The pre-theatre dinner menu was very good value for money with plenty of choice. The food was very good and the staff were friendly and efficient.
As always the food was great and the service excellent. There were 11 of us for pre-theatre lunch and everything went perfectly. Have been many times and will definitely return
I had booked a table for 4.30pm for three people on Sunday we arrived on time and were seated at the table there appear to be a great shortage of waiting staff and we sat for nearly 10 minutes before anybody at ended out able out orders were taken and the complementary water arrived a bottle of wine we ordered came soon after the starters talk of further 15 minutes before they arrived in table and again we had quite a wait before the main course was so as the performance at the opera house started at 6.30 PM we did not have time for deserts sadly this is my worst experience of this branch of cote the the restaurant itself was exceptionally quiet and I'm not sure what the two waitresses that were attending the tables were doing but they did not appear to be looking after the customers
Get there much earlier than you need to if you have to get to the theatre. Food good but are in 4 min and ran after waiting for 35 min!
Good service, good menus, at a little prices. Perfect before a show in the theatre near from the restaurant. Really good experience in this french "brasserie"!
Very good waiter extremely helpful and promot as my nephew was on a short lunch break Steak very good and tasty with lovely creamed spinach. Good dessert and coffee. All in all a very enjoyable lunch Definitely make regular vistas.
The food and service good but felt very cramped at our table for 4, could have done with more space. Would recommend all the same.
Lovely friendly staff so a very congenial atmosphere - and we were given the table I'd asked for (which we knew is for 4 when we were only 2) so could hear each other as its in a quiet corner. Food very good (pink duck and good fishcakes) and wine properly chilled
Good value pre-theatre dinner. Busy as expected, friendly staff kept us informed about food service timings. Recommended and never been disappointed at any Cote restaurants.
Excellent meal, served by good waiting staff who showed interest in their roles. The food was tasty and well presented and the house wine good quality
Good pre theatre menu. Good choice, good value. £13.95 for three courses. We had a table of 8 and service was good even though the place was full.
Tables were very close together to the point of making it difficult to get between them Food was good with fast & pleasant service. Ideal for a quick bite before the theatre.
We both really enjoyed the one course we had at lunch time today. My Risotto Vert was one of the best I've had in a long time - and I often have risotto when eating out, so have much experience from which to draw comparison. My first visit to a Cote restaurant too, but will definitely not be my last.
Another fantastic visit to Cote. thank you so much, yet again. a great ending to another fab weekend in london before heading back up north.
Fantastic as always, its our go to when in the west end, always briliant service, good menu choices, no long waits, perfect. It was my mother in laws birthday treat and they brought her a cake with a candle and sang her happy birthday.
Lime and soda drink not straight forward. Warm wine. Lukewarm food. Squeeze around table and all access routes. Blocked toilet which is downstairs right next to kitchen.
Have been a frequenter of Cote for several years now They NEVER disappoint - always very dependable We use 3 of thei restaurants in London and my family and I use 3 in Surrey
Nice atmosphere - dependable and well priced food. Tavistock Street is in a great position for Covent Garden etc and the quality/price ratio is excellent for the area.
Great food service and ambience would visit again. Only comment is that tables could be spaced out a little more, but appreciate this probably not financially feasible
As always excellent food and great atmosphere 😀 Always enjoy visiting Cotes excellent service and never feel as if you are being rushed out will keep going back .
Food and service were good but the restaurant was so busy pre theatre that it was obvious the kitchen couldn't cope. We got there at 6 and didn't get our main course until 7 so we had no time for desert - such a shame as I know how good the deserts are!! They also wasted time by serving the meals before giving us cutlery - totally mad.
From all the Cotê restaurants that I've visited, this one was a little bit disappointing: our table was greasy and we had to wait more than 10 minutes for it to be cleaned. And even the food wasn't that great, as usual, particularly my mine dish was slightly overcooked and under seasoned. When receiving the bill, I've noticed that promotion I qualified for was not included, however, that was rectified quickly and additionally our wine was taken off the bill - that was a very nice gesture!
Great food and service as usual, the menu has changed slightly and so I was a bit disappointed that a couple of my favourite dishes were no longer on the menu but still had a great meal.
5 of us ate there today. 2 of us enjoyed the good value pre theatre menu - I had the steak frites (close my eyes and I'm in France). 2 vegetarians found stuff that they wanted to eat, and apparently the mushroom and spinach crepes were extremely tasty. A very reasonable bill at the end . The only criticism? a few more olives and a more generous bread allowance for the nibbles beforehand would have gone down well.
