Good food, good prices and fantastic staff. What's not to like?? A great meal at a very good price. Not rushed. May need to change the menu a bit more often.

Food perfectly cooked and piping hot. And a special thank you to our lovely waitress who sang Happy Birthday to me all on her own! Was pleased to know I could still manage to blow out all the candles all in one go!

We went for lunch for my Husband's birthday. As there was an offer on of a bottle of wine with the meal it made the experience even more enjoyable. The service we received was excellent and the food was very good too. We always enjoy our visit to Cote Newbury.

Food was great, waiter looked after us extremely well, was attentive, friendly and professional, and the atmosphere was good. The only thing that let it down was the automatically added 12.5% gratuity to our bill! We always tip, but want to choose the amount ourselves not have this dictated!

There were three in my party, one is a vegetarian. We were met at the door and conducted to our table with no wait at all, were we were given the menus including a special vegetarian one. Then as it was my birthday we were presented with three glasses of Kir Royal. Excellent! We all chose different dishes and we were happy with our choices, the food was well prepared and presented. Once we had eaten we requested the bill which was presented promptly and was very reasonable considering the quality of the food, wine and service.

The food was very good but the overall bill more expensive than anticipated due to being given large 250 ml glasses of wine without being given the option. Had we realised, a bottle would have worked out far cheaper. This, together with a hefty service charge left a bad taste after an otherwise pleasant evening.

The staff is very polite and well-prepared. I like the food as well. I am really satisfied! If I have the chance will come back definietly!

Enjoyable food which was nice and warm and good value. The set menu always includes good tasty dishes and variety. Waiter was attentive and friendly too

tasty as always, but they forgot the hollandaise with the poached eggs it was quickly resolved so it wasnt a big concern thanks again to the team.

We went last week for the first time and were expecting a real French meal. The menu seems to offer a sort of Fr-angle dishes.

It was the usual good standard. A warm welcome and efficient service and delicious food. A great favourite with us and we will be back again.

Lovely meal, gorgeous french style chicken, followed by apple tart and vanilla ice cream. Food was delicious. Our waiter was also great and the service very good.

Lovely breakfast, great friendly and helpful service which was much appreciated with a wriggly two year old. Nice relaxed atmosphere which is what you want on a Sunday mornings.

Early evening so restaurant not busy; staff very pleasant and attentive but not overly so; food very good, as always, hot and appetising. All in all a good evening, worth going out in the cold for.

Well balenced meuu - something for everyone. Helpful staff and a good atmosphere. The daily fixed price menu is a very good deal and very popular.

The menu is full of variety and fresh ingredients to suit all, the meals are cooked to a very high standard which I throughly enjoyed , the service was amazing , extremely warm friendly atmosphere,we definitely will be returning without a doubt 👍🏻

Poor quality food in general not restaurant standard, amateurish. When we asked for plates for our bread and butter we were told we'd be lucky if there were any as they always break, we did actually get plates but thought it odd food was served without plates.

Staff very helpful and friendly. Starters good - terrine and langoustines. Mushroom dish very good. Pork rather bland. Not enough puy lentils. Excellent mousse and chocolate pot. Complimentary water appreciated. Some bread with main course would have been nice.

Always a pleasure with good food and excellent service. A good crowd this evening, probably pre-theatre, gave a good atmosphere. Our party of four enjoyed and our guests are now cote brasserie converts.

A lovely meal as normal. Great service and value for money. Would recommend to anyone and look forward to my next visit. Also good value.

Cote is a Newbury favourite - consistently good food, friendly service and a nice atmosphere. We had a seat by the window and happily watched Saturday shoppers bustling by. My only disappointment is the 12.5% gratuity added to the bill. This can be and was deducted to enable us to leave our discretionary amount but could be missed and I feel is a small liberty.

A really enjoyable occasion (as usual!). The staff were friendly and helpful and the food and wine excellent. This is our restaurant of choice in Newbury.

Our book club meets here every month because the food and service is wonderfully consistent. There is enough choice for all of us to have something we like, including wine and pudding. And no washing up!

Fabulous as usual. Wonderful service. Delicious food. Perfect. Since Cote opened in Newbury we rarely use any other restaurants as we know we are guaranteed a warm welcome and first class dining.

Restaurant was good and the service from our waiter was great, very helpful without being obtrusive but the food wasn't that great considering the price, It looked like my meal wasn't freshly prepared but had been cooked earlier and reheated prior to being served, it was dry on the outside. Wine was good!

We had another fantastical meal at Côte Newbury. There seems to be some new staff members but the service remains attentive, friendly and the food always served properly, and piping hot and fresh.

Today I brought my cousins who were visiting from America. They absolutely loved Côte. Everyone had a great meal. So much so that they went to Côte for a meal when they got to London!

The food that we chose ..was lovely..when we eventually got it ..though after the long wait £50..for 3 for lunch seemed a lot ...no starters... no desserts etc 2 beers 2 mains and 1 starter for a main......and complimentary water...however....but we booked for 12noon ...and arrived at 11 45..and our dinner order was taken by 1205 ...which I thought was very efficient... we had booked theatre tickets for a matinee at 1400 hours...about a 1 hours drive from Newbury....we had a 90 year old man with us... who was quite hungry...but didn't get our food until 1245..I did ask a waiter ...if they had missed our order and he said that unfortunately..as we didn't want breakfast ...we had to wait until all the breakfast orders were sent out.....moral of the story is I think...don't go before 1230...when they accommodate all the late Saturday breakfast people...for us a very disappointing visit... ...and really no apologies ...we visit Côte on regular basis ..in Dorking Reigate and Horsham...but this wasn't up to the usual standard...and kind of put a damper on the 90 year olds day ..who remarked ..we should have gone to M & S across the road ...sadly...

Great food, good location, service good and friendly but restaurant was very noisy and even though we had booked a table for 5, the 5 of us we were very squashed into a small space.

Great location. Good food. Friendly staff. Early dinner menu good value when you book and eat before before 7 pm . Breakfast is good. Would advise you book a table.

Excellent food, great atmosphere and good service. It's always been a favourite of ours. The pork belly is delicious 'a must'! The early bird menu is also a fab deal

Very good service. My main meal was too salty and I sent it back. A replacement was brought very quickly with lots of apologies from the staff

Wife arrived first and not asked if she wanted a drink. Meal and service was good. Staff friendly and helful. Will continue to visit cote.

Excellent Special Menu from 12 - 7pm changed monthly. Superb value for a varied choice to suit everyone. This is a regular haunt. The Best!

Very nice meal, good service. Did not like where they sat us. Right by the door with a curtain behind me. So everyone just kept coming up behind me. Kept making me jump. Was glad to go before I had heart attack. This was for my son’s birthday. Even he kept say steady on. Also did not like they way you add on tips.

Always a fantastic experience at Cote Newbury. Great service, great staff and good food. Oh and good wine too! We will come back again and again
