As always friendly reception and shown to my favourite table. I had lunch with my son and grandson who thoroughly enjoyed the mussels and steak and frites. The staff were very efficient and helpful yet unobtrusive. Our favourite eaterie in Newbury.

We recently booked a table for four, we had the breakfast and quite frankly it was the worst I have ever had in the newbury restaurant. Drinks order was wrong and then the food was completely wrong! How can you get poached eggs when we asked for scrambled? Needless to say didn’t eat it! The toast wasn’t cooked at all and may as well have been just bread! I’m hoping this was just a blip as we do love dining here.

I absolutely love coming to Cote to eat, whether is breakfast lunch or dinner it is always first class. I have never had a bad experience here. Thank you so much for my birthday fizz with my two friends this evening, a very nice touch.

Lovely meal we had the pate and goats cheese starters followed by the steak and pork belly. Very good along with friendly service.

Where do we start...supposed to be a nice mothers day meal. Waited 15 mins for waiter to take order. It had been a busy day so some food had run out from mains which was no problem but also no flatbread we found the found out. Then no flute glasses for kir- which was flat when it eventually arrived in wine glasses and we ordered kir / kir royale but were same. One of our breads arrived virtually thrown in table, but no plates. I raised issues with front desk and other bread arrived with main courses- which were actually good. We didn't order anything else no adjustment to bill and should not have paid the 12.5% tip but felt for cooks, which were let down by front of house. We wont be back anytime soon and have plenty other options locally. On and out in under and hour, not a memorable experience

Party of 6 and the service was impeccable, nothing was too much trouble. The food was also fabulous, plenty of it and it was delicious. No complaints from anyone. Will defiantly be returning.

Whilst everything is good is Cote Newbury since becoming a Vegan your menu is terribly restricted. I can only ever have risotto or salad. Surely you can come up with some interesting Vegan options?

Having had a slightly disappointing experience on our last visit, we had a great meal last night. The service was outstanding from start to finish. The food was all great and overall we were very happy with the meal. We have had our faith restored in Cote and hope to visit again before too long!

To whom it may concern, I booked a table online not having been out for some time due to having a newborn in the household so we were really looking forward too it. Arriving and being seated we where not happy with our table as it is in the middle of the restaurant and walk way to and from the kitchen. We requested a different table and where only offer the option by the dessert station which seamed no different from being a relaxing environment for having a dinner out. The food was good and service not any issue. I just feel that there were other tables empty that was more relaxing than the 2 offered to us. I will not be coming back as I feel that we could have had a better evening out more relaxing somewhere els if we where offered a better seating table. Regards, Emma

The service was great, our waitress was fantastic, it was great ti have a laugh with the waitress when i tild her about my favourite dessert and that i wouldve licked the dish if i was alone. Thankyou ever so much for helping me make my other half's birthday special ☺☺ we will be back. The waitress is an absolute credit to the establishment. She deserves a raise. 6 stars for everything as everything was just amazing. X

Our waiter was very friendly and the food was delicious. Had a really lovely time celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday. The set menu is brilliant value for the quality of the food. A great evening out.

I booked a table for 8 well in advance, and a little bit disappointed with the time getting served with drinks & food, plus not happy that you don’t serve draft beer, and only very expensive bottled beer, £3.50 for a third of a bit is ridiculous. But have to say that we all enjoyed the food. My wife and I have had many lunches at both Reading & Newbury, so suggested to our friends that we should all meat for a meal at Newbury, prior to going to the Corn Exchange, but not sure if we will come in the evening again, as there are many other restaurants to choose from.

A particularly pleasant branch of Cote, giving extremely good food with excellent value for money. Friendly staff and good atmosphere. We will undoubtedly return again when next we are going to the Watermill Theatre at Bagnor.

Lovely food tho all rather oily!! Table a little cramped and place quite noisy but as in a group this wasn't such a problem.

I had a lovely time at Côte for my birthday celebration. The service was good, having pre-ordered our food, and the staff were very friendly and kind. The only thing is, I called ahead to let them know that we were running slightly late, and they seemed to believe that some of my party were already seated (they had given our table away). However, when we arrived, they had another table set up for us and we were offered drinks shortly afterwards.

Always have a great meal here and the service is very good. We will definitely be going back again for more wonderful food ... chocolate mousse is the best

I booked a table which was fine, the service was very good, but food a little slow in coming. In fairness the restaurant was busy, and we had a lot to talk about. My only .complaint' was that the fish pie was very salty, so much so that I could not finish it. Shame, as the food is usually so very good. But, I will come back as it is a really nice place to eat it and the girls are so friendly and polite. Please, just less salt!!!

Every thing about this evenings meal was just perfect with a warm welcome, great service, absolutely terrific food and a very relaxed atmosphere. Just right for the celebration family meal for my daughters 21st birthday and great value for money. We continue to go to Cote regularly because we know that it is the best. Well done to all the staff.

Complimentary cocktail looked amazing. Tasted ok/average - would not pay for one though. Cote were very accommodating as I’d booked and cancelled tables to get the offer!! Lovely lady on reception - very chatty and welcoming. Service at table was very slow. Took quite a while to get water, drinks and to be asked our food other. We did pay device charge...but regrettably. Reception service great...but table service poor. On reflection we shouldn’t have paid this ‘added on’ charge. Don’t like the fact it’s automatically added to the bill. Love your salmon starts! Lamb chops were great too. Your food never disappoints.

Food was as good as ever, but the upstairs seating area was new to us and the atmosphere was not as good as downstairs, more than server would have helped.
