Côte Newbury

Food is always consistently good at the Newbury cote, the place is comfortable and staff are great. Always good to eat here, shame the haywards heath and Chichester are not as good.

Food was great (Calamari and Breton Fish Stew). Pity the scallops weren't available. The complimentary bottle of Bergerac - a welcome gift for joining the Cote-Rewards scheme - was excellent.

I ordered Eggs Royale, but unfortunately the whites of the eggs were undercooked and runny. When I ordered the dish I mentioned I had this problem before. The staff handled this very well and I received a new dish which was very nice.

Always a very warm welcome, was seated promptly and looked after. Our hot drinks were delicious. Definitely a great place to meet with a client as the service is friendly and professional. Look forward to my next visit.

Great service as always and a delicious meal. The staff were attentive but not overfacing. Althoigh our table was not ready when we arrived as the previous table were running late they found us another with no fuss

Yet another warm welcome from the staff as we went in. Then shown to are table and within a minute or so the waitress came and asked what we would like. We ordered our meals and as always lathe staff were fantastic.The meal arrived plate and food hot perfect and yes the waitress did come back and asked if everything was OK. One can not fault them they are all fantastic 10/10 in our eyes.

The food and service were good and the atmosphere was friendly. I don't like them adding 12 1/2% to the bill....I decide what tip I want to give!

Staff were good overall although the olives that were offered on arrival didn't ever arrive. Our table had a 2 seater shared sofa for seating which meant awkward intemite dinning with the neighbouring table once they'd arrived.

superb meal and ambience enjoyed very much again as we are regulars at the Newbury restuarant which gives one a real feeling of being in France. A1!

As always a first class menu, first class service, first class staff, first class experience. We use Newbury, Bath and Oxford Côte restaurants on a regular basis and have never been disappointed yet and we eat out at least three times a week!

Good service. Good selection on menu. Would have awarded 6 had the soup arrived warmer. Polite staff, very attentive without being intrusive. I would recommend a visit.

Cote Brasserie is one of the best restaurants in Newbury for quality food, excellent service and a lovely inviting atmosphere. I typically stay away from chains but Cote for me is always the exception as I can't fault it at all.

Great atmosphere. Lovely service although a little slow to get started. Food fabulous. Warm clean and an air of French ambiance made for a lovely dinner venue. I think the tip should not be added to the bill but at the discretion of the patrons

We've only been a couple of times but they both been excellent and this is now our new restaurant of choice for a lovely date night.

Service was a bit slow this time, although the section where we were wasn't busy. Lunch menu good value, as always, and a nice atmosphere.

Another tasty and good value lunch at Cote Newbury,service friendly and efficient. Definitely a class above all the other chains. Could eat here all the time!

Being a french style restaurant, the food was excellent and the waiter was quite humourous. All in all, a great experience. My only addition, it that some pre snacks without charge would be a great idea.

Brilliant food, lovely Moulds frites, tasty and well cooked. Creme brulee to die for. Smooth and creamy. The service was top notch too. Not over fast but we were nevery kept waiting. Excellent

After eating at this restaurant frequently since it opened and then being served fillet steak that was off (to the extent it was full of air and smelt like out of date meat) to then be confronted by the Manager and being told "it only came in yesterday and is fine" resulted in us leaving. We will NEVER eat there again. The management of the situation was poorly done, we made no fuss but we're basically called liars. Unacceptable. We paid our bill for what we ate and left. Chefs should surely know when meat is substandard let alone off, managers whilst replacing food should realise that guests deserve to be treated with respect especially when the food is so blatantly poor. Bad show all round!!!!

Consistent as always, good food, good service, back time and time again. All Cote restaurants offer solid standards without exception so far. Highly recommend to anyone for relaxed meal in nice surroundings.

As always, the Cote Newbury delivers. The food is extremely good and very reasonably priced, the service is impeccable and the overall atmosphere is great. There is no overall fussing and you always know you will receive wonderful service. A place to go to without worry.

Booked for lunch on Saturday for myself and a friend and we had the minute steak, the fishcakes and a lovely bottle of red wine, it was all absolutely fantastic, the atmosphere was busy and buzzing and the service was exceptional, will definitely return.

Love eating here, the food is amazing and there's plenty of choices to suit all budgets. The staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable about the food and wine and the manager Karen is very welcoming and will do her very best to make your time there special.

The service was great and even when our meals had to be re cooked due to the mussesls not looking so great they came and told us and offered extra seafood.

The food and the service was excellent all round. Great flavours and the service was very attentive but discreet. I certainly recommend a visit and we will be back soon.
