An excellent breakfast, very prompt service. All reasonably priced. The formule option is a must. Full English breakfast, cloudy apple juice and a cappuccino all for only £11.

Everything was just perfect. Really enjoy my birthday in there with my family and with my girlfriend. Don’t need more words. 100% I’ll see you again.

Excellent number and variety of menu choices, our own very much enjoyed. The staff, as always, were most attentive and friendly. The ambience is pleasant, though tends to be very noisy when crowded - partly, of course, a result of its popularity.

It was easy to book, there was a nice welcome and the staff were attentive all evening, oh, and the food was great as well!

Excellent as always the food and service at this branch of Cote are always good. The free bottle of wine was an extra bonus, very acceptable.

Good service, lovey food and a pleasant atmosphere. There was an issue with one of our main courses which shouldn’t have happened but was sorted without question and lots of apologies.

Love Cotes, have never had a bad meal, and we have eaten there a lot ! Tend to go out of main hours, ie well after lunch and before dinner, as it is very popular and we like it a little quieter. Staff excellent. Only complaint 12.5% service charge on coffee is a bit steep.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal, the food was absolutely delicious and the portions a generous size. The service was very good both friendly and efficient and we are already planning a repeat visit except will probably go on a quieter night next time as it is quite hectic on a Saturday night.

It was a double birthday celebration for 10 people and although busy the staff gave us great service. A little slow on the orders for drinks when we arrived but apart from that, brilliant.

Waiter was great (Tamas) but there were a few items not available on the menu which was disappointing 😓 Have been to several Cote restaurants before bout not had this level of lack of availability.

A most enjoyable lunch experience. We chose the lunchtime special menu which was good value for money. I had the mussels which were delicious, the portion size just right for a starter and the coq au vin main was spot on. Service was excellent, thank you, we will return.

Not quite the usual standard of service that we have come to expect but still pretty good. Food, as always, was excellent and we will certainly visit again soon.

Excellent staff and service exceptional and food first class lovely brassiere. Everything cooked to perfection, prompt service for drinks etc and no fuss as our daughter joined us who is unable to eat as she is tube fed, but everything went like clockwork and no reference was made why she wasn't eating. Some restaurants ask isn't there anything we could tempt you with? We will always go back here

Food tasty and well presented with a good choice .Service prompt ,staff polite and welcoming .Despite being rather noisy due to low ceiling it is our favourite restaurant in town for lunch .

We had a lovely meal and the service was amazing. We had three courses for £13.50. The coq au vin was one of the best i have tasted. The tea however was terrible. I don't know what variety you use but it needs reviewing. Even after stewing for 10 mins it was so weak.

Food was enjoyed by all of us. Service was prompt but I would have preferred not to have been addressed as “darling” Also waiter served the person by the side of me and passed the plate across me rather than behind. Not exactly silver service.

Very slow service but excellent food and service. The staff were helpful and offered discount to compensate for delay. It's quite a noisey restairant though so don't expect a peaceful evening!

Had the meat platter which is always good. Usually have the cassoulet which I love but a bit early in the year perhaps to be on the menu. Instead I had the pork belly which was the best I have ever had - my partner had the fish pie, also very good.

Food and service excellent. Went at lunchtime and limited on time but although it was busy once our order was placed food arrived quickly. It was delicious and well presented.

Service was very good, the food was excellent and communication great. When we ordered our meal we were informed that there might be a slight delay and so the drinks were on the house! As it turned out the food arrived in a timely fashion and was delicious. All in all, a great meal with excellent service.

Tomas was our very attentive waiter, recommending dishes and wine etc, unfortunately it was a flying visit on the way to the cinema. Our starters, were excellent, especially the warm beetroot salad, the seabass utterly delicious, plates nice and hot. Unfortunately no time for a dessert. The Birthday Kiri Royals made it special for me. So pleased Cote has come to Newbury, my favourite lunchtime venue with friends. Thank you Thomas, Chef and staff.

We always enjoy our meals at Côte very much. The quality of food and service is excellent. The cleanliness of the whole premises is second to none.

The three course`s my wife had were cooked perfectly, the staff were very helpful, when we go to newbury again we will dine in cote. Allan from Basingstoke.

I had liver pate,while chewing nearly swallowed a piece of plastic, which was embarrassing as it actually was half way down my throat so was chocking. Waitress was very good and got the manager, they gave us our meal free, it was the £2.95 for 3 courses. I really felt more compensation should of been given as it was dangerous, it was not a good experience, and how come the plastic was in the pate? Should I take this matter further?

I have previously visited Cote in Reading, the menu was the same but the food was cooked better at the Reading branch which left me a little disappointed with the Newbury restuarant.

It was our first time at Cote which we really enjoyed. Food was of good excellent standard and also enjoyed a free bottle of wine. Will definetly be returning.

lovely atmosphere and good selection of food especially vegetarian menus. Perhaps vary the puddings available on your set meal menu - we go so often it would be good to have a change:)

Excellent meal, with first class service to celebrate an anniversary. We have visited Newbury Cote many times and have always enjoyed our meal and been well looked after.

Service and choice always excellent - a great place for a late weekend breakfast - Staff in Newbury are particularly pleasant - attentive but not annoying - best to book on a Saturday to avoid disappointment

An excellent experience from the moment we walked into the restaurant. The service was just right, the menu choice was varied and the food was top notch.

Enjoyed excellent food (with a good gluten-free menu), very good service, the waiters and waitresses are very knowledgeable and always willing to help. Always a great dining experience.
