Food and service was really good nice evening meal out

As always the food and service was excellent. Perhaps waited a little longer for our main course than usual but it was Saturday lunchtime.

Always treated as a welcome quest on arrival. Good service , food delicious , favourite pudding of profiteroles as a March special. What more could we ask for.

Excellent in all respects. Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner - have dined on a number of occasions since it opened and no complaints whatsoever. Well done and keep up the high quality of service.

As always a special experience today at lunch time also the special request was accepted without question...

Very enjoyable lunch. Excellent service from a very pleasant, professional and attentive waitress. The speed of service was also excellent. The food was good and the portion sizes about right. Eating from the set price menu meant that the value for money was good although it is easy for added extras to start pushing the price up. Overall a very good visit and I will recommend Cote to others.

I've had good meals here before, but this wasn't so great. It took 30 mins to get our drinks and service was really slow. The staff were very friendly and kind but it killed the atmosphere for us. My veggie main (the sausages and potato) was really quite poor as well. It looked like a school dinner and was dry potatoes with dry/bland veggie sausage. I have to say I was quite let down and expected better.

Food excellent, staff friendly and efficient. It was just a shame that a man had to be checking chairs for maintenance going backwards and forwards whilst diners were eating.

Overall, it was a delightful experience! Not only were the staff incredibly kind and helpful, but the service offered was first-class, too. As we were celebrating two birthdays, the persons concerned received a complementary glass of bubbly, setting the tone for the whole evening. The food was delicious and the menu offered a great selection. All in all, I could not have wished for a more positive experience and will definitely make dinner there a regular event!

Celebrated my birthday there , The atmosphere is always good and the staff very polite and pleasant. Smoked salmon was beautiful and the steaks we had tender and delicious , will definitely eat there again .

Having dined at cote recently, our experience today was the best yet, great food and service.

Good food and good service at a reasonable price. Also, I have coeliac disease, but there were plenty of gluten-free options, all clearly marked.

Yet another delicious meal this time with the free bottle of wine offer from viva Lewes

Portions of sides could have been larger. Otherwise a most pleasant and successful dinner.

The starters came out before our drinks, all seemed slightly rushed to get us in / out - couldn’t fault the food but just a bit more of a service would have been nice for a Saturday evening meal. We were sat in a side room away from the main restaurant which I also feel affected the atmosphere of the evening.

First time to Lewes, all went very well I booked for 7 but one of our party had to drop out because of illness

We really enjoyed our lunch. I am wondering if you could stock alcohol free wine? I recently went on the Seven Seas Splendour, one of the most expensive ships in the world, they offered me wines and champagnes with the FRE label. They were absolutely brilliant, it is a brand worth exploring for top notch taste & quality. I suffer dreadful migraines but others not wanting to drink alcohol at lunch time would be able to enjoy a glass with their meal.

We eat here often but on this occasion the staff exceeded expectation. I'd booked the wrong date but this was perfectly accommodated by the warm and welcoming staff. Unpretentious, excellent service and fabulous food akin to dining in a classic French restaurant. Beautifully excecuted classic dishes which is why we choose this above some Mechlin. Substance without vulgarity. Supurb and a big thank you to the staff and chef
