Warm and friendly atmosphere, attention to detail restaurant cleanliness very good, food very very enjoyable, toilets clean and tidy, staff very accomodating, will definitely visit again...

My party was very impressed with the quality of both food and service. Furthermore I was pleased that my special request concerning mobility problems of one guest had been recognised and an appropriate table was provided for us. I will certainly return and recommend to others.

The food was excellent and the service, very good, which was most commendable on a busy Valentine's day. However, my experience was significantly dampened by being seated in one of the regimented tables for two along the wall, upstairs, on a very small table, with only enough room between tables for the wine bucket to stand. In my mind, Cote is a high-ranking restaurant and I was very surprised to see so many people "squashed-in" in a similar manner to more commercial restaurants. I would certainly visit again, but only if a nicer table be available.

Having dined at Cote the previous evening, we decided a late breakfast there was a great plan. As the waitress reserved a table for us we had no worries about availability and once again the whole experience was second to none. Five Stars

Decent enough place for lunch - just found on internet search. Very friendly staff and obvious many customers return judging by their welcome. I will return when next in Chester.

Another excellent meal (the third we have had with you since moving to Chester just before Christmas!) The two of us had booked in response to your email offering complimentary St-German G&Ts and the new March Specials Offers. Two friends then joined us for the meal and they enjoyed the food, wine, good service etc. as much as we did. Cannot wait for our fourth visit at some stage!

Very disappointing. I booked having experienced an excellent meal in Godalming Surrey and expected the same outstanding standard. Staff were badly trained stretching across customers to serve food rather than go round the table. I was told the ice cream was made on site but it turned out to be mass produced centrally in London and was very ordinary. The manager was scruffy. No bread served with the mussels so we ordered bread and received a massive decorative loaf which was not what was expected. Coffee etc was served before our deserts arrived which again was not what we wanted. It was a great shame as my son had come up from London to celebrate his birthday with his family and it certainly was not the memorable meal we had expected.

Pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food -we really enjoyed our meal! The staff were all very friendly The only negative comment was that the tables for 2 were a little too close together

Excellent as usual, food was very nice and service was good only downside is they apply 12.5% tip to your bill which is uncomfortable if you wanted to leave a tip that you feel comfortable with

Another great evening at the Cote Brasserie. It started with a personal greeting from the manager who remembered us from our last visit, and was followed by excellent service and menu choices. We brought family who had not been there before, and wanted to enjoy a night at the Cote after all we had told them about it - they were very impressed too, and will almost certainly be returning customers, as will we. Thank you Cote Chester for another memorable night.

We eat locally often and it is nice to make a change from the many italian restaurants in chester. good location, excellent service and a good menu. Quite pricey with little add-ons unnecessary.

Lovely food , slightly overpriced , not enough bread with the cheese board but tasted great , service was good . Lovely setting on the rows .

Service and food was excellent. Very impressed with the vegetarian menu and also vegetarian drinks menu.In all my years of being vegetarian i have never been offered a separate drinks menu. Will definitely visit again.

The four of us really enjoyed our evening. The food was fantastic and the service excellent. We particularly like the complementary rhubarb martini!

First time we have ever taken a fixed priced menu for Valentine’s Day but as we hav3 had always had fantastic service and food in the past we thought we would try it. Disappointed as food had obviously been prepared in advance - the smoked salman starter had been sitting on the plate for several hours as the almond was drying out. The haddock main course was also dry and unexciting. The win3 pairings were unimaginative and we would hav3 been better choosing a bottle of our own choice. We were served 2 different wines with out main and when we mentioned this to the waitress she said she would bring the bottle to the table which never happened. Overall a disappointing evening. Although will return will not use it for special occasions.

Most enjoyable, my husband’s first visit. Good menu, excellent service. His steak was a bit rarer than expected and they gave him a complimentary pudding which was a nice gesture. One point - we chose a Burgundy wine year 2017 but were given 2014, not such a good year. A bit cheeky.

5 of the 6 of us enjoyed our meals. One of the diners had the lamb; it had to be sent back as the potatoes were rock hard. The replacement came but the potatoes were still hard - he made the best he could of it. When we got the bill the we raised it with the waitress and she took that meal off the bill. It was such a shame as the rest of us enjoyed our food.

Good restaurant, the lady who received us and was our waitress for the night was excellent, a real asset to the restaurant. The food was good and very tasty with decent sized proportions and good value for money.

We felt very rushed with our meal, server made a mistake with veg order which arrived half way through our meal. When we received the bill they charged us for two drinks we never had. Left the restaurant after not an enjoyable visit.

Yet again faultless professional service and impeccable food. The menu has something for everyone including vegetarian options and the choice and quality of drinks and wine are great. You don't even need to ask for Water as it is brought automatically to your table.

Another superb experience at Cote. We reserved through the App and from the moment we walked in we were made so welcome. Our waitress even remembered our wine choice from the last visit,which is a nice touch.

The whole experience was first class from start to finish. The staff were all friendly and accommodating, the menu was a joy to choose from and the food was excellent. We would definitely return to this establishment.

My visit on Saturday last was up to the high standard that we have become used to from Cote in Chester. Four of us were warmly welcomed with delicious cocktails provided free after booking online. These are the third cocktails we have enjoyed at Cote and all have been excellent. All the food was well received especially the creme caramel which is the best I have had anywhere in the world. The staff at the end of the meal made us feel as though we were treated as old friends. I usually avoid eating out on Saturday nights as restaurants in my experience are too rushed and lower their standards but not at this establishment.

Myself, my mum and daughter enjoyed our meal greatly. The food was lovely and the staff were welcoming and pleasant throughout. My only reservation is with the optional service charge of 12.5 per cent. I am always happy to leave a tip but prefer to be given the option of how much. I did leave the full amount because I felt obliged which is different. It almost feels like a tax on the food and drink.
