Côte Godalming

Request for a quiet corner table was met. The service was excellent. The food was very good .we all had a very enjoyable meal.

We had a really poor experience. Unfortunately the food wasn’t fresh and the quality we hoped it would be. We have recently moved to the local area and were hoping standards would be better.

5 stars out of 6, only because things can always be improved, however, things are always so good, I'm not sure how/where. I've been to many Cotes around the UK and they've always been great. A restaurant that is part of a chain, but doesn't feel like one.

Very slow service. Food was tasty but cold. Some dishes inedible (creamed spinach)

Greeted at door by lovely gentleman. Fast service to get a drink and food was scrumy, but they forgot to warm up the white chocolate sauce for the berry pudding (I don't know if this is a new thing but apparently it's usually warm - still delicious though) and the staff just seemed to wonder around. Overall very pleasant though and happily recommend it. Nothing to do with the restaurant but lots of young children making noise.

a pleasant experience and the food was great. The service was quick and attentive. I can recommend the restaurant to others. We will come again soon.

My daughter loved the experience but I did feel the service could of been better I felt it was quiet slow. Food was delicious and satisfying.

Lovely meal and good service Only criticism is the complimentary cocktails were charged on our bill! This has happened a couple of times at this restaurant and I am not sure why ? It was rectified but means I am now a bit suspicious of the reasoning for this happening to us more than three times

Food excellent. White wine served warm! Asked for tap water for two but only given one glass! Overall okay.

Another very enjoyable meal this time breakfast. As a coeliac so wonderful to have a choice of a gluten free breakfast

Staff welcoming on arrival and attentive. Food delicious, three curse prestige menu very good value for money. Wine excellent, red at good temperature. Only downside, as it is in many restaurants was after dessert when suddenly all staff disappear and you have to wait for a long time in order to pay the bill.

A Sunday lunch made enjoyable by a welcoming team, clean and quiet surroundings, a nice menu and reasonable prices. All led to a lovely experience.

Good food and great starter and main in particular, but slightly disappointing desert. Service was good overall, but took an ahe to get the bill and we finally gave up and went to the front desk. Explained why we were there but no apology for poor service - could definitely do better.

Saturday early evening four of us had a very tasty meal, a free cocktail each (as I had an offer by email), main course & dessert well presented & tea/coffee, good attentive prompt service in a clean, unrushed relaxing atmosphere.

Fabulous breakfast outside in the peace and quiet on a Sunday morning. Food delicious and service excellent.

We have eaten here a number of times . The service is superb, the food well balanced and enough to satisfy. The quality of both second to none.

Overall a very pleasant experience allowing for the fact that it was a very busy Sunday. However, we ordered and shortly later our welcome drink (Kir Royal), the red wine we had ordered and our first course arrived all together. It would have been pleasant to have had a little time to enjoy our Kir. The main course was well presented but the duck breast was somewhat chewy. Otherwise the meal was very pleasant and we enjoyed ourselves.

Excellent food, excellent service. Polite staff. Will be eating at Cote regularly.

Cote is a short walk from Waitrose in Godalming we had a nice relaxing evening with a very reasonably priced menu. Staff very attentive and food good bistro type menu look online for the monthly offers which are very good value We will be back

Nice food, atmosphere pleasant, staff were friendly didn't feel rushed,felt relaxed. Nice meal with friends. Food selection was good.. I enjoyed my meal it was Nicely presented.

Brilliant service. A complimentary drink and flowers for my wife who was celebrating her 40th birthday was really cool and unexpected. Thank you for making it such are great night.

Always great & attentive service and a vast menu to choose from. Delicious, freshly prepared yummy food. The two courses for £11.50 is exceptional value. Will be back!

Good food but not happy at 12and half% service charge . Also not clear about cocktail offer , does it include specials menu, or must it be a la carte

Service was excellent, steak was pretty ordinary, with little flavour served with a very watery peppercorn sauce. Desserts were really good. Very noisy with lots of young children. Will probably not use again.

Very nice food and waitress very accommodating to adapt to changing number of guests and location of table. Very appetising food and good value if right selections made. Great for gluten free diets.

We go to lots of Cote branches and have been to Godalming on many occasions. Today was as excellent as usual, both food and service.

The Godalming branch of Cote is consistently good. We had brunch on this occasion and it’s the best value in our opinion with good food of a high quality. The young waiting staff are polite and attentive

We had a lovely Mother's day meal, the food was delicious and I would have no problem recommending Cote to anyone, would definitely come again, hopefully soon!

An excellent meal - we have been to Cote in Godalming several times and have never been disappointed - the service is good, waiters and waitresses very friendly and helpful. The steaks are particularly good. Can be a bit noisy but that's just a sign of people enjoying themselves!

Usual xcellent service combined with nicely varied menu. Wine list offers good variety at reasonable prices. Nothing further to add so this is because the web site wanted more words. Mark Cote down @point for that.

We enjoyed a lovely mother's Day breakfast at Coté in Godalming, the restaurant was reasonably busy but we weren't at any point left waiting too long. The staff were good enough to accommodate the younger people in the group with different menu options with absolutely no issues leaving at least one little girl very happy with her chocolate pancake! Probably one of the nicest mother's Day Breakfast's we've had and everyone was in agreement it would be somewhere to return to.

There were only 2 people serving which meant we had to wait for ages before I asked for someone to come over. The steak was not cooked pink as described, so not a very enjoyable experience.

We meet up with friends at this Cote because it has ample room, a varied menu and is good value. Unlike many chain restaurants the menu changes.

It was my 70 th,birthday celebration with the grandchildren. We all enjoyed ourselves. Thank you for the chocolate mouse cake and to the staff for singing.
