Perfect valentines meal. We had the wine pairing menu. Good menu choice and great wine. Service good and lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be back soon.

Mothers realise it was Mothers day but enjoyed the menu and kir royale.Duck was mouthwatering. Atmosphere is good and staff delightful. Busy, so my deafness was a bit of a problem.

We have eaten at Cote in Lewes on a number of occasions and really like it. Lunch is great with well proportioned dishes from the fixed price menu. And Dinner is also great from the extensive alla carte menue. This said and on our recent visit we were slightly disappointed, not with the food but smoreso with the service. It was a busy night and perhaps staff were a little overwhelmed but regardless we really enjoyed our visit to Cote in Lewes!

Helpful staff when we had guests who needed specific allergy advice. The staff sat with them and went through the me options. They were very attentive to our needs. Thank you.

Excellent service and the food is reasonably priced. I would recommend the restaurant to anyone who likes French Cuisine, my Moules Marinieres was excellent. The Fish Parmentier was a bit disappointing it was a rather small portion and it needed another side dish to make it work but it was very tasty. I had the Praline Crepe for desert and it was heaven. The overall experience was very good and I would definitely go back.

Very nice atmosphere - so good not having background music or poor acoustics. Having not visited a Cote Brasserie before we were impressed by the decor (especially having known the Lewes Lloyds Bank building well in it's former life!) Food was all high quality and delicious - and the prices were reasonable. Had to laugh when the waitress constantly called me "lady" rather than madam or similar, but will forgive her as her English was certainly a lot better than my French!

We had a lovely evening in Cote Lewes, as we always do. Superb service topped only on the quality of food. We are already looking to our next visit. Thank you!

Booked online which was easy and fast. Asked for room for buggy and was given our own separate area which was perfect for what we needed. Service was excellent and food was great. Overall a lovely experience.

There are cooks, and there are cooks. I pride my self on having some idea what the difference might be between one and the other. Ok, my dinner arrived cold the first time, but some times people can try a little too hard. All I can say is keep trying, this might not be the place to obviously show case your talents, but you will get there in the end.

From start to finish we had a delightful evening. Delicious food, beautifully presented, first class service and attention to detail. You truly have got the recipe right in this restaurant and fantastic value for money. Thank you all

The food was excellent as was the service, Lewes is far the best of the Cote Restaurants we have visited in 5 different towns. The service s always good in all of the restaurants but the food is always faultless at Lewes. The only drawback is finding a parking place, you just have to persevere.

Fantastic evening as a birthday dinner. The staff made it very special and were generous and thoughtful in many ways. Delicious food, especially the fish and bread. We do not live locally and have been to several Cotes in other places, and the Lewes branch was definitely one of the best. Thank you for giving us such a lovely time.

A very enjoyable lunch experience. The food was delightful and very authentic - we could have been in France! The staff were delightful and very helpful throughout our stay.

The evening was a disappointment. Ordered Wine forgotten, finger bowl and extra plate with mussels forgotten. Breton chicken dry .. Three other meals ok. Atmosphere poor. Staff were ok but there was something lacking..

Good service, excellent food and a relaxed atmosphere. The waitress was conscious of our timing and never tried to rush anything. The sauvignon blanc wine was outstanding.

Lovely food as always but the thing rhat sets Cota apart is the service, all the staff were excellent. They even gave my husband free coffee because it was his birthday. Well done Cote!

Such a wonderful evening celebrating my mums birthday. We firstly got served with surprise bubbly which was wonderful, later my grandparents joined and they were treated to a lovely glass too. Throughout the night the service was spot on with our sweet waitress Jessica, she made us feel welcome, Had a laugh with my grandad who just loves to make jokes and was always attentive to our table. not the mention the food was AMAZING. We had the set menu which was fantastic value, the pork loin was probably some of the best pork I’ve ever tasted, it was all really tasty and well presented. It then ended with a lovely caramel dessert that they put a candle in and sung happy birthday to my mum, she was so happy by the end of the night and that with everything else made me very happy, so thank you so much guys for making my mums birthday! Compliments to the chef for the amazing food and thanks again Jessica for being amazing!!!

The food wine cocktail and service was exceptional on our wedding anniversary. We look forward to coming again. Wonderful weather in Lewes made our day.

