Nice meal but the waitress was a bit abrupt. We had an email saying we could have a bottle of wine but wanted to check if this was with any menu. The waitress stated you have to order from this menu and snatched the other menus away quite abruptly. Besides this incident the rest of the meal was nice.

Let us take our table earlier than booked (couldn’t book earlier online). Mix up with starters was dealt with efficiently and effectively. Got quieter as the restaurant clearer which was better. Food choice and quality was excellent. Professional service.

Pros: delicious food as usual which we all enjoyed. Excellent, fast friendly service from our very busy waiter. Cons: very crowded and noisy Had to send back strange tasting glass of white wine ( but immediately replaced). A bit pricey (but understand that this is central London)

Most enjoyable evening - we ate very early because of the ballet so only had two first courses each - crab mayo and prawns. Just right and not too heavy. Despite being packed for Mother's Day the service was fine and got to the theatre in good time. Pity no disabled loo although they did offer to take my guest next door to some hotel!

Had a meal at this restaurant yesterday after visiting theatre, it was a lovely experience. Staff really dedicated and helpful and everyone of them had a smile for my husband and me, made us feel very special. I had the chicken and my husband had the salmon, they were both delicious and cooked beautifully. The chicken especially was so moist and tasty. We would both highly recommend this restaurant, and you definitely need to book as it was very busy when we arrived and when we left. ( This did not impact on service timing, meals and drinks were bought in very good time to our table.). This was my birthday ( I had not mention this) and this meal after our theatre visit really made my day and birthday. Thank you to all staff of this restaurant.

The meal was okay but I’ve had much better meals at Cote before so left a little disappointed. For what I chose it was overpriced, the fillet steak was small and not tasty at all. The chips were cold so we got them replaced and sides and sauce were additional. Some of the other meal options were more reasonable. We didn’t bother staying for dessert, thought we’d head to a nearby place for ice cream instead!

Very good food; attractive, buzzy ambience and really wonderful, warm and impressively professional service from Olivia, for whom nothing was too much trouble, including going out briefly to get mint sauce from a local shop. Recently a staff member at the London Bridge branch said, " ...everybody's been asking for mint sauce with lamb." So please save Olivia the trouble- not very French, I know, but a reasonable expectation if you serve lamb in England. Otherwise full marks- thank you!

We quite often meet at a Cote, but this was our first visit to this branch, and we were not disappointed. Our booking was for lunch pre-theatre and the restaurant was very busy (and noisy), but the service was excellent - efficient, calm and personal. As always, the menu choices were varied and interesting, and very good value. The three of us chose different options and very much enjoyed our meals. One of our trio is lactose- and dairy-intolerant, and care was taken to ensure her requirements were met. A chance remark of mine led to a final lovely surprise: the presentation of a complimentary dessert, complete with candle, accompanied by a rendition of Happy Birthday from a quartet of the delightful staff. All in all, a very pleasant experience!

I had booked a pre theatre table however we had to wait in a queue for 10 mins and only after I pushed were we seated in front of those who hadn’t booked. Our table was in the basement and was hot and cramped. Whilst service was quick and the food tasty, we had so little time following the delay to be seated that we had to rush and it was not a pleasant experience.

The food is always good and excellent value for money. Unfortunately today I had a table at 6.15 for a pre-theatre meal and our main courses did not appear until after 7.15 (play started at 7.30). The staff were reasonably apologetic and gave us 50% discount but that did not make up for having to shovel the main course down in 5 minutes flat. Hopefully this is not a regular occurrence.

We were on a very tight schedule between the end of the pre-performance talk and the start of the actual performance, the talk ran over so we didn't arrive until 1835. I had warned Côte and pre-ordered our meals. When we arrived they knew about us and served us quickly. The steak frites were very good as usual and the house red went down very well. We were out by 1910 in good time for the opera. The waiter was most attentive and helpful in spite of the restaurant being very busy. A thoroughly enjoyable and stress free experience, it couldn't have been better. Congratulations all round.

An overall good experience. The salmon was a little overcooked and the potatoes were undercooked. The restaurant has a good atmosphere although it can be noisy. Service was good.

The food was good as usual and the service was fine to start. However, as the restaurant filled - overfilled - it became difficult to get service (took ages to get the bill) and the level of noise was almost unbearable - had to shout to speak to my companion across the table. Won't be going to this particular Cote again.

Fantastic food, a separate menu for vegans, which made the vegan in our party happy, friendly service, elegant surroundings, reasonable prices. A good booking system and no problem when we turned up with an extra person. My only problem was that it's one of countless restaurants in the capital with no carpet or anything to mute the sound of a large number of people talking in a crowded space. This means, people with hearing difficulties and even those who hear ok but (like me) are well past retirement age, have trouble hearing the waiting staff or our own family at the table. Not relaxing to have to shout and ask everyone to repeat things.

Went for a 12 midday early Sunday lunch before football which started at 2;05. We both had two courses and a shared ice cream desert. It was all first class food, courteous and prompt service and good value for money. We left at 1:10 with plenty of time to get to our seats at the Emirates. Well done every one.

The staff were welcoming and cheerful. Service was efficient but relaxed. The boeuf bourguignon was exquisite and the desserts all looked tempting. Decided on the crème brûlée and didn't regret it. Nice clean toilets too!

As ever, the serving staff were efficeint and courteous. However, both the starter (mine and my wife's) were tepid at best and my wife's main course was cold.

Service good but my partner was very unimpressed with his main course. He ordered the lamb rump which was nearly £16 and consisted of only 2 very small pieces of lamb (1.5inches roun) and not that many vegetables to accompany it. We ate at 6pm but had to purchase additional food for him from a fast food company as he was hungry at 9.30pm. This disappointed me as it was my suggestion and I have always had good experiences of Côte Brasserie in the past.

Absolutely delicious lunch, with good service. Thank you! My friend started with goats cheese salad whilst I had asparagus. Then we both ate sea bream with fennel and potatoes puree plus side dishes of salad and green beans.

Arrived for the booking @ 8. Ordered 4 bottled beers, they were warm, mentioned it to the waitress, who said they had been busy. Wasn’t apologetic, but did get us an ice bucket to cool them off. We should of been pre-warned, not served the bottles and hope we don’t notice it !

We eat at Cote quite regularly and are never disappointed in the food, which is excellent value, good quality and well-cooked, or the staff, who are invariably polite and efficient. The branch in St Martin's Lane is a bit noisy and crowded, the downside of its popularity, and we were extremely put out to be turned away at Christmas because we hadn't reserved a table. So booking is essential - we won't make that mistake again.
