Great atmosphere, friendly and efficient service. Good choice of food and value for money set menu.
As aways an excellent experience, lovely food ambiance and service.
I like Cote very much. The food is always good, the service is excellent and it's very good value. But I am not impressed by the competition you just sent me to win a free meal. It won't let me complete the entry and submit it!
enjoyable lunch, good food , good value, good atmosphere, lovely staff
Sat in basement for first time in years of coming to this Cote branch. Which we found crowded and crammed in compared to upstairs.
Ceilia was very nice to us. Really takes pride in her service. The service was incredible. The steak was so good. Thoroughly enjoyed. We will be back to this specific branch!
Food and servers were lovely but the restaurant downstairs area was crowded making it difficult for the servers to cope, hence why some mistakes were made that otherwise would not have
All staff work so hard and went above and beyond to make our experience beautiful. Mom is in a wheelchair so the staff assisted me in manovering around the restaurant. The maitredi (sorry didn’t get name) blue suit was so lovely and friendly not only to us but I watched and he was lovely to everyone. Thanks for making special memories with my terminally ill mom. We had the best meal thank you xx
Good service. One of the dishes, the asparagus risotto was very bland.
Very good value and friendly attentive service. Attentive but not over bearing. Excellent for a pre Theatre meal. Good choice of wines at decent prices.
First time visiting this particular restaurant but it was a little disappointing compared to the one in Clifton Bristol. The service was a little slow and we had to ask for our complimentary drinks a few times. When we ordered our meals, the starters were fine but when the main courses arrived all dishes were overcooked - one even couldn't even eat their pork due to it being too overcooked/tough and one meal was incorrect! upon payment, we noticed we were charged for the cocktails which we had to query. I really like Cote Brasserie in Clifton but not sure I'd go to the one in Covent Gardens again due to the variety of choices very close to the theatre district. Sorry :(
Pre-theatre menu had enough choice for everyone at a reasonable price. However, the eggs benedict/florentine came cold to the table as evidently the kitchen only puts cold hollandaise on top of the hot poached egg. The ratatouille similarly came tepid to the table without such an excuse. The rest of the meal was fine and the staff attentive despite it being really busy. Full marks to the strong waiter who helped the wheelchair in and out - but why don't they get a ramp?
Very enjoyable meal pre-theatre. Service throughout was excellent (especially as I arrived late due to an overrunning commitment) and did everything to make it an good time. Only slight negative was found it quite noisy at time as it was very busy.
Busy restaurant but receive prompt & excellent service and a tasty meal.
Table was ready & we were well looked after by personable staff on a very busy Easter Holiday day .Very good pretheatre menu , good wine list all served on time!
Our service was amazing everyone was lovely. Food was a little hit and miss. We both had calamari which was nice. My salmon was a little dry. But everything else was good.
Not quite up to the normal high standard. Calamari were tasteless and fries were hard Very hot in restaurant and air con not on
Nice food, bit pricey. Bit noisy. But overall pretty good. Slightly annoying when they ask you for review then state that you haven't been wordy enough! Are they paying me for this review? I don't think so!
Delicious food from the Prestige menu. Excellent service. French atmosphere. A pre-theatre dinner but would happily spend all evening there. Have been to several Cote restaurants and all brilliant.
Both meal and service were very good, despite the restaurant being very busy.
Good choice of food on set menus at very affordable prices for Central London. Nicely presented. Good service with friendly attentive staff in spite of being very busy.
The staff were excellent during a busy pre theatre period with girl managing the door a standout.
Excellent food and service . However the restaurant ,like other Côte restaurants we have been to , is far too noisy during busy periods . Consideration should be given for baffling the noise somewhat.
After eating in your restaurant I came down with food poisoning that very night and have been off work ever since (4 days). I will not be eating in your restaurant ever again. I cannot categorically state it was as a result of your food that I became ill but I will not be taking the chance again.
Definitely one of my favourite places to eat! The staff are friendly and the menu is gluten free accommodating without sacrificing flavour. Highly recommend even if dining alone
The staff makes many efforts to make our presence more pleasant!!. I say they do it very good!.. And customers are happy about that
To St Martins Lane again for a lunch meeting. The warmest of welcomes and kind attentive service was followed by a perfect meal in delightful surroundings and a special ambiance where you knew everything was running smoothly. Food and wine delicious, service just right. No wonder we keep coming back!