1st time at Lewes Cote. Nice room and friendly and attentive staff. Our table of 4 order came out wrong, one dish was wrong, so all the food went back to the kitchen which I assume meant 3 meals sat waiting for the 4th to be cooked. Why do waiters think it is a skill not to write down an order?? Still enjoyed the evening, some what spoiled by the automatic 12.5% gratuity on the bill. I asked for this to be removed, which the waitress had to go away to do, a bit embarrassing. If we want to leave a tip we will do, I wouldn't expect many customers think this is fair practice.

We enjoyed our lunch at Cote and I would certainly come again to try more from the extensive menu.

It would have been 6 stars if the steak had not been a little chewy. Everything else was great. Glad to see the confit of duck back on the menu. Shame it's not always on, especially as Cote is "French".

I visited here today and it took half an hour to receive our starters wheb we did we received the wrong ones then when we finally got these it took another half hour to have our mains. Overall the food was lovely but as im a vegetarian receiving a meat starter wasnt very pleasant.

Excellent food. Well cooked, tender fillet steak and duck breast for main courses. Polite service. Only problem was the noise levels. We were unlucky to be in the back area if the restaurant which is a little claustrophobic with no windows. We were sharing the space with a large group of about 20 who were extremely loud. It was almost impossible to have a conversation and the waitress could not even hear us when we were trying to place our order!

Lovely meal in really comfortable and relaxing dining room. Great staff who made our stay very enjoyable and more than made up for the delay in food arriving late from the very busy kitchen.

The Staff were very attentive ,the food arrived promptly and was very enjoyable ,the staff catered well for my partners gluten free meal all in all a very nice experience

Absolutely amazing service, there were 14 of us and the manager was very helpful and gave us a superb free cocktail for the whole party to celebrate my brother in laws birthday, definitely a 'yes' resturant! ☺

Food excellent as usual, restaurant too dark unable to read menu (although we know it very well) even with the aid of two poor candles, luckily someone had the brains to turn up the lighting and we could enjoy our meal. Only quibble, the huge table of largely women made far too much noise, reckon one needs ear plugs when these large parties are in, or a free drink to make up for the noise!

Good hot food, excellent service, nice ambiance and the background music was not intrusive unlike so many places to eat. Good value too so we'll be back.

Such a lovely restaurant and lovely food, staff are attentive and very professional. It's a shame that more veg is not served with the mains instead of having to pay extra for them.

Enjoyed a lovely evening meal at the lewes restaurant, food was amazing and service to match. A very busy restaurant but food and drinks came without delay. Advise you book to save disappointment.

A LOVELY ATMOSPHERE, GOOD FOOD AND CONSIDERED WAITING STAFF. ONLY ISSUE ARE THE AMOUNT OF TABLES. YOU WERE SAT RATHER CLOSE TO OTHER DINERS MEANING PRIVATE CONVERSATIONS WERE NOT SO PRIVATE ANY MORE.

We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary with the family, and it was extra special as 6 of the 11 of us live abroad and so we don't see them very often. We had a lovely semi private room to the left of the main room. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. Thank you very much.

We enjoyed our meal and the venue (Lewes). The service was very good. We started with the enormous chicken liver pate which was very good and some olives. We liked the green olives but didn't like the black ones. The main meals were great, nicely presented and tasty but my husband was a bit disappointed that the crackling on his belly pork was not crackling but rather soggy. We like going to this branch of Cote very much and will definitely be going again. Thanks.

Took my partner to the Lewes branch for a chilled lunch this Sunday. I have been to a few other branches before, but it was his first time. We both agreed that it was a beautifully decorated restaurant, the food was delicious, with lots of choices. The staff were enthusiastic, had huge smiles on their faces and made us feel very welcome, with regular, but not intrusive checks on our meal! Would definitely recommend, and plan to return soon!

Welcoming service - a genuinely warm greeting too, great food, varied menu, reasonable price. One criticism only - a nearby table of oafish 'guests'. Did we really need to hear every word? Thank goodness we were finishing our main course when they arrived.

Excellent meal and service. Never a great fan of chain restaurants but this particular branch has the feel of an independent and is one of the few places in the town serving food on a Sunday evening. Many thanks.

A very good brand and we were not let down by the service and the quality of food on a quiet Tuesday evening. Will recommend this restaurant.
