Excellent food - delicious [ as always ] served by very friendly and helpful staff . We experienced excellent customer from a delightful young Italian girl
As usual very pleasant service. Helpful and courteous. Our meal was served quickly and efficiently which was good as we were going to the theatre. Can always rely on a good, value for money deal at Cote.
It was as always very good pre theatre , set menu, quick service tasty food, good choice on set menu or a la carte if you prefer
The food was good but the service slow and although one waitress was good the others came across as arrogant and/or surly. I realise this restaurant is in the middle of a tourist area but the service in the other branches is considerably better - e.g. Hays Galleria. Also there was only 1 bottle of cold beer as there was a problem with the fridge - there are ways round this.
We were 10 mins early had to wait for table - that's ok - very busy - drinks took a while to arrive and I had to ask for my prebooked rewards drinks but waitress good and food excellent
Very good. Nice atmosphere, good quality food with variety of dishes to choose from, good service so in plenty of time for theatre after pre theatre meal. Set menu great value. Will definitely return and recommend to others.
Positive: Lovely food, lovely staff, theatre menu good value and plenty choice. Not so positive: Hot day and no air conditioning so rather uncomfortable and only one toilet working for ladies.
very poor service and slow service plus the incorrect bill was given twice. We knocked off the service as so poor. Disappointed as a great fan of Cote.
V good food and lots of atmosphere. Service as good as it possibly could be given how busy the place was. Perfect location just yards away from the theatre.
I have visited here on several occasions and have never been disappointed with the food. Excellent value for money. Nice atmosphere. Also great before theater.
Excellent service, although it was very busy with pre-theatre diners, we did not have a long wait and when the food did arrive, it was superb. Very friendly staff and would return along with recommending this restaurant to my friends.
A restaurant in a great location serving delicious French food by welcoming, efficient & friendly staff. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and would visit again.
Great ambiance and good food. Excellent value for £ on the pre theatre deal. Why not try it out for yourselves. You will be pleasantly surprised.
Good food and service. Monthly menus offer a good range of options for each course. Vibrant ambience yet not noisy. No pressure to rush and release table. Excellent value for money.
Love the food at Cote - fixed price menu is excellent value with a good choice of dishes. Service was good as well. Only issue is that being fully booked it was noisy to the level where conversation became difficult - not their fault but don't expect a quiet meal!!
Service and food as consistent as it is in any other Cote...that is what I like about your restaurants..you can rely on it being a pleasant experience. The one problem at the Tavistock restaurant is the 'Ladies Loo'. It is down steep stairs, it is VERY small...difficult to get in to especially if someone else is waiting... and you have to wait outside in the way of staff carrying food from the kitchen upstairs to the restaurant. Yesterday one of the two loos was out of order and the other one had a very faulty loo seat and no loo paper. !! The restaurant was very busy with people waiting for tables which didn't make things easier. I understand that it is problem of space and location in that restaurant but what you do have does need to be greatly improved and MONITERED regularly.
Our visit to Cote in Tavistock Street was great from start to finish. The staff were efficient and very pleasant and the food excellent. We all thought it was excellent value too.
In the restaurant there was quick service and great food. Also the attentive waitresses made the experience great for a quick after work meal out.
Great food as always although the service felt a little impersonal, as they were very busy! They also forgot to bring out the bread before the starters, but they allowed us to change the order quickly and were very apologetic about what had happened.
Brilliant location right in the heart of Theatreland. Fast courteous service for Pre-Theatre meal. Lovely food and well presented. An ideal restaurant to visit soon!!
We booked to go there as it was close to the Aldwych theatre. The underground was packed, the streets were busy, and we were therefore late for our table we had booked, and understandably they had given it away, as it was so busy, however, the staff were fabulous and let us stay at the front of the queue and found us another table quite quickly. We had the pre-theatre menu, lovely food, and each course came very fast. Lovely place, does get very crowded around theatre times, but that shows how popular it is and other people must rate it highly too. Would go to a Cote restaurant again definitely, Thank you
Usual quality of Cote was a bit off today; service as warm as ever, but goat cheese salad was composed almost entirely of inadequately roast onion and lettuce - little sign of other veg. Clearly stocks were run down in the hot weather, but this option should have been removed from the menu. The "crouton" was also untoasted, sadly - all rather miserable. Other choices were okay, but it might be a while before we return to Cote.
Food excellent, extremely good value for money and service is very good always extremely helpful if you want to change something would also recommend cote to a friend.
Been here on several occasions & find the menu varied & interesting. More importantly, the staff are always friendly & helpful, regardless of how busy the place gets ....... & it does get very busy. Thoroughly recommend this branch.
Very busy when I arrived so a bit of a wait for the table even though I'd book. Nice glass of complimentary fizz while I waited though. Food is very tasty and came out fast prior to our theatre show. Good friendly service and a wide menu choice. I would recommend.
The food and service were very good. The only downside is that it was exceedingly noisy, though this is understandable for a full restaurant in Theatre-Land.
