Excellent food and service as always at Cote. We enjoyed free Kir Royales followed by the lunch menu which is good value. I would recommend highly.
I had a gorgeous evening with my girlfriends celebrating my birthday at Cotê. It was the perfect spot for a relaxing and enjoyable evening. We never felt rushed (which is a rare commodity in central London!), the staff were a pleasure, there was a lovely buzz and ambience in the restaurant without being too loud, and I was even gifted a happy birthday song by the staff (and half of the other diners)! Thank you to everyone at Cotê who made it such a memorable evening. Affordable, and well catered dining. Highly recommended.
We were going to the opera at Covent Garden and we know this restaurant is convenient, good and quick. We had booked a late lunch and the staff were ready for us . We enjoyed a selection from the set menu and were out in good time for the opera.
Great location, close to the underground and covent garden. a really good value fixed price lunch menu. friendly staff and good atmosphere. would definitely return.
Excellent pre matinee set lunch. Plenty of choice and enjoyed by all. Very pleasant service and would recommend the branch to anyone on the move through London.
Service, as usual, was in excellent. Food is always good & excellent value, & there is a wide choice of dishes. We are usually there for pre- theatre dinner, & for these reasons are always happy to dine there.
We usually enjoy visiting the St. Martin's Lane branch of Côte and this occasion was no exception. We were earlier than usual and, therefore, able to take advantage of the excellent pre-theatre menu which offers a good selection of starters, mains and desserts for £13.95. Our food was all cooked to perfection and washed down with a good value Bordeaux red wine. Service was excellent and we couldn't fault anything during the evening.

Excellent and friendly service with first rate and well priced food! Always our choice for a group gathering as everyone is happy and satisfied. We will be back Again !
First class and friendly service and quality of food and good value for money, as always. I will undoubtedly make another booking at this restaurant in the future.
good food + good value for money. That is how I rate my experience at Cote Brasserie St martins lane. I now have written enough words
We always have great food here with a varied menu, interesting specials and efficient service! The restaurant was busy but we did not have to wait for our food. The swordfish was excellent and the crème caramel superb!
Very good food (whitebait, moules and steaks frîtes) and good value, but the service - especially taking our order - was quite slow, though friendly.
Excellent service and good value menu for pre-theatre. The reason I have only given it a 5 is that the steak was tough. The staff were very apologetic, offered something else and didn't charge us for the extra wine to compensate.
Good and friendly service, as always, and Cote took notice of our request for a table by a window, quiet as is reasonably possible at a Friday lunchtime!
Great service and food. Took my mother before Carousel on 25 April and we couldn't fault it but you need to book pre-theatre. Loved the dark chocolate pot!! Will definitely be back.
It was our first visit to Cote Brasserie, but it certainly will not be our last. It is so nice to be greeted when entering a restaurant instead of looking for somebody to see where you should be seated, or wandering aimlessly around. Your meet and greet was excellent. The restaurant was busy, but nonetheless we received excellent prompt and welcoming service, again without having to try and attract the attention of a waiter/waitress. The food was excellent - well prepared, with a wide choice, hot and well presented, with good crockery and cutlery. All in all an excellent experience and one we will definitely repeat.
We are dinning almost twice a month, we love the menu and the Lagarde Blanc white wine Thanks the hospitality of the staff as well.
Very good service, our waitress was fantastic. The restaurant was very busy but we didn't have to wait for anything. The food was good too, the usual Côte standard.
First class all round. Friendly welcoming and attentive staff Excellent options for food - which is well cooked, well presented and tasty Broad selections of wine - kept well and served at the right temperature. Highly recommended
Excellent food, charming service and a great atmosphere. We can rely on lunch at Cote being a rewarding experience and look forward to our next visit.
I always enjoy Cote. Just two little niggles on this visit - my steak was more cooked than the usual soft pink and the waiter was clearly overworked but did his best. We enjoyed our meal regardless.
We arrived early, the guy at the desk said he didn't have a table ready, and we should go away and come back in half an hour, which would have been the correct time, and he MIGHT have a table ready. His attitude was awful and rude. Anyway he did us a favour, as we went to a Greek restaurant next door, which was really good. Not going back to cote!!!
We often eat at this restaurant and have never been disappointed with either the food or the service. Highly recommended for good food at a reasonable price.
