Good food - Iust say I really enjoyed the beetroot salad (it wasn't warm though) and the chicken with gratin potatoes and a cream mushroom sauce was delicious. But OMG sooo noisy in there. Don't go if you want to have a conversation!
Great atmosphere and good service. The meal was not rushed which allowed us to have a relaxed evening. The food was rated highly by all members of our party.
Very good steak frites. Always like the atmosphere. The service was prompt and, given that I had a train to catch, that was very welcome.
We came early as we were going to the theatre. We were served promptly and courteously and we thought the choice on the menu more than adequate. You set a good standard. Alastair
Totally reliable food, wine and service - excellent value and always enjoyable. Post theatre and quite late but it made no difference to the friendliness and efficiency
Normally highly rated. This time lamb unavailable, soup had to be reheated, chicken special dry tasteless & cost refunded by courteous staff who also offered a replacement dish.
The food was great as always but the service was a bit slow and I had to ask for correction of my bill as the complimentary drinks were added instead of being deducted.
The restaurant was very busy so the service staff seemed a bit stressed with the number of people they had to serve. Didn't help that everyone was there for at least a two course lunch. Our food arrived in good time and was very tasty.
Fabulous food, good choice and excellent service. Would definitely come again and would recommend this restaurant to anyone. 10 out of 10! Well worth a visit.
Brill meal quick efficient service. Straight from amazing performance at the Coliseum. Reasonably priced meal and wine completed a great day from Liverpool. Thank you
Excellent meal. Excellent service. Good atmosphere and perfect for pre-theatre as it is perfectly located near Leicester Square and Charing X Stations. I like most Cote's and this one is no exception .
Really helpful staff. Perfect service and stunning food wouldn't change a thing would definitely come back here again. Great location for the coliseum. We had a lovely time
Nice welcome, good service, good busy atmosphere, food good without being great. Good value for money. Would definitely visit this restaurant again and recommend to friends.
Very easy to make a reservation online. Good food and service despite being a very busy Saturday evening. Used Chichester, Salisbury and West End all have the same high standard.
Excellent, personal service despite being so busy. Fixed price menu very good value. All the staff worked well as a team, not just our waiter.
Really delicious breakfast at Cote, Covent Garden. The staff couldn't have been more helpful in making a small substitution for one of the items. As always, Cote excels!
Very good waiter. Very convenient for Duke of York's theatre which is virtually opposite. Always enjoy the steak frites. Shame no aperol available from the bar.
Service was good. I was seated and my order taken in a fair amount of time. Food and drinks came promptly, one slight point is that sometimes service could be a bit too quick as my plate was almost taken away before I had finished. I do want to go back though.
Had a great evening. The pre-theatre menu has great value and the food, wine and service were amazing. I would go to this restaurant again
Very nice food and quick efficient service by polite staff! Very busy because the food is so good so I would recommend you book in advance if visiting this lovely restaurant particularly if your going to a show! We booked for 5 which is just about right for the theatre at 7.30! Enjoy
Lovely place with a nice atmosphere. Our waitress was really friendly and the food was great. Overall a good experience and I would definitely come back!
Good value with two courses and a free bottle of wine. Enjoyed the food and will visit again. We found it very hot but someone kindly opened the door for us and let some fresh air in.
Nice restaurant. Will return again. 12.5% gratuity added to bill and marked as Optional, even though they add it before showing the Total amount. Gave them feedback that gratuity (which we didn't mind paying) should be added after the Total (food & beverage) amount but they didn't receive the feedback too kindly.
Nice menu selection for the pre theatre menu. Reasonable size portions and food tasted great. Deserts were lovely and good value. No complaints here and we will be returning.
Delicious food, but the service was a bit slow and we ordered bread and it didn't come. It was a busy evening, so the staff were rushed off and distracted.
It was a very enjoyable meal, pre-theatre. It appeared to be important to book, as we saw many people turned away. Although busy, service was good.
Good food, nice wine and excellent, very obliging friendly staff. Fransico was our waiter and did an excellent job. A most enjoyable occasion. We will return.

