly Niall, who was very good and constantly apologised on behalf of the kitchen.

Food was really lovely and the staff friendly and helpful. Fantastic vegetarian menu.

Good was great and reasonably priced. Optional gratuity always bugs me personally as I always tip and the waitress was definitely tip worthy, but shouldn't be assumed.