Very, very busy before theatre start times but staff were happy, quick and efficient. Would come again - If you want to eat between 5pm and 7pm you MUST book or you'll be waiting for ages.
The experience was spoilt when it came to the end of the meal. The service during the meal was very good, and the food was excellent. Having finished, we had to ask for the bill 3 times, and it took half an hour before we got to pay. Very disappointing end to what was otherwise an excellent meal.
Food was delicious - cold tomato soup and seafood pasta. As ever, staff very helpful and friendly. Queues were out the door when we left - no wonder!!
Always dependable. Excellent food and extremely good value for money. The pre theatre menu is especially good. Very popular - so do need to book in advance
Good food and friendly and efficient staff. Restaurant was very busy but the staff worked very hard. Food was good value for money and we enjoyed our visit
No air conditioning, very hot and had heating on by window. Food good, very busy restaurant but great location next to the theatre for the shows.
We were advised by a friend to book in advance as the Restaurant was popular. We booked for Saturday the 8th of July at 17:30 hrs. When we arrived there were a few people in front of us who had not booked and had to be turned away. We were then immediately shown to our table by the window. Food was very good indeed. Service was efficient and fast. One very small niggle - it was a very warm day but the heating was on by the window! We mildly complained and it was promised that it would be seen too. This was a first visit to Cote Brasserie. The price was very reasonable for the West End. I like the fact that a small percentage (lower than 10%, I think) was added to the bill and a notice given that the gratuity all goes to the staff. We intend to book Charlotte Street branch for next Wednesday we we go to 'An American in Paris'.
On a very hot day and a completely full restaurant, the staff were brilliant. It must have been pretty awful for them, but you would not have known it - except for the inevitable damp patches on their shirts! Given the heat and the fullness of the restaurant, the quality of the food was very good and the service quite rapid enough. The branch passed a considerable test with flying colours.
Extremely busy place, but the waiters coped remarkably well with the pre-theatre rush. Food was lovely, and particularly good value. We regret not having had time for dessert
Excellent service enjoyable lunch, impressive crab and avocado starter, followed by steak with bearnais sauce, we were very impressed with the wine list and selected a bottle of Bordeaux. Good value
Very friendly staff. We were welcomed with a complimentary bottle of wine (my introduction to Cote Rewards). The staff were very understanding of one of my guest's dietary needs. The food was served quickly and efficiently (which was important as we were going on to the theatre) and everyone enjoyed their meal.
A very warm welcome, excellent staff - and delicious food. The seabream was perfectly cooked. Such good value.Superb staff, always smiling. They made our early supper a wonderful occasion.
As always, high quality food and an efficient service. Cote restaurants are always dependable, clean and are my favoured choice for reasonably priced dining. Will repeatedly use.

We had a delicious meal despite turning up at the St. Martins Lane Brasserie instead of the Tavistock Street Brasserie. Our mistake was dealt with efficiently by a very friendly and welcoming member of staff. All the staff were very helpful and friendly.
Great food and service. Very friendly staff. Good value menu and quick service if you are going to the theatre. Thank you for a great meal!
Good food and service, excellent value too. What more does one want (or need to say)! Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah
The first thing the "welcomer" said to us was we had to leave in under 2 hours even though we arrived early! Main waiter at table was excellent but support servers clearly lacked experience and not all side dishes arrived - we had to ask again. Also when being served or handed the bill I like to make eye contact and not have my server looking anywhere else.
We had the pre theatre menu which is exceptionally good value for money and very tasty. The only downside was the tables were packed really close together. I got knocked a couple of times as people passed.
Welcoming but very busy - not surprisingly, given the location. This meant that service was a little slow. Excellent quality and value for money - consistently reliable.
Booked pre theatre menu on a Wednesday evening with my husband for 6pm. I arrived a little late & the restaurant was almost full - very busy! Seems like the pre theatre menu is very popular! I ordered the tuna starter & my husband ordered the crab & avocado. We shared & preferred the tuna. For main, I ordered the veggie risotto & my husband ordered the steak frites. I found that the mains were better than the starters however, all food was good for the price - 2 courses for £12.50. The service was good - our waiter cleared plates away promptly & brought extra bits when asked. There was a nice buzz in the restaurant as it was so busy. Toilets could have done with a bit more attention - there was no loo roll but thankfully, there were napkins by the sink. All in all a good dinner for the price but nothing wow. Would definitely revisit if I had a show to go to in the evening again because of the convenience & price.
The pre-show menu was very good value for money, the food delicious and the staff efficient and friendly even although the restaurant was very busy. We were all packed in rather tightly but that is only to be expected when just across the road from the theatre. It's an indication of how popular the restaurant is.
2nd time I've dined here this week. It was extremely busy (food warm rather than hot) and the waiter somewhat distracted - although as always - very friendly.
At 530 they had not got the appetiser we wanted we should have been told this when we sat down.service was not up to usual cote brasssrrie standard
In keeping with the usual Cote standard we experience - this is no exception. Excellent service, food and a lovely warm welcome. No rushing either.