The restaurant was as busy (and therefore noisy!) as usual and good value. A couple of dishes were unavailable but had substitutes, and, overall, we had a very good meal.
Great attentive service and varied quality food. Ideal for a pre theatre meal. Reasonable price too. More than adequate choice for Coeliacs with a dedicated menu.
I thought the restaurant was good. I was served promptly but without rushing. The food was enjoyable. The portion size good. The staff were good.
Great service but one or two issues with the food. Lamb served with blue cheese was a strange, unpalatable combination. Meagre portions of some dishes - not as other Cote branches. Steak Tartare was tiny unseasoned and not traditionally made. Scallops tiny, barely cooked and swimming in oil. The service made up for the shortfalls in the Chef's abilities and we will be back. Thanks to Aurora our waitress for holding it all together.
The table was ready, the food was up to Cote's usual standard (good), arrived quickly but we did not feel hurried. My only reservation is that the tables are very close together - I know why, but I would prefer a little more space.
Service and food excellent. Tables a little too close together. Restaurant overall a little too noisy (pre-matinee theatre crowd); shows the restaurant is popular and doing the basics right.
Excellent location. Welcoming and professional staff. Good choice of food. The wine list is sensible and well priced. The fixed price menu representsexcellent value for money.
Very pleasant restaurant and excellent food although a bit noisy in the evening! H I will definitely go back ! A bientot tout le monde!
Pre-theatre meal very good value as always, tasty, well presented and quick service. The slight disappointment was their renowned crème caramel desert which we always have. It is now smaller and served without any cream which they used to do. I would willing pay an extra 50p on the set menu price for it to be as it used to be, always the highlight of our many meals there.
Very busy from 5.30 to 7.30 then eases off. Great food. Staff work really hard in this manic eating house. Tables, loos clean. I know most eating places in London slap on a 12.5% charge, but I do not advocate this assumed imposition. I believe we should be free to reward good service as we feel appropriate, and restaurants, especially chains, should all pay a living wage.
Consistently good as always. Ideal for pre theatre. Fast efficient service, good priced menu and convenient for many venues. Expect Cote St.Martins Lane to be noisy though and you must book ahead.
Despite being an extremely busy time for the restaurant, the staff were friendly & efficient and the food was the usual good standard for Cote Brasserie.
Could not fault the food, but the service was not so well , the waiter informed us as she took us to the table that we had to be out in less than 2 hours, we would have liked to have had time for a coffee and biscuits and cheese but felt pressured to leave on time as were told there was a group of 250 people turning up , overall would recommend, but check how long you have to eat!!
The food was of excellent quality and good value for money. The service was efficient and the atmosphere good. Overall it was a great night out.
Excellent food, happy waiting staff who were very obliging. Service was prompt without making you feel that they wanted the table free. I can recommend the pancake dessert.
My wife and I had a very good lunch here. The food was well prepared and excellent value our waitress was charming and efficient. An enjoyable experience!
Lovely food and very good service The restaurant was too hot though. Almost unbearably so but everything else was fine. Definitely will use cote again
A great meal in a restaurant with a good ambience. Despite being full the service was very good and the waitress looked after our every need.
We are so grateful to the waiter who picked up the fact that five of us were celebrating our 70 birthdays and offered us a glass of prosecco with kir on the house, which was most welcome. The service was also excellent.
Food was very good. Our waitress was very helpful - sorting out what I could eat off the menu (I can't eat garlic ) The restaurant was rather too noisy for our preference
We do like this restaurant and really enjoyed our meal which was served in a timely fashion. This was important as we were going to the theatre afterwards.
As always a good meal in a bustling lively atmosphere. Food consistently good, in particular the grilled Breton chicken. My wife is gluten free and there is a separate gluten free menu, which is a bonus. The only very minor criticism was that my wife did not have as much cheese in the French Onion Soup as I had in my non gluten free soup!
Very lovely staff just like every Cote, they can't do enough for you. Lovely location as well, will definitely be returning next time we are in London.