Reliable pre-theatre meal yet again, quick but not hurried service, fair price fixed menu, pleasant house red wine. The restaurant was busy at 5:45 so we were pleased to have booked. And literally across the street for Half a Sixpence (the show, not the meal bill!)
Busy branch of this popular chain. Had to wait a while for each course, perhaps not enough staff to cope with the large party was in. Food very good.
A very pleasant meal in pleasing surroundings. The Steak Frites is an excellent dish, although my mint, pea and courgette soup had a slightly "boiled" sensation....
The service level and food quality was very good and menu choice was more than ample. Will definitely be back in the next few weeks to see whether it always meets this high standard !
Great food, price and atmosphere. Looking for one in or near Milton Keynes! thank you. We will be visiting again and telling friends about the experience
Pre Theatre in this lovely restaurant where it is essential to book. Food good, service good and price very reasonable for central London. Set menu excellent value.
Food, wine and service very good. Due to timing at busy pre-theatre peak rush our table was in the basement, right at the back and a little claustrophobic.
There is a wonderful buzz in this restaurant as it is always busy. The staff are very efficient and the food is always tasty. Great value set meals too
Great service and food, plus a wonderful atmosphere. We had the lunchtime fixed menu and were pleased with both the choice and the portion size.
Excellent food and friendly service. Very reasonable prices. Coffee after, rather than before, dessert would have been better. The best crème caramel I have ever tasted!
We had a delicious meal and although it was a very busy time the service was excellent and considerate. The menu is interesting and varied as is the wine list. I'm already planning another visit to Cote.
A very pleasant meal, well presented. Good choice of dishes on the lunch menu? Good service, good value for money. Restaurant a bit noisy. Thank you.
Good set menu - unfussy - friendly staff - and good to sign up to their loyalty prog for the comp bottle of wine :-)
Excellent food, good choice of first and main dishes - and desserts. All very fresh and well presented. Efficient and welcoming service and a great atmosphere
Drinks and olives slow to arrive and came separately; main meal then arrived so we asked to hold. Meal came back heated including the lettuce!
Excellent food, value and service as always. A good start to a nice evening in London followed by a visit to the theatre. We won't let the threats of yesterday stop us coming to London.
The staff were excellent, courteous, kind and efficient. the meal was very good indeed and we shall look forward to eating their again. Well don Cote.
Friendly service and good food. Our table was ready when we arrived and a very pleasant smiling waitress ushered us to our seats. Very satisfied.
Lovely table by the window. Amazing deal with 3 courses for £13.95. Food was excellent backed up by great service. We also tried the special red which was delicious with the steak. I would definitely recommend.
Cote food is good value for money. However, it is too popular and very busy and noisy at lunchtime. Mid afternoon is preferable when most diners leave and quieter 'afternoon tea' diners arrive.
Poor reception. 4 tables in window available but placed with someone's' back in my face. Very noisy and slow, though pleasant, service. Food ok but good value. I suppose this is London pre-theatre dining.
Excellent service and food. Where ever we go we always look for a Cote restaurant first. You know exactly what you are getting. Pre-theatre menu and pricing is just as impressive.
Very busy en noisy place visited by people before theater. Beetroot salad taste was a little bit disappointing. Grilled chicken was tastefull. All in all quite nice, not excellent
Cote ha been first choice for meeting friends ( and solo visits ) for the past few years. Staff always welcoming and, if lunching, never any pressure to vacate table.
This is a really great place for pre-theatre dinner and its easy to get to from Leicester Square or Covent Garden. Quick, friendly service, very reasonably priced, and the food was very tasty.
Excellent attentive service and tasty meal as usual before our theatre visit. We always come to Martins Cote prior to going to the theatre and will continue to do so.
Having been loyal and enthusiastic customers of Cote for many years, sadly its time for us to move on. Our last two meals at Cote have both been BIG disappointments. Firstly at Tavistock Street, a month ago the service was very poor, this time St. Martins Lane, the food was well below what we have come to expect. 4 dishes (in our party of 9) were cold and had to go back (2 others were also cold but they decided to persevere) What we did eat - Chicken was dry, steak was tough and service was dreadfully slow. All in all not good. Having booked Cote literally scores of times, they will not get our booking next time in town. I can only think that previously high standards have gone to their head and complacency takes over. - Obviously there is plenty of choice in London and we will now vote with our feet. - Shame