Great service with a smile, excellent value for money, and lovely tasty food. Would advise to book as very busy. Would definitely return for a pre theatre meal.
Excellent Service, very attentive and quick. Excellent Meal Nice atmosphere but noisy.
Great food and atmosphere. Excellent service from a friendly, polite and helpful waitress. The meal was very well presented and prepared. Looking forward to our next visit.
Service from our waitress was friendly and considerate. My tuna nicoise was not up to usual standard: it was small, arrived without new potatoes in it and I'd asked for the tuna to be cooked medium but it was rare. I asked for it to be cooked a bit more and it came back medium rare. The restaurant was very busy but unless I'm offered a discount because of that the quality of the food should be the same as always. Disappointed.
Good food and good value for money. Very popular so is a bit noisy. Service quick and efficient. Recommended for pre-theatre meals both matinee and evening.
Busy but staff managed to be attentive & good food 👍
The food here is always good and tonight's pre-theatre menu was no exception. The waiter who served us was a delight and made our experience all the better.
Cote's fixed menu is an excellent choice prior to a theatre trip..and this branch is excellent. Always warm and welcoming, with great service. Highlight for me is the steak frite, and we do always like the starers. It never feels like a set menu or cheap option! Wine is OK rather than great.
Varied menu, good prices, busy, bustling restaurant, can get a bit noisy at times. Food was good, great service (lovely waitress called Silvia) & overall a great experience.
Lovely as always. Although very bisy the Service was Excellent along with the Menu, Food and Wine. Faultless and outstanding value for money Thank you Cotes
Great steak frites! A Very busy location so don’t forget to book. Always good service and value from cote and very convenient for the west end
The restaurant was very full but the service was good as was the food. The starters were excellent and the Sea bass was well cooked and tasty. Desserts too were excellent.
Very disappointing! I chose Cote to take two guests from America as I have always had consistently good experiences. Unfortunately I felt very let down from the time we arrived having to stand in the doorway and wait for our table (we were offered a table in an empty basement/dungeon which we refused) service was very slow and erratic and the food was average with my guest having to send his steak back as it was over cooked! Not your best...
Everything perfect thank you all. Will be back next week.
Hi Food quality very good and the creme caramel was excellent! Only negative is that the main course was lukewarm. Very helpful waiter, who provided directions (using his mobile) on how to find the theatre.
Eat here often always excellent food and efficient friendly staff..was here with girlfriends, we typically spend 3 hours plus when we meet.. obviously chatting and catching up.. Cotes never rush us so once we have eaten our food we sit back with our delicious choice of coffees and relax Highly recommend Cotes I have eaten in many different ones around the country, never had a bad meal consistently good.. with no hidden extras 😊
Delicious food. Good value, good portion size and good service.
An overall good experience. The salmon was a little overcooked and the potatoes were undercooked. The restaurant has a good atmosphere although it can be noisy. Service was good.
An excellent meal, all my group enjoyed it very much. Only downside to look at is the difficulty in acquiring an aperitif. No Aperol or Campari available for my wife. Once this disappointment had passed everything went smoothly & all the dishes we had were excellent.
Really tasty meal and we like Cote as a good place for lunch and dinner. Overall service was good and friendly. Learning points - didn't ask if we wsnted vegetables. Toilets not very clean (gents and ladies) and no paper towells in Gents. Things constantly dropped in the staff area throughout the meal. After saying this, the quality of the food means we would go back (French onion soup was delicious as was the steak).
The food was good as usual and the service was fine to start. However, as the restaurant filled - overfilled - it became difficult to get service (took ages to get the bill) and the level of noise was almost unbearable - had to shout to speak to my companion across the table. Won't be going to this particular Cote again.
Although very busy, our waitress was very friendly and polite. Food and service were good
Went for a 12 midday early Sunday lunch before football which started at 2;05. We both had two courses and a shared ice cream desert. It was all first class food, courteous and prompt service and good value for money. We left at 1:10 with plenty of time to get to our seats at the Emirates. Well done every one.
