Fantastic food that tastes delicious. The service is friendly, kind and welcoming. The staff have a way of making you feel at home. The price of the food is perfect for what you get. I/we would definitely recommend this place.

Great service, the young lady at our table could not have been more friendly, considerate, accommodating and professional. The quality of the food was as faultless as ever. The February specials were superb.

I really enjoyed it all. The service was great and the food was excellent. We also manged to book with an offer and so had a free cocktail.

Very good food cooked as requested. Waiter very good. It was good to know waiter knew how to serve brandy nicely warmed.

Reasonable - but soup was cold and I had to ask for it to be reheated by which time my friend had finished her starter. Bill was incorrect despite us saying we had a voucher. After discussing this with the staff it was corrected, but we were almost late for the film we had booked to see.

On a very busy Wednesday evening the staff at Lewes Cote were their usual warm, friendly and efficient selves. The food as usual was exceptional.

Every course for each of our party of 13 was excellently prepared and presented with fantastic flavours. The manager and staff looked after us royally. All went to plan with seating and timing. An evening we will not forget.We will certainly be back

An enjoyable, relaxed meal with good wine. A pity Cote doesn't accept cheques so we had to pay by card.

Our second lunch in Lewes and as pleasurable as the first. We shall be going back.

Wonderful welcome on arrival, excellent wine and fabulous food . One of my favourite restaurants. The food is always served hot and the wine chilled - also the best cocktails!! What else do you need on a night out . Well done my friend Cotes Lewes , can’t wait to return. Sylvia Hunt X

Service excellent as was the food. However we had booked hoping to get your January offer but it wasn’t available and therefore think the marketing of the offer and booking process VERY misleading.

Brilliant service up until our server went on her break, service was still fine afterwards. Food was excellent especially the January specials, Guinea Hen and Cod, first time I had crab in Cote, delicious and generous portion

I visit Cote in Lewes a lot usually with a crowd of friends. Thset have a great team if staff who always make you welcome and go out of their way to make an evening special. The food is great too and so reasonable. Highly recommend

A table of 10 - five couples. All was excellent, but it was very busy and so very noisy. We will however, repeat the experience on a quieter evening.

Really enjoy Cote. It is a family favourite and my son, who can be a fussy eater clears his plate. I think he actually enjoys trying new foods and feels Cote is the place to try.

I like Côte in Lewes. The staff are lovely and the building is fantastic. The food on the other hand has been getting steadily worse since they opened. I visited last night and had steak. Not a difficult meal to cook but it was burnt and chewy. I really would expect it to be better than it is particularly as it’s quite expensive. Unfortunately I think this restaurant is all style over content. What a shame.

We tried to arrange, over the phone, to sit in either of the seats (24 or 25) by the servery, for 20:15hrs, but the instruction taken down were incorrect and were therefore unavailable. We were offered the choice of a couple of extremey small round tables, eventually we were offered an acceptable table. The sauce of the Moules Mariniere was virtually all creme and not at all enjoyable, though the mussels themselves were cooked to perfection, as was the rest of our meal.

Really lovely lunch today, excellent service and yummy food. We were made to feel very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed it all. We will be back!

We enjoyed the January specials menu, I particularly liked to goat's cheese tart. We used a voucher given to us as a recompense for a disappointing experience on our last visit and we were very pleased that this meal was a return to previous good form. Our only remaining criticism is the noise level in the restaurant, it is very loud which is to do with the design of the room and I realise that the staff can do little about this, but at a higher level if someone could look at improving it I would be grateful.

The service was excellent - the staff went above and beyond for our special occasion.
