First time back since lockdown! A lovely relaxing evening, with amazing food and attentive service and very friendly staff. Thank you, we are going out to Cote Esher next month, then back to Cobham in October. We have missed you!

Restaurant was fully booked. Staff coped quite well but the busyness showed in the quality of the food served-not up to usual standard. The government discount improved the value.

Table wasn’t ready Waiter couldn’t understand me ridiculously long time for starters to arrive Then waited an hour for main courses which turned up cold A shame as always had fantastic meals and service before

We really enjoyed the meal BUT my husband’s steak was very tough. We told the waiter and he gave him another steak which was marginally better but not as good as we have always had before at Cote. When the bill came up the staff generously took the steak of the bill. This was a very generous gesture on their behalf. The waiter then said that they were taking it of the menu! We are regulars at Cote and hope the Esher one is opening tomorrow. The 1st September.

Loved getting back to Cote - a well missed favourite. Only holding back on 6 stars because we await the return of the special priced menus which are the best value on the high street.

It was a very nice meal enjoyed it the staff were very friendly and we felt safe

Could do with screen between staff area and table as there was high traffic of staff members fairly close to table which didn’t feel very comfortable. Staff didn’t seem to keep their distance when coming to table & would lean over or stand close. Staff wearing dirty visors with finger marks over the front. Chairs/table should be cleaned more thoroughly between customers.

From the moment we walked in it felt comfortable as if nothing had happened over the last five months. You soon get used to the staff in face visors. We chose an early time for diner as the restaurant was in a quiet time which is for us is excellent. Love Côte

Good service, good food but we thought the cutlery should be in “ envelopes” - straight from the dishwasher and the tables more spaced out given the current guidelines.

We were very disappointed that the restaurant's only concession to the virus was issuing staff with visors. No tables had been removed, tables were too close together - no attempt to social distance. Menus were being reused. We felt very uncomfortable and unsafe. In hindsight we should have just left when we saw how busy it was and how crowded. The food is always good but we felt unsafe and uncomfortable. We will eat at restaurants that try to protect their customers rather than maximise turnover.

Much better than I anticipated. Food was really good, service was perfect and that was on a really busy day. I am local and this is the first time I have been to the restaurant and I will return.

I enjoyed the meal and the service was good, together with very attentive and courteous staff. The only comment I would make is that I and my two guests agreed that the french fries were too thin, we all said chunky chips would have been better.

Great service which seems to be unusual in restaurants at the moment. Nice atmosphere and great food.

We hoped that the reduced numbers would reduce the noise level but it was still as loud as ever. You must introduce bsome soft furnishings to absorb the noise level for a visit to Cote to be a comfortable experience.

Pork rilettes and crab starters were both excellent the crab was top quality and not over powered by the mayo and capers Good size portions Signature Breton chicken leg fine but breast was over cooked and dry We have had this dish in the past and have never tasted chicken as good as this ! So disappointing Service fast efficient super staff
