Côte - St Martin's Lane

We went for an early dinner midweek, and although the restaurant was quite empty when we arrived the staff made us feel very welcome. The food was delicious. Best smoked salmon I have had. Very good thin plat rapide steak with thin crispy chips and perfect green salad. Good wines by the glass and quick and efficient service. What we had thought of as a quick efficient meal turned into a huge treat!

I could not fault the warm welcome and attentive service. All the current Covid-19 regulations were adhered to with the minimum of fuss. The food was delicious and the complementary Rhubarb Martini aperitif much appreciated - will definitely order one of those again!

The decor was back to it's usual high standard the tables were sufficiently far apart for social distancing and the staff were their usual pleasant and helpful selves. The food was again, as usual, excellent and our meal was most enjoyable. The sadness was the emptiness brought about by the covid regulations. We are used to seeing the restaurant full and busy at 6.00 on Sunday evenings, when we normally visit. We very much hope you will be able to make the limited seating work and survive this dreadful situation and wish you every success. The musak did get a bit loud and intrusive at times.

Over the moon to be able to have lunch at St Martin’s Lane after six months waiting. We got the warmest welcome, observed thoughtful and careful safety procedures and are the most delicious food for a most affordable price. Easily the best restaurant with the best team. We’d never go anywhere else!

To St Martins Lane again for a lunch meeting. The warmest of welcomes and kind attentive service was followed by a perfect meal in delightful surroundings and a special ambiance where you knew everything was running smoothly. Food and wine delicious, service just right. No wonder we keep coming back!

This restaurant always seems to be busy, perhaps because of its location but also because the food and service are impressive. But the place gets very noisy.

The pre theatre menu is reasonable quality food at great prices. Service was very efficient and helpful. However the restaurant was very busy and rather noisy.

Cote's high standard can always be relied upon. We received a warm welcome. The service was good and so was the food and the atmosphere was excellent. It was rather noisy but that was only because it was full of people enjoying their lunch.

Lovely meal and good service from friendly attentive staff but it was so noisy in the restaurant that I could hardly hear anything my lunch guest had to say. The noise levels would sadly put me off coming back again.

Waitress was not friendly and welcoming. Table was ready on time.

I had booked a pre theatre table however we had to wait in a queue for 10 mins and only after I pushed were we seated in front of those who hadn’t booked. Our table was in the basement and was hot and cramped. Whilst service was quick and the food tasty, we had so little time following the delay to be seated that we had to rush and it was not a pleasant experience.

Excellent food and service. Just a shame they cram tables in so close together that it is always noisy.

The meal was of excellent quality and of exceptional value. However the service was so good that I wanted to send a message to your Head Office

Cote is always reliable and the food is good. The service is good although not always exceptional for the added charge. I elected to take up the offer of a free cocktail but due to misleading information from the first waitress we ended up not qualifying. So I will take future offers with a 'pinch of salt'.

Good service and lovely food at reasonable (for London) prices. But the noise level meant that it was difficult to have a good conversation. When booking we had asked for a quiet corner but this was ignored even though downstairs tables were available.

Excellent food and service. Restaurant very full for pre theatre dinner but the staff managed with efficiency and good humour. The noise level was high but this is to be expected at this particular time as there are so many theatres close by. Without doubt the best place for a time limited meal at a very good price.

Delicious as always! Good service, restaurant a bit too busy today but still efficient. Only complaint/suggestion: French saucisson sec should be sliced more thinly for best enjoyment.

Six of us ( 3 adults & 3 children) had an early birthday celebration / pre-theatre dinner here on Saturday. The restaurant was very busy but service was excellent. Food was perfect as always. We were looked after so well by our lovely waiter , Daniele. We love this restaurant.

Our party of four was given a very friendly welcome. We were given a choice of where to sit by a maitre-de whose obvious aim was to please the customer. Orders were taken promptly. The food was to a good standard which all in all made for a extremely enjoyable lunch time experience. Thank you.

I eat at St Martin's Lane quite often. The staff are always friendly and efficient - Ivette who waited on us today deserves special commendation. Good food. Good value.

Perfect light lunch before the theatre. Couldn't fault the food or service!
