Our first meal out after lockdown and we were all (four of us) very happy with both food and service. One of our party required a gluten-free meal. This was very clearly and simply organised and our guest felt very reassured by the way it was presented. Well done to all.

We have always loved visiting Cote at various locations for many years and having not had a lunch at a restaurant for five months due to the current situation so we we're really looking forward to today's lunch. Well what can I say, the staff were excellent, we felt extremely safe in the surroundings and the food was perfect. We have been eating the Cote at home meals for a few months and they have helped us get 'our Cote fix' during lockdown but to be back in the restaurant eating the freshly cooked food just made our day. Thank you Cote, we're so glad you are back!

Cote in Godalming is always good. I only didn't have it as six stars as it has a slightly reduced menu, post lockdown.

Before the lockdown Côte Brasserie - Godalming was our firm favourite. We would go there a couple of times a month. This was our first time back after the lockdown. Frankly we were disappointed in food quality. Our calamari starter was mostly greasy thick batter. The main courses were smaller than before and simply not as good. The desert was pretty good. Hope they will manage to get it together. We are in no hurry to go back.

My sons steak frites came out raw, we sent it back and it then came out very chewy. Not the best experience!

A lovely first time out for a meal, since March. Really friendly atmosphere and attentive staff. Felt very safe, will rebook soon. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Excellent food and service for the first half. Once we had finished our main course it took a long time clear the plates. We were then given dessert menus, and waited 30minutes. As noone came to take our order, despite trying to get the attention of the 3 waiters at the bar, we left and paid at the bar. Good start followed by a disappointing end to our meal.

Occasionally everything about a meal is perfect. This was one of those occasions.

Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. It was nice to be out eating again.

Great Service, professional interaction to guests, each time the course was served the satisfaction was checked. We have had a starter to share follow by stake and fish pie. Selection of cheese platter a bit poor. I personally think cheese could be better with crackers. Place very clean.

Excellent. Had to cancel my birthday lunch at Cote on The Bridge Eton a week ago. Record temperature & to hot a day for oldies Decided to have a visit to Godalming this morning finishing up with my belated birthday meal Staff did well under the new dining rules. Catering never easy without the palava they are lumbered with now Well done Thanks

I was delighted to be back. Sat outside and felt I was on holiday. Waiters very helpful. Food was inconsistent which I’ve never experienced before( had to send cold food back) but it was the first day so we discounted it. Will be back soon.

Fantastic that you are back. Service was faultless and the food fabulous. We felt very safe with plenty of space. Looking forward to breakfast returning we are missing your black pudding!

A very nice meal. We took advantage of complimentary gin and tonics. They had an herbal base which we assumed we wouldn't like but they were delicious. Would definitely have them in the future. Also enjoyed the Crepe Suzette which we hadn't had before. Fun to have it flambéed at the table.

On the plus side, our waiter was attentive, both he and he manager reacted to our complaints by cancelling the charge for some items. Sadly the sword fish dish was luke warm ,was smothered in a strong bean sauce and the side dish spinach was cold. Truly horrible. The house white wine was very poor, we did not finish the mains or the wine. The special dessert was soggy and overpowered with the cinnamon ice cream, my wife being unable to eat it- most unusual!

Excellent friendly service and beautifully cooked food. Slight muddle over the bill - we asked for four separate bills as two people had drinks and sides but had four identical bills. This was quickly resolved. Look forward to returning when it's warm enough to sit outside.

Fabulous meal and great staff , my steak was cooked to perfection ! I would highly recommend this restaurant in Godalming. The staff were really attentive,all round great value

Excellent as always. Cote Godalming is a fantastic restaurant to go to. The food is beautifully cooked & presented. The staff are of a high standard. I wish other restaurant chains would take a lesson from Cote. We go there regularly & are never disappointed. It helps that the manager sets & maintains such high standards.

Service superb. Food outstanding. Attractive Décor. Only negative -the April Welcome Cocktail had far too much sugar syrup. The sweetness completely overpowered the gin flavour and the zestiness of the lemon.

Well cooked and flavoured. Plates were hot, as was food. Serbice efficient, and friendly. As a chain restaurant should be, but most fail.

Delicious food, friendly staff and they made a great effort to make my daughter's birthday special. A lovely evening we will certainly be back there soon. THANK YOU

Although the food itself was delicious ! It was odd the my main meal came out complete but my partners didn’t, by the time his meal was fully delivered to the table his steak and sauce was cold, so had to be reheated , this took a bit of time, so I waited as didn’t want to eat my meal with out him eating his, so when his came out reheated mine was nearly cold, but I ate it as didn’t want to make a fuss, they did take 2 drinks off the menu. , which was. Kind of them. Our only complaint was in future, Maybe keep all food hot before delivering complete meals to table, we will return as still very good food and service x

Fairly quiet on a Monday lunchtime. Quick and cheerful service. Food pretty good and reasonably but not cheaply priced. We will go again. And two more words to make 25

What great service! I booked a table that morning, had a confirmation email straight away. Holly served us, what a star! Very impressed with her, she overheard it was my birthday so she gave us a complimentary drink! Would certainly recommend it and will visit again!

We booked online last minute and were warmly welcomed in to the restaurant. Service was extremely friendly and pleasant without being over powering. We enjoyed the two course special which was well paced and my steak (with £supliment) was superb. Thanks we had a great evening! My only observation would be that wine by the glass is a little expensive at over £8.5 for 250mls. Maybe a carafe would help us eek it out or perhaps offer some cheaper options?

A lovely restaurant with great staff who did everything they could to ensure brunch for six was enjoyed. The preserves on the already crowded table which were for show only was mystifying. The plates, food and beverages should have been warmer.