Four of us friends there for dinner before heading to see musical 'Beautiful' - Cote Brasseries are my favourite places to eat before theatre as such great service, good choices of delicious food and very reasonable prices. Many thanks to all who work at Cotes.
Lovely food and great service as always from Cote. Staff were cheerful, attentive and excellent. Portion sizes just right. Good choice on the pre theatre menu. Would definitely eat here again.
Nice evening at cote, food was really good as Leah's and the service was expand too none. Highly recommend to anyone that is looking for a good value and great service
Food was as good as it always is and theatre dinner so reasonably priced. However on my last visit (Tues 18th July) the staff outdid themselves with their friendliness and professionalism.
Fantastic service, lovely good and great atmosphere. Quick and good value, especially if you are going onto the theatre or a show. Good choice of food.
This was our 3rd visit to this Cote and, once again it was superb. We were cheerfully greeted by the manager and by our friendly and efficient waitress. The choice of food was excellent with some different combinations of ingredients. A very good start to an evening out. Thank you. Tim & Helen
The first course of apple, endive and roquefort salad bore no resemblance to what was stated on the menu which hardly any roquefort cheese and no endive. Very poor.
Wow....food was very good...amazing value for money....and the service was ten out of ten A great evening and would definitely recommend this place. Keep up the good work Only one suggestion....change the deserts on the set menu....they have been the same for years!!!!
Good food, enjoyable meal. The restaurant staff were reasonably able to deal with issues and food was quite good. We were slightly disappointed in the time it took to pay.
Good range of food, on specials, pre-theatre and full menu. Good celection of wines. Complimentary table water without asking. Altogether, a good meal. Will return.
The restaurant was very busy as it was pre-theater. But this didn't stop the waiters providing excellent service. Excellent value with the set menu and good food.
We had a great three course meal in this restaurant before going to the theatre. The staff were very friendly and the service was impeccable
Always dependable. Excellent food and extremely good value for money. The pre theatre menu is especially good. Very popular - so do need to book in advance
Great ambiance and good food. Excellent value for £ on the pre theatre deal. Why not try it out for yourselves. You will be pleasantly surprised.
It was as always very good pre theatre , set menu, quick service tasty food, good choice on set menu or a la carte if you prefer
The food was good but the service slow and although one waitress was good the others came across as arrogant and/or surly. I realise this restaurant is in the middle of a tourist area but the service in the other branches is considerably better - e.g. Hays Galleria. Also there was only 1 bottle of cold beer as there was a problem with the fridge - there are ways round this.
Very good. Nice atmosphere, good quality food with variety of dishes to choose from, good service so in plenty of time for theatre after pre theatre meal. Set menu great value. Will definitely return and recommend to others.
very poor service and slow service plus the incorrect bill was given twice. We knocked off the service as so poor. Disappointed as a great fan of Cote.
Excellent service, although it was very busy with pre-theatre diners, we did not have a long wait and when the food did arrive, it was superb. Very friendly staff and would return along with recommending this restaurant to my friends.
Excellent food - delicious [ as always ] served by very friendly and helpful staff . We experienced excellent customer from a delightful young Italian girl
In the restaurant there was quick service and great food. Also the attentive waitresses made the experience great for a quick after work meal out.
Great food as always although the service felt a little impersonal, as they were very busy! They also forgot to bring out the bread before the starters, but they allowed us to change the order quickly and were very apologetic about what had happened.
Usual quality of Cote was a bit off today; service as warm as ever, but goat cheese salad was composed almost entirely of inadequately roast onion and lettuce - little sign of other veg. Clearly stocks were run down in the hot weather, but this option should have been removed from the menu. The "crouton" was also untoasted, sadly - all rather miserable. Other choices were okay, but it might be a while before we return to Cote.
No air conditioning, very hot and had heating on by window. Food good, very busy restaurant but great location next to the theatre for the shows.
We were advised by a friend to book in advance as the Restaurant was popular. We booked for Saturday the 8th of July at 17:30 hrs. When we arrived there were a few people in front of us who had not booked and had to be turned away. We were then immediately shown to our table by the window. Food was very good indeed. Service was efficient and fast. One very small niggle - it was a very warm day but the heating was on by the window! We mildly complained and it was promised that it would be seen too. This was a first visit to Cote Brasserie. The price was very reasonable for the West End. I like the fact that a small percentage (lower than 10%, I think) was added to the bill and a notice given that the gratuity all goes to the staff. We intend to book Charlotte Street branch for next Wednesday we we go to 'An American in Paris'.
Extremely busy place, but the waiters coped remarkably well with the pre-theatre rush. Food was lovely, and particularly good value. We regret not having had time for dessert
