Lovely evening. Cote didn't disappoint even on a busy Friday evening the food was excellent and service very good. Thanks for my warm bread on the charcuterie plate which addresses my only previous moan from an earlier visit. Made for a memorable family meal Thank-you.

Having been a regular visitor from its opening the past 6 months has seen a decline in customer service. I would describe it as lack of interest. The food is good most of the time which is essential and what set the bar wjmhen it opened was brilliant customer service. That has changed. Yes they are always pleasant but the team spirit evident at the outset is missing. From being comfortable with the 12.5% that is added to the bill we are less inclined to give such a tip when service is at its current level. It won’t stop us going just leaves us a little disappointed.

A wonderful , relaxed spotlessly clean place to Dine. As soon as you enter you are welcomed with a warm smile . Myself and partner have dined here many times and have never been disappointed with the quality of the food served , always hot and tasty .

We had the three course set menu. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. A food selection of wine. A very enjoyable evening!

The food was good but the service was a bit slow as we were going to see a show and had allowed 1.3/4 hours to eat. We had hoped to get three courses but ended up only with only two despite telling several members of the staff of our time restriction. To be fair to the staff they did eventually react to our requests and bring my mother in-laws main just as we were finishing our starters as we asked and supplying her pudding as we were eating our main course. However it took a long time for things to happen and we were unhappy not to get any puddings for the rest of us. One thing that I am really unhappy about is being double charged for pudding that my mother -in-law got after being charged for it on her M/D choice. A refund would be appreciated.

A great addition to the Lewes restaurant options, good food, good service, reasonably priced. I've been a few times and would definitely return and recommend to others.

No sea bass No lamb rump or Rump of lamb (there is a difference apparently!)at 8 in the evening. Nice building and nice atmosphere in the restaurant

As always the food was excellent. My son had the rib eye steak, my husband the chicken and frites and I had risotto. All good. Similarly for dessert, the chocolate mousse, ice cream and chocolate fondant all went down well. Our waitress was very pleasant and the kir royales, which were free as it was my birthday, were well received by all.

Very friendly staff and didn't feel rushed the food was delicious. Couldn't fault anything it was an amazing experience. It was my daughters first visit but she will be back. Many thanks

We really enjoyed our brunch on Sunday. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was of a high standard. Loving the Lewes Cote, it has a cosy feel and isn’t too loud.

Great service, food and atmosphere. Waiting staff in this particular branch have always been and continue to give such a welcoming, friendly and always so happy to help service.

Cote was as ever very pleasant and in Lewes the only quality restaurant available. It will always be a first choice in the town. We will come again.

The food was amazing, I had the duck breast which was very tasty and the perfect size. The service was very quick and the staff are lovely.

We had a lovely meal to celebrate our anniversary . The food and service were great . The restaurant was very busy for a Thursday, but the service was excellent , weirdly I have been to Côte when the restaurant has been quiet and and the service has been very slow , no complaints about last night though !

Service good. Although we did eat lunch early at 12:00 Sadly I found that the salad had not been washed and I found a baby slug on my rocket and black gritty bits on my little gem lettuce. The comment I got was that the chef didn’t know what it was and that all salads are washed. If it had been washed I would not have found any foreign bodies on it!! I find this rather concerning and most disappointing Fiona Kay

Always a great experience, friendly, professional staff, great food, lovely atmosphere even when busy and bustling on a Saturday evening. A good choice of menus and monthly specials , it all means that we go back quite frequently !

We had a lovely time at Cote last evening. The menu was interesting enough, the food was well prepared and delicious, and the waiters were friendly and efficient. The prices were very fair, and we even scored a free bottle of wine by showing our copy of Viva Lewes.

Overall the meal was ok, portions are a little on the small side when compared to the competition and the dessert was served in a very slap dash manor and luke warm because the staff were concentrating on a large party on another table. So I am afraid there are better venues to eat in Lewes and we are unlikely to return to Cote.

This Restaurant is my partner and self our favourite . From the time you enter you are made welcome . The food is served fresh , delicious and and hot . The sweets are a must have ! Please try the cocktails Whow !! . Can’t wait to return . ❤️

Lovely evening with friendly helpful staff. Delicious red wine and good food. Muscles and French onion soup for starters. Cod goujons and chicken with a creamy mushroom sauce. Restaurant just minutes from our hotel. Although it was busy (Valentines weekend) we didn't feel rushed.

After our visit we can only give cote ten out of ten for food and service ,that's why when we decide to dine out on our own or with friends we only choose cote restaurants.

Welcoming and friendly, great service from a nice team. Even thought it was busy on arrival we were not left to wait. Drinks and food were great and the bill not to large.

Wonderful birthday lunch, the staff were so friendly and understanding of our crowd of ten year olds. Lovely atmosphere and food and drink were great too. Highly recommended.

The service was ok but nothing out of the ordinary. Although it wasn't busy at the time we had lunch the waiter wasn't very attentive and didn't make suggestions or went the extra mile to make us feel special or create a memorable experience for us. The food was good but not sure I would come back to this Cote branch when I'm back in Lewis.

My husbands first visit but I visited a Cote restaurant last Friday in Sloane Square and was impressed. Lewes Cote was did not disappoint. I hope Cote will open a restaurant in Eastbourne where I live?

Booked a table for lunch for 2. Warmly welcomed on arrival and quickly presented with menus. My wife went for the Salmon with ratatouille which she said was delicious, I had the Rib Eye steak with fries, cooked to perfection, really tasty and tender. We both had the must have pudding of Creme Caramel, again really delicious, silky smooth with good vanilla and burnt sugar flavour. All washed down with a bottle of Viognier. Ended with 2 flat white coffees. The whole experience was first class. Great food, great service and a relaxing ambience.

Nice relaxed dining with polite attentive staff and good food. A nice range of Gluten Free Options on the menu as well. Overall an excellent experience will certainly return and recommend.

As a regular visitor to Cote this was the worst experience we've had. 45 minute wait for our starters, as always had to remind the team that we’d booked online and should be receiving the complementary drinks. Starters were very poor, including one being wrong so most had finished by the time the correct starter arrived for one of our party. Main course was also poor, 3 of the fries were cold and had to be replaced. 3 steaks all well done, not what was ordered. We did receive a bottle of wine free, however we didn’t go to Cote for a free bottle of wine we went for good food and good service. We paid £295 for poor service and poor food

We have eaten at various locations in this chain of restaurants around East Sussex, Kent and further afield. It is always consistently good. This was a relatively new restaurant, the ambience was perfect, service very good and always with a smile. To start we just had olives, bread ( very good) and the anchovies on crispy pastry.(excellent) My steak was cooked to perfection,ultra thin,but still pink and very tender. Just how I like it. The rest of our family group all enjoyed their meal. Well done Cote, we will be coming back!
