Friendly staff, good service. The food was very good, would be nice to have a children’s menu offered for appropriate portion control.

Good busy atmosphere. Friendly efficient staff. Good price. Hot drinks were by no means hot, more luke warm. Same goes for some of the breakfast. My daughter asked for no mushrooms but they arrived and the egg was on top, so she left the egg. Didn’t make a fuss as they were super busy but a bit of a shame. We were offered extra coffee but just as we had finished and paid, so a bit earlier would have been nice.

A great experience. Food was excellent, service was fantastic. The new team are doing a really top job, we’ll be back!

April's set menu is great & portions are very good value for money. Whiebait to start followed by the haddock. Beautifully cooked & served promptly with a smile. Busy lunchtime service with vibrant atmosphere. Very good indeed. Thank you.

The reason I’m a regular user of many of the Cote Restaurants is not only the excellent food but the staff. We always get served in a very professional way but what makes all the difference is the smiles that are an indication that they enjoy their work. Excellent staff friendly, efficient all with a smile.

Lovely Birthday lunch complimentary wine and Kia royals. Served by a delightful lady (the others were lovely too). Only complaint the restaurant was full of ladies who lunch with babies! But a minor issue I tried to ignore!!

Food was excellent, service very good. Only negative was the price of a small bottle of beer. £3.75 for what equates to half a pint. Draught beer should be available for your customers.

I had booked a table for my daughters birthday, unexpectedly on arrival there was a 'happy birthday' helium balloon on the table and at the end of the meal a delicious complimentary chocolate pudding came with a candle and she was sang happy birthday! We all really enjoyed the evening and as always you can count on Cote for great service and food! Thank you again all at Godalming Cote!

Delicious food and pretty quick service, even though restaurant was full for the two hours we had lunch. Inevitably noisy with lots of families for Mother's Day, but that didn't spoil excellent price for a two course lunch.

We had a really poor experience. Unfortunately the food wasn’t fresh and the quality we hoped it would be. We have recently moved to the local area and were hoping standards would be better.

We enjoyed a lovely relaxed breakfast at Godalming Cote, all beautifully cooked and presented. Attentive staff who looked after us very well -- swapped fried eggs for scrambled eggs for my son, made sure we were happy with our table etc. Recommended.

5 stars out of 6, only because things can always be improved, however, things are always so good, I'm not sure how/where. I've been to many Cotes around the UK and they've always been great. A restaurant that is part of a chain, but doesn't feel like one.

Greeted at door by lovely gentleman. Fast service to get a drink and food was scrumy, but they forgot to warm up the white chocolate sauce for the berry pudding (I don't know if this is a new thing but apparently it's usually warm - still delicious though) and the staff just seemed to wonder around. Overall very pleasant though and happily recommend it. Nothing to do with the restaurant but lots of young children making noise.

My daughter loved the experience but I did feel the service could of been better I felt it was quiet slow. Food was delicious and satisfying.

Lovely meal and good service Only criticism is the complimentary cocktails were charged on our bill! This has happened a couple of times at this restaurant and I am not sure why ? It was rectified but means I am now a bit suspicious of the reasoning for this happening to us more than three times

As usual, we 5 had an excellent 3 course meal for Mother’s Day. We weren’t intending to have a dessert but of course tempted when seeing the menu. My crepe with orange liqueur was to die for - the second time I’ve indulged! I think this is a March special but I think this simple dish should be a regular. Pamela

Our group of 8 had a lovely meal. Great menu options, delicious wine, at a reasonable price, and quick service which helped us get to the theatre on time. The food was hot and good quality. The only option not up to par was the mussels starter; possibly not the right time of year for juicy mussels.

Cote in Godalming is always excellent value. The staff are welcoming and look after you, the menu varied and very reasonable, and the setting and atmosphere is lovely (even though the older ones amongst us remember it as a doctor's surgery).

We love going to Cote, Godalming. The manager, Olga is efficient, caring & charming. If there is a problem she clearly cares about it & does her best to put it right.

An excellent meal - we have been to Cote in Godalming several times and have never been disappointed - the service is good, waiters and waitresses very friendly and helpful. The steaks are particularly good. Can be a bit noisy but that's just a sign of people enjoying themselves!

Usual xcellent service combined with nicely varied menu. Wine list offers good variety at reasonable prices. Nothing further to add so this is because the web site wanted more words. Mark Cote down @point for that.

A very nice meal. We took advantage of complimentary gin and tonics. They had an herbal base which we assumed we wouldn't like but they were delicious. Would definitely have them in the future. Also enjoyed the Crepe Suzette which we hadn't had before. Fun to have it flambéed at the table.

What great service! I booked a table that morning, had a confirmation email straight away. Holly served us, what a star! Very impressed with her, she overheard it was my birthday so she gave us a complimentary drink! Would certainly recommend it and will visit again!

There were only 2 people serving which meant we had to wait for ages before I asked for someone to come over. The steak was not cooked pink as described, so not a very enjoyable experience.

Good food but service let it down - we weren't asked if we wanted any sides and then had to order some to go with the veal dish, we had to remind waiter of an ordered drink, ask for a fresh glass and for milk for the tea.

Great restaurant with great staff and thought the gesture of a free glass of fizz for one of the party’s birthday was great. The food was lovely and overall a fantastic experience.Thank you to all!

On the plus side, our waiter was attentive, both he and he manager reacted to our complaints by cancelling the charge for some items. Sadly the sword fish dish was luke warm ,was smothered in a strong bean sauce and the side dish spinach was cold. Truly horrible. The house white wine was very poor, we did not finish the mains or the wine. The special dessert was soggy and overpowered with the cinnamon ice cream, my wife being unable to eat it- most unusual!

A lovely restaurant with great staff who did everything they could to ensure brunch for six was enjoyed. The preserves on the already crowded table which were for show only was mystifying. The plates, food and beverages should have been warmer.

Consistently good experience. Quality food, wine and service are always appreciated and the atmosphere is welcoming. With various table locations within the restaurant you can usually find a spot that works for your requirements on any particular day.

Fantastic service staff, so good at what they do. Great menu options, esp for our gluten-free guest. Delicious food. Lovely ambience. Really love that this is a chain but standards are so high. So impressive. Kids say: it was cool!
