Easy booking procedure - delicious food and very efficient and friendly staff who acknowledged one of our party whose birthday was on that day. A wonderful, relaxed and enjoyable visit.

We booked online for our wedding anniversary and had a lovely lunch at the restaurant. The staff and food were excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal thank you.

After booking to take my mother for mother’s day lunch, we were very much looking forward to our experience. However, when we entered, we were waiting almost 10 minutes to be greated and then seated at our table. After this things did not get any better. We were almost forgotten about at our table as the service was very slow and our waitress almost seemed annoyed that we were there. The food was great as ever but unfortunately the service really let us down this visit. We do frequent cotes quite often and were excited to take our family but we were lady feeling disappointed. A real shame.

Gave us a special anniversary drink and pudding came with “Happy Anniversary” message dusted with cocoa powder. Perfect tasty meal with great service. Lively atmosphere, perhaps a little load, but nothing to complain about.

Very loud, slow and mussels weren't cooked properly. Rib eye tasted like a wetherspoons steak. Monkfish was overpowered by garlic. Not a good experience at all

There were five of us in our group. We each had a starter and a main, but you'd never knew it if you'd seen our plates at the end. Delicious! Too good to leave anything behind. The view, atmosphere and staff were all brilliant. Can't wait to go again.

Good atmosphere and helpful staff. Salad Nicoise - tuna overdone and almost no potatoes. Chicken salad - no walnuts, 2 French beans, 2 small chunks of avocado. So not that impressed. Previous experiences have been better. Maybe avoid Sunday evening?

As usual, great food, excellent service and very good value for money. Looking forward to our next visit to Cote, we use them all over the country and have never been other than pleased.

Chicken and walnut salad was very poor, only 2 walnuts and mostly leaves. Only lemonade was Schweppes, Table next to us went back the fish they had. Was busy today, shame really.

Great as always. Efficient service. Food really tasty. Good range of courses including specials. Good ambience. Still one of my favourite places in Exeter. Like the offers.

We visited to celebrate my daughter in law's Birthday . We had a very good meal from the set menu which we all thought was extremely good value. We were delighted with the unexpected glasses of fizz to toast the Birthday Girl. Well done Cote. a lovely evening had by all.

Good as usual, BUT, it is asparagus season in England, and we came specifically for the asparagus as it is on your menu! Well, no asparagus left at lunchtime today...VERY disappointed!

Great evening, lovely food and good service. Very attentive waitress and enjoyable evening. Tucked away on a corner rather than by the window, which was a shame, having booked well in advance.

Thoroughly enjoyed lunch with my daughter and grandson. Cote is everything that a good restaurant should be - food, service - brilliant! I live down in Cornwall and don't get to go to Exeter too often. This is our second time at Cote, but it certainly won't be the last.

Unfortunately we did not. The noise level in the restaurant was unbearable. The table next to us was so loud we had to raise our voices to be heard. The waitress very kindly moved us for the dessert course to a table downstairs but we were directly under the air conditioning and got very cold. We consequently rushed our meal. It should have been a pleasant evening to say thank you to a very dear friend, it was ruined and based on this experience I shall not be returning.

I enjoyed my meal tremendously but my friend, a non-meat eater, found the fish portion small and without potatoes, so she said she was still hungry when she left.

Starter was lovely, the chicken Breton not so good, dauphinois potatoes delicious. My dessert arrived cold - crepes with banana. Staff were lovely. Would like to know your policy on allocating tables. When we arrived we wanted to sit by the window but it was a table for 4 and were told no. Within 10 minutes another couple arrived who had not booked and were allocated this table???

Really impressed with the food and value for money, however the mains came just before we finished the starter and had to rush to finish it, would’ve appreciated a gap. Other than that I couldn’t recommend it enough, listened to the request put on the booking and was very accommodating. Will be back.

My partner and I have come to expect a high standard from Côte Exeter and we were not disappointed.

We visit Exeter about once a month and frequently use other branches of Cote when visiting friends and family. I think we must have been spoiled over the years and have come to expect a consistently high level of service, unfortunately on this visit it was somewhat lacking. I'm not sure if it was staffing levels but my husband had to ask on three occasions to be attended too. However, on a brighter note the food was as expected and excellent.

The whole experience was fantastic. I booked way in advance to get a Valentine's Day Table, but a week before someone from the restaurant called up to let me know that they would be doing a set menu. It was great to be kept informed so we didn't turn up expecting something else! The food was amazing as usual and all the staff were really attentive and professional. It was quite noisy but that was just the buzz of the atmosphere, it didn't cause any issues at all. If you want a slightly quieter evening you can always ask to be seated downstairs where it is a bit more chilled.

We had an excellent experience. The food was delicious, perfect portion size and very tasty. The service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. I requested a window seat which we got.

Lovely meal, service spot on! The duck was gorgeous and my husband said the pork belly was delicious! Our waitress was lovely, attentive but not intrusive. Never had a bad evening here! Always a pleasure!

A lovely dining room with wonderful views of the Cathedral, and very welcoming staff. The menu was delightful, and we went for the April specials. We appreciated the very ready acceptance of my husband's dietary needs, and for the first time in our experience were handed a complete adjusted gluten-free menu. We spent a very pleasant couple of hours, and were not hurried. Altogether a most enjoyable meal which surpassed our expectations.

We will definitely come again! Had the most delightful lunch.

Lovely restaurant. First time in Exeter one. Food was good. There was no chocolate mousse for dessert which I really wanted as it's so delicious. Wine is expensive.

We are regulars at Cote in EXETER and it never lets us down. Super service and delightful atmosphere and great staff. Five stars all the way

Late lunch Saturday with friends , we took advantage of Rhubarb martini offer. Starters, mains and coffees. All superb meals, as usual. Everything was perfect. We had good service and a relaxed enjoyable time. Exeter Cote is our favourite local restaurant.

I enjoyed my main( steak) but my husband did not enjoy his bream. It was bland and could have done with sauce or flavouring of some sort.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Noise levels make it hard to hear some conversations but overall a great place. Food was exemplary and well worth a visit. Thank you.
