MY FRIEND AND I ENJOYED OUR VISIT VERY MUCH. THE MAIN COURSE AND SWEET WERE VERY TASTY. CRUMBLE COULD BE ADDED TO THE SWEET MENU. NOT INCLUDING THE LOYALY DRINK IN THE LUNCH MENU WAS A BIT CHURLISH HENCE ONE STAR MISSING
Hadn’t found Cote until a few weeks ago. Now have been twice in as many weeks! Excellent service which wouldn’t be out of place in a 5 star Fitzrovia place. Lovely food at reasonable price. Easy to book, very welcoming.
Wonderful food , served by attentive staff and all in a timely manner .. you couldn’t ask for more !
Fabulous evening! Mid week dinner with the negroni offer. Everything was delicious. Staff were friendly and wonderfully professional. We tried the steak tartare & pissaladière to start and the poulet roti & moules frites as mains all washed down with the ever faithful lagarde rosè. Highly recommend!
Wonderful lunch, as always. I have never had a bad experience here. Good value for money and good quality food. Quick and efficient service. Thank you very much.
After booking to take my mother for mother’s day lunch, we were very much looking forward to our experience. However, when we entered, we were waiting almost 10 minutes to be greated and then seated at our table. After this things did not get any better. We were almost forgotten about at our table as the service was very slow and our waitress almost seemed annoyed that we were there. The food was great as ever but unfortunately the service really let us down this visit. We do frequent cotes quite often and were excited to take our family but we were lady feeling disappointed. A real shame.
Food and service were very good. However, having eaten previously at another branch, I booked the restaurant because it has a good value 3 course Prestige Set Menu which includes both meat and fish main course options, as my sister cannot eat fish. I was very disappointed that two of the six main courses were unavailable at 7.30pm " because it's a busy Easter holiday week" , with no alternative substitutions offered. We were therefore obliged to choose from the a la carte menu, (which also had unavailable options) and consequently paid much more than we had intended. I felt that the restaurant should have planned better for an obviously busy period and offered alternatives when they ran out. I will hesitate before eating at a Cote Brasserie restaurant again, as it marred an otherwise positive experience, which could have been easily remedied.
Service and food both excellent. We both particularly liked the Creme Caramel.
I am a starch free diner for medical reasons which I made the restaurant aware of beforehand. Bread arrived with my starter and I was given no option of an alternative. We then waited an hour for our main course after our starter with no explanation. The food and atmosphere was really good when it arrived. It’s not the first time I’ve had issues with Cote delivering me food that has starch in it.
Low rating as belly pork was not well cooked. Fat not rendered out and crackling not crisp. Made more acceptable by price being taken from the bill
Tuna nicoise was OK but should have been half the size and twice as thick to get it a proper medium rare. You have done it before really well but not this time.
Great food and service best place to eat in Exeter
Great food staff lovely we all enjoyed it thank you thank you for the chocs you gave to my husband for his birthday that was a lovely touch
Excellent service and the food was lovely - both the pork, lamb and sea bass dishes were excellent. As ever the creme caramel was the star - worth the visit alone. Four very happy diners.
As always, excellent food and great service at very competitive prices. We are always pleased with the consistency of the services from Cote. We have visited Cote restaurants in various cities in England and have enjoyed the experience in every one of them.
Another delicious meal with refreshing rhubarb martinis to get us in the mood for seasonal specialities. The salmon, Cornish new potatoes and asparagus followed by a very creamy creme caramel were excellent. The generous glass of well-chilled champagne was a perfect complement to the food. We will return!
As usual, great food, excellent service and very good value for money. Looking forward to our next visit to Cote, we use them all over the country and have never been other than pleased.
Chicken and walnut salad was very poor, only 2 walnuts and mostly leaves. Only lemonade was Schweppes, Table next to us went back the fish they had. Was busy today, shame really.
Good meals, pleasant service just right for mother's day.Got a nice window table.Coffee ina cafftiere as per the menu would have been better but not available.
