Côte Godalming

We enjoyed a lovely mother's Day breakfast at Coté in Godalming, the restaurant was reasonably busy but we weren't at any point left waiting too long. The staff were good enough to accommodate the younger people in the group with different menu options with absolutely no issues leaving at least one little girl very happy with her chocolate pancake! Probably one of the nicest mother's Day Breakfast's we've had and everyone was in agreement it would be somewhere to return to.

Went to Côte for the first time , it was really lovely , will make this a regular place for me to eat now. Great welcome when we arrived for mother’s day , not noisy , food wine service was all great.would highly recommend this restaurant, it’s in great location , I had a very lovely experience Thankyou everyone.

Friendly staff, good service. The food was very good, would be nice to have a children’s menu offered for appropriate portion control.

A very enjoyable lunch sitting outside in the sunshine.The food was delicious. The free Negroni was a lovely bonus.

This was a special occasion, when we booked the table we were asked if we had any special requests? I mentioned the fact that it was a birthday. On arrival we were greeted by a some what dressed down maitre d'. We mentioned we had booked and after a quick scan of the restaurant noticed it was approx. 20% full, she asked us where we wanted to sit? I was hoping she would escort us to a suitable/special table. We suggested a corner table. She declined mentioning that the table was prepared for 5 and we were only a 4. Eventually she took us to a table and left us to remove coats etc and left the menus in a pile on the table. The waitress was polite and pleasant and tried to be professional, however when the meals arrived from the kitchen she wasn't sure which steak was which.... The food tasted delicious ,just not enough. Steak comes with a small serving on water cress and French fries. Just after 9 now and the restaurant had emptied and we got the distinct impression we had to leave. We took the hint paid the bill with the 12% service charge included. Tips shouldn't be compulsory and not put on the end of the bill. We left still feeling hungry and a little disappointed.

Our first visit to Côte Godalming certainly won't be our last. Cannot fault them. They even rang us back after realising they had over charged us by 22p! Recommend them.

Being father's day it was very full, but the staff managed well, and any small problems rapidly resolved.

We popped in for an early evening meal. A warm greeting and our choice of tables - we picked one at the rear of the restaurant. We both chose from the of the Early Evening Menu - a bargain! A starter of ratatouille with goats cheese - very tasty, followed by sea bream with fennel and orange salad - a delicious fresh dish. A glass of wine and coffees completed the meal - all for less than £40 for the two of us.

Always great & attentive service and a vast menu to choose from. Delicious, freshly prepared yummy food. The two courses for £11.50 is exceptional value. Will be back!

We booked online last minute and were warmly welcomed in to the restaurant. Service was extremely friendly and pleasant without being over powering. We enjoyed the two course special which was well paced and my steak (with £supliment) was superb. Thanks we had a great evening! My only observation would be that wine by the glass is a little expensive at over £8.5 for 250mls. Maybe a carafe would help us eek it out or perhaps offer some cheaper options?

Our group of 8 had a lovely meal. Great menu options, delicious wine, at a reasonable price, and quick service which helped us get to the theatre on time. The food was hot and good quality. The only option not up to par was the mussels starter; possibly not the right time of year for juicy mussels.

Lovely meal and surroundings. Excellent service and presentation,thoroughly recommend a try, will definitely visit again when in the area. Hope the standard remains the same, will bring guests next time

Everything was good exceot the moulesfrite that were disappointing as they were tasteless and small and many empty but they did give us a refund and the service was dood.

You honoured my complimentary bottle of wine from months ago when I cancelled with no proof required, you just trusted me. For that you will make more money from me in future than that bottle was worth. Great stuff and the food was delicious. Well done Godalming!

Excellent service, friendly and efficient. Food well presented, and good range of options. Steaks have been excellent, just right and of high quality. Specials always interesting and worth considering. Good use of seating, pleasant and homely. Makes a change from previously visiting when it was a doctor's surgery!

Lovely staff, great food and wine choices. Never felt like anything was too much trouble and not rushed at all. In all the perfect choice for a laid back b/day lunch.

A good choice of meals. Meals where good although it took a little time to be servred, this was strange as hardly anyone in resturant. Servre was good and polite and attentive.

A lovely meal as always. Green salad had way too much dressing but they bought. 2nd with less and took it off the bill so cannot fault!

We dined on the 28 feb at 6.15 having booked ahead. We were offered several different tables eventually settling for one in the rear section. we ordered 3 blood orange martinis which were very good and we noticed many other diners enjoying on other tables. The order was taken promptly but without any undue haste and arrived exactly as ordered. All were enjoyed although one steak was more rare than medium rare especially in the thicker central part. We could only manage one apple crumble but id can with enough ice cream to keep it moist - very good. Safe to say we will be returning.

We couldn’t of faulted it, the food the service. I am lactose intolerant and the manager couldn’t of helped me anymore then he did! Plus they serviced pop for mums birthday!

Lovely venue, very attentive and pleasant staff. Food always great value. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The only slight downer being that we were given the wrong steaks. No problem my wife and I just swapped. Unfortunately the same happened a few weeks ago in Guildford.

Lovely “brunch” enjoyed by myself, my daughter and two grandchildren - when I saw the amount of food I thought we are never going to eat all this but it was so delicious we ate the lot! The service and ambience was great - we look forward to our next visit!

Very good lunch today, super service. Food could have been a little warmer, but I could have sent it back and didn’t, so not a big problem. I would happily recommend to friends, and also plan to return.

We had a great lunch at Cote's. The wait staff were friendly and the food was excellent. The atmosphere was not overly noisy so we had a great chatty catch up lunch.

We always have a good meal at Cote in Godalming, this was no exception, particularly since it was a while since we had been. A nice treat.
