Côte Lewes

Lovely place to enjoy a great breakfast with friends. I booked for party of 14 and pre ordered the food. It was served hot, tasted delicious and was enjoyed by everyone. Great friendly staff. I would highly recommend Cote Brasserie in Lewes :)

A lovely way to spend a Tuesday lunchtime in January

My wife and I have eaten at Cotes in Lewes a number of times now since it's launch and it has delivered excellent food and professional service on every occasion. It is our go-to place in the evening after meetings and does not disappoint.

Amazing food, had the beef bourguignon and creme brûlée and the food was delicious, melted in your mouth, so tasty. I wanted to savour every mouthful. I’ve had many a beef bourguignon and creme brûlée in my time and these were up there with the best. Even the recommended wine and flat white were spot on. Service was attentive without being intrusive. Friendly and the restaurant was cosy. Can’t wait to come babe :)

Nice ambience, friendly staff, well presented food and generous portions. Good value overall. Two criticisms: the restaurant was busy when we arrived and the food was a bit slow to arrive; and for my taste the food was too salty, especially things like sausages. Admittedly I have reduced the amount of salt I cook with at home but I guess this is true of many people these days.

We were welcomed and seated. Menus appeared fairly quickly though we waited half an hour for the food to come to the table. It eventually arrived. It was very good. The chicken was well done and the potato au gratin was very good. There was a pleasant atmosphere and they did apologise for the late arrival of the meal. Even though it was well past 12 noon we did wonder why they were still accepting orders for breakfast .

Great main course but starter not as advertised and not good. Pissaladiere was not roast veggies but boiled, tasteless, butternut squash and slightly roasted peppers. My partner's main and starter were great, apparently. (Calamari and pork belly)

Perfect. Not a busy day there but still had the Cote vibe. A lovely warm welcome and great service from start to finish. The food was superb too. I had a sublime plate of lamb chops which were a January Special but I hope you keep them on the Menus for our next visit. We use the Cote Lewes for meeting up with a friend who lives in Worthing; so we are now planning for our next get together, probably in March. Big thank you to all the staff especially the kitchen staff who put such great food on our plates.

Cote in Lewes is by far the best restaurant in the chain I have visited with a large group of people.

We lunch at Cote restaurants regularly. This was our first lunch in Lewes Cote which was most enjoyable. Relaxed atmosphere with good food and service.

Delicious food and lovely atmosphere. At the end of our meal the restaurant had emptied and the waiting staff seemed to also disappear but otherwise great service.

Great buzz, food and service as ever. Where we were sitting I found the tables a little too close together for access but generally the layout adds to the Brasserie feel so well done again Côte!

We have eaten at Cote Lewes many times but were a bit disappointed with the main course this time. The service was very slow and the bill didn't take into account the fact that we had booked under a special offer so had be returned to the waitress. It was only partly changed and had to be referred back again.

Great January deal and very happy with meal. I find the à la carte menu is overpriced for the food quality without an offer incentive.

The visit would have earned 6 stars, its a shame we were overcharged by more than £10

A perfect evening with the hubby, lovely food ...roasted cod was delicious, shared the creme brûlée ...yum yum. With the January deal of a bottle of wine ...it was wonderful.

Nice meal for 4 today at Cote Lewes with free cocktail thanks to online offer. Food was nice, only minor gripe is that the chateaubriand was pretty small for a sharer but it was really nice though.

We had a really nice meal at lunch time today. I would have given five stars but we had to wait over 45 minutes before being served our main course which seemed rather too long. The waitress was friendly and efficient and the food was lovely,

Great food, service and ambience. We booked for 6pm and it was buzzy and busy by 6.30.

As always, the food, wine & service were excellent in my local Lewes Cote.

Helpings tend to the parsimonious, particularly the sides. French fries should run to more than a small handful stuffed in a large eggcup, likewise green beans. Bead and olives weren't remarkable in terms of variety or abundance. Otherwise, as always, the service was impeccable, the ambience very pleasant (temperature, good lighting, music-free) the wine-list very adequate and the food-choices strike a reassuring balance between variety and profusion, always achieving a certain standard of quality.
