The 3 of us had a lovely meal. The waiter was excellent and the standard of our food was as excellent as ever. I had the duck as a main meal which was perfectly cooked. My 2 friends had 3 courses of the Prestige menu. Great value.

As always, food was excellent. However my elderly disabled friend wanted two starters, instead of a starter and main course, from the set menu. The waiter treated her as if she was asking for something extraordinary, turned it into a problem and said that he would need to ask the chef. It would have been kinder, and more pleasant for my friend, if he had accepted her order and then returned if the chef disagreed to explain that it wasn't possible. Surely, this isn't such an extraordinary event? It cast a pall on what should have been a treat.

Food and service was good. The Menu though does need a revamp because if you dine there quite regularly you know what there is to eat before you get there. Manager and Staff dealt with a troubled customer very well. The woman started complaining as soon as she entered the restaurant. I would say that she was deranged or a very good con-woman. The manager and Staff kept the woman calm more or less until she left so there was no disturbance to other customers. They did well.

Great staff. Food was slightly delayed and, as a result, we were given complimentary drinks even though we did not complain. Fish cake a little under seasoned and the poached egg had a solid yolk but all other food very good.

The staff was simply amazing! Friendly, attentive, efficient. The food is simple and well executed, as all good French food has to be.

Service very slow and inefficient. We were sitting for nearly 15 minutes before someone came to take our drinks order. Food delivery time was normal, but our plates weren’t cleared for ages. Took forever to get our bill and then more time waiting to pay. Food was fine, but clearly not enough staff.

Over cooked salmon, undercooked swordfish and a very slow service. Would not go back I’m afraid.

Always a fabulous experience as the manager and staff are so wonderful and always look after us well. Islington Cote is our local and we go quite often for the food and the service. PS : Only put 3 stars for food and value for money as we had lobster ( starter / main course ) and I thought it was very little to eat for the price, I will not choose it again as the rest of the menu is yummy !

I love dining here. Great service and great food. I like the changing seasonal menus too. Never had a disappointing experience and it’s great value for money.

As always far too salty even though I asked for no salt! If this isn’t addressed soon I shall stop going to this fabulous restaurant.

Fabulous staff. Courteous kind. The manager is so hands on and delightful. This is a truly amazing place and consistent as have gone here for years and the extremely high level of excellence in food and service is amazing

The service was abysmal; waited over an hour for main courses which were inedible. My fish parmentier took over an hour to arrive and was cold - couldn’t eat it so I left. My sons medium ribeye was rare and he couldn’t eat that. The whole experience was so bad.

I never visit Côte and don’t walk away smiling. Tonight the service was impeccable. The head waiter remembered me from last time. I went in specifically for the lobster and they were very apologetic that there were none left. Food was served promptly and at the perfect temperature. Pot of tea was of the usual generous size for one. Please keep it up!