Lovely food but ordered a rare steak and it was medium at best. Couldn’t be bothered to return it etc. It was good but basic error for a twenty pound steak
Lovely late breakfast in a gorgeous setting. Food is always delicious, service is always excellent and the atmosphere here is chilled & relaxed. I feel like I’ve had a treat when I dine here.
Ok food small portions nice staff nice venue wine to expensive could do with some complimentary bread on the table but over all a nice place to eat
Lovely food as always, staff very friendly and efficient, always very welcoming. For quality and value for money you won’t find a better place in Exeter. See you all next month.
Wonderful meal, excellent service and very attentive staff. Thank you for a lovely evening
Lovely food, great staff, excellent service and an all around brilliant evening. Can not fault one bit!
A lively, pleasant atmosphere. Staff welcoming and attentive. Courses generous and well-presented: the three of us had Boeuf en Croute, Haddock and Poulet as our main courses and we were full of praise for them. Overall, an agreeable experience.
Lovely breakfast as usual! Service very good from efficient staff.

Lovely location , great food , fab staff and we loved the complimentary Rhubarb Martini Cocktail ! Always safe for coeliacs like myself to eat at Côte x Minor point .... white wine barely chilled . I work in hospitality myself and always aim to have chilled champagne or white wine .
Delicious food, good service. Very nice settting. Good atmosphere. Was quite busy when we went so loud at times but that’s the only negative I have.
Outstanding as always. As it was a joint 70th birthday lunch that I mentioned when booking we would like to thank the Exeter staff for the birthday gifts and the sparkling wine that enlivened a lovely lunch. The food was excellent and well presented and the staff friendly and knowledgeable.
Starter was lovely, the chicken Breton not so good, dauphinois potatoes delicious. My dessert arrived cold - crepes with banana. Staff were lovely. Would like to know your policy on allocating tables. When we arrived we wanted to sit by the window but it was a table for 4 and were told no. Within 10 minutes another couple arrived who had not booked and were allocated this table???
Lovely as always... excellent food and staff! Sat in the window with the sun shining in looking at the beautiful Exeter Cathedral, with a complimentary birthday drink .
We had an excellent experience. The food was delicious, perfect portion size and very tasty. The service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. I requested a window seat which we got.
Always superb service and delicious food! One of the best restaurants in Exeter!
Excellent as always never been disappointed lovely staff and service, definitely recommend the French onion soup well worth the 40 mile train ride to Exeter from Barnstaple
Lively atmosphere, and great food. The Tarte citron was fabulous, and the meat excellently cooked. Can also recommend the fish stew, lovely. This is a popular restaurant in Exeter even on a wet rainy weekend mid February we struggled to get a table with a weeks notice. Only negative is that everyone was enjoying themselves so much it was quite loud....
Excellent food and atmosphere, we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will be back.
As always, excellent food and lovely service. The best food chain in England. What more do you want me to say? More? Still more? Goodness! Is that enough words?
Excellent service, table staff were spot on, a few hickups with orders but waiters could not do enough. Would recomend to anyone. Thankyou Cote for an enjoyable evening.
I enjoyed my main( steak) but my husband did not enjoy his bream. It was bland and could have done with sauce or flavouring of some sort.
Good food, good value and friendly/attentive staff . Will definitely be using this restaurant again .
As always excellent food, with a fabulous view and super friendly service. We had the early bird menu which is really good value for money.
An excellent meal for four people. Booking easy on line leading to friendly reception. The Menu choice is very good and the atmosphere very pleasant. Thank you.
Very busy so a little lacking in good service. Two choices of meal unavailable. Offered a free cocktail as compensation which was nice. Overall good but service standards brought down rating.
Lovely food, excellent service by friendly staff, and a really good vibe any time we have visited. Can see why this restaurant is so busy. They also have a good selection of Aperitifs and wines.
As usual great interior very good staff and of course last but not least great food , we do enjoy going there for great choice of menu we recommend a visit but advisable to book

Excellent food, service, location. Only reason it's not a five is because we had to send a side dish back as wasn't cooked and the second time it still wasn't cooked....
Lovely staff & food, always a great experience, thank hour
