MY FRIEND AND I ENJOYED OUR VISIT VERY MUCH. THE MAIN COURSE AND SWEET WERE VERY TASTY. CRUMBLE COULD BE ADDED TO THE SWEET MENU. NOT INCLUDING THE LOYALY DRINK IN THE LUNCH MENU WAS A BIT CHURLISH HENCE ONE STAR MISSING

We booked online for our wedding anniversary and had a lovely lunch at the restaurant. The staff and food were excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal thank you.

After booking to take my mother for mother’s day lunch, we were very much looking forward to our experience. However, when we entered, we were waiting almost 10 minutes to be greated and then seated at our table. After this things did not get any better. We were almost forgotten about at our table as the service was very slow and our waitress almost seemed annoyed that we were there. The food was great as ever but unfortunately the service really let us down this visit. We do frequent cotes quite often and were excited to take our family but we were lady feeling disappointed. A real shame.

Gave us a special anniversary drink and pudding came with “Happy Anniversary” message dusted with cocoa powder. Perfect tasty meal with great service. Lively atmosphere, perhaps a little load, but nothing to complain about.

Great food and prices! Lovely view, friendly staff it was really busy so they couldn’t be as attentive as I’m sure they would have liked! I will definitely come again and recommend! The atmosphere was lovely

Very loud, slow and mussels weren't cooked properly. Rib eye tasted like a wetherspoons steak. Monkfish was overpowered by garlic. Not a good experience at all

We had the fish parmentier which we have had before but this time were disappointed. It was not as piping hot as usual and had too many prawns which were a little hard. If it had been our first visit to Cote, we wouldnt have come back but as this was the first time we were disappointed, we probably will return but wont have that dish again.

UUNice venue, food not so good. Why do they insist on opening the doors when they want you out despite just serving coffee

As always, excellent food and great service at very competitive prices. We are always pleased with the consistency of the services from Cote. We have visited Cote restaurants in various cities in England and have enjoyed the experience in every one of them.

Another amazing lunch 👍 at Cotê Exeter. We were greeted by several very friendly staff and the food was wonderful. Salmon rilette for starter and the most amazing seafood linguine for our main course. It was yummy 😋 👍 We’ll be back soon 🤗

Another delicious meal with refreshing rhubarb martinis to get us in the mood for seasonal specialities. The salmon, Cornish new potatoes and asparagus followed by a very creamy creme caramel were excellent. The generous glass of well-chilled champagne was a perfect complement to the food. We will return!

Chicken and walnut salad was very poor, only 2 walnuts and mostly leaves. Only lemonade was Schweppes, Table next to us went back the fish they had. Was busy today, shame really.

Lovely spot in Cathedral Close, especially when seated by the window. Only criticism, the noise level was only just tolerable so conversation at times was difficult

Lovely late breakfast in a gorgeous setting. Food is always delicious, service is always excellent and the atmosphere here is chilled & relaxed. I feel like I’ve had a treat when I dine here.

The atmosphere was good and the waiting staff lovely and made a special effort when they found out that someone on our table had a birthday. I think that more staff should be put on in busy periods as it took a while for our drinks order to be taken. Apart from that it was a lovely experience.

The food is always delicious and the staff are helpful and welcoming. Only criticism is some child portion size breakfasts should be available.

Food was great. I felt we were a bit squeezed in. And it was noisy.......but I still really enjoyed it. Will definitely go back. Steak wad great. Thanks

Great evening, lovely food and good service. Very attentive waitress and enjoyable evening. Tucked away on a corner rather than by the window, which was a shame, having booked well in advance.

We had a very good meal today topped off with a dessert featuring a birthday message for my husband. Our waitress was wonderful and we will certainly return very soon.

What a wonderful place, I just want to say an insane thank you to Dan and his team. Seriously made our night by helping me to celebrate my mums birthday. He was so understanding and kind about our situation. He is a true credit to your team. Thank you to everyone who was working on the night of our visit. You were all so lovely and kind. Visited at lunchtime. Good atmosphere and food. Very enjoyable. In the evenings when it is full I know the noise level can make it hard to talk.

Lovely setting, views and service but a little slow and main meals didn’t arrive at the same time plus forgotten item. Offer of free dessert was a nice touch. Perhaps the restaurant overall was very busy, just quiet on our floor.

The French Onion Soup was divine! Really lovely visit, thanks.

Sadly we were booked for an evening meal, but had to cancel because of our friends illness, so the two of us rebooked for lunch. As always, lovely food, great service and excellent value. The consistency of Cote is extraordinary. we have never been disappointed at any of the many Cote restaurants we have visited. Thank you.

Have celebrated our last three wedding anniversaries here and two or three birthdays. Excellent as always except no complimentary pre dinner prosecco this time. A nice touch but guess the accountants have been at work!!!

We had an excellent experience. The food was delicious, perfect portion size and very tasty. The service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. I requested a window seat which we got.

Lovely meal, service spot on! The duck was gorgeous and my husband said the pork belly was delicious! Our waitress was lovely, attentive but not intrusive. Never had a bad evening here! Always a pleasure!

Excellent bill of fare; good cheerful service, good gluten-free choice, very good wine cellar, the desserts fair but poor savoury selection, a bit cramped as the evening progressed. Would recommend to others and will return soon.

I enjoyed my main( steak) but my husband did not enjoy his bream. It was bland and could have done with sauce or flavouring of some sort.

Lovely service as usual from efficient, friendly staff. Food delicious and cooked to the usual high standard. Good atmosphere even though it was a quiet Sunday night.
