Côte Newbury

Lunch was delicious, especially the scallops! I was meeting a friend so the delay on the main courses was not really a problem but we did have to remind one of the staff. Otherwise as usual brilliant.

Good food and good service. Have been several times and each time it has been a pleasant visit. As a vegetarian I would just like more main course choices.

The Cote Brasserie in Newbury is first class. The service is great and the food is really good with lots of choice - will definitely be returning

Had a very pleasant meal with my wife and children Staff very efficient and friendly and food was excellent . With a nice cosy restaurant atmosphere we keep coming back as have not found a better venue in Newbury. Well done to all the staff who certainly work hard to make it happen for their customers.

Brilliant attentive service with great food. Recommended venue and good value. Wine not extortionate and a variety of specials to go along with a comprehensive a la carte menu.

We enjoyed a nice meal, towards the end of the evening there seemed to be no staff. We waited to order coffee but no one was around, so we just asked for the bill and left.

Very slow service. Uncooked fish needed to be sent back. Steak not especially tasty. Mussels cool when served. Puddings were nice. It was however extremely busy

Lovely meal, excellent service, great ambiance. Lived up to the usual Cote Brasserie high standard. Would not hesitate to visit this restaurant again. We enjoyed our free bottle of wine for registering for the rewards scheme.

We had a lovely evening and the food was delicious, maybe not the best place to sit as we were near the kitchen and things got dropped! Maybe that table is just too close, But the staff were lovely. Overall experience was very good. Thank you

Food and service very good. Ambience is pleasing, French bistro style. You should note that an "optional" 12.5% service charge is automatically added to the bill.

When we arrived our online reservation hadn't worked but the staff were fantastic and found us a table. The meal was very good and the service was excellent

We were greeted on arrival and shown to our spacious table that allowed plenty of space for my husband's wheelchair. We enjoyed good food, friendly service and were well catered for in every respect. When the waiter learned it was our wedding anniversary we were served glasses of bubbly.

Friendly greeting, very efficient service, delicious food at a reasonable price! The idea of a changing menu every month is a brilliant idea. We will be back.

Meal arrived cool and asked for re heat. Replacement arrived piping hot tasty and cost removed from the bill. Good but right first time would have been better

The calamari was great. The chicken main was overcooked. The tarte tatin was fabulous. The service could have been better though. Overcooked main and service are the reasons for not so great ratings.

We love Cote in Newbury - the staff are welcoming, friendly and wonderfully attentive and the food is delicious. The restaurant is clean and nicely furnished and you can pop in for a quick lunch or stay all afternoon - lovely never to be rushed out. They have good offers if you join their rewards scheme and I go there for supper with my husband and kids and sneaky lunches with friends when time allows. Menu has something for everyone and there is a decent wine list. Highly recommended (although not too highly or I'll never be able to get a table!)

Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere and delicious mouth watering food. Never disappointed so making this a regular place to eat. Set price menu makes it ideal for those on a budget to have a treat.

Nice Mother's Day lunch. Good gluten-free options which makes a nice change. My daughter enjoyed the chocolate fondant enormously. Would recommend particularly for gluten free.

Food was great (Calamari and Breton Fish Stew). Pity the scallops weren't available. The complimentary bottle of Bergerac - a welcome gift for joining the Cote-Rewards scheme - was excellent.

superb meal and ambience enjoyed very much again as we are regulars at the Newbury restuarant which gives one a real feeling of being in France. A1!

A lovely evening with the family. Good service for mains and desserts, but had to wait a while for the bill. Our waitress was lovely and very polite.

my wife and I had lunch there today, and took advantage of the new menu. we both had the French cottage pie followed by the crumble and ice cream. DELICIOUS.

An excellent evening and superb food. The waiters were attentive without being overbearing and the venue was cosy and welcoming. We would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to our friends and are certain to be visiting again.

As always a first class menu, first class service, first class staff, first class experience. We use Newbury, Bath and Oxford Côte restaurants on a regular basis and have never been disappointed yet and we eat out at least three times a week!
