Côte Newbury

Pissaladiere, fish pie and swordfish all very good. Service good also but a little slow sometimes., but overall was very good value for money. Will definitely go again.

superb meal and ambience enjoyed very much again as we are regulars at the Newbury restuarant which gives one a real feeling of being in France. A1!

Food was great (Calamari and Breton Fish Stew). Pity the scallops weren't available. The complimentary bottle of Bergerac - a welcome gift for joining the Cote-Rewards scheme - was excellent.

Always a very warm welcome, was seated promptly and looked after. Our hot drinks were delicious. Definitely a great place to meet with a client as the service is friendly and professional. Look forward to my next visit.

The food and service were good and the atmosphere was friendly. I don't like them adding 12 1/2% to the bill....I decide what tip I want to give!

Delicious food and wonderful waiter - Ivan - what a treasure! He looked after us beautifully and was charming in every way. We had a lovely table and will be back!

Great service as always and a delicious meal. The staff were attentive but not overfacing. Althoigh our table was not ready when we arrived as the previous table were running late they found us another with no fuss

Staff were good overall although the olives that were offered on arrival didn't ever arrive. Our table had a 2 seater shared sofa for seating which meant awkward intemite dinning with the neighbouring table once they'd arrived.

Great service and top quality food. Always a warm welcome and prompt service. Menu choice varied and imaginative. Recommended for lunch and dinner. Do a great breakfast too!

Yet another warm welcome from the staff as we went in. Then shown to are table and within a minute or so the waitress came and asked what we would like. We ordered our meals and as always lathe staff were fantastic.The meal arrived plate and food hot perfect and yes the waitress did come back and asked if everything was OK. One can not fault them they are all fantastic 10/10 in our eyes.

The staff at the Newbury branch are friendly, professional and it is an ideal local restaurant for us to use for both business lunches and personally. The only problem I have encountered so far is that I have not received a free bottle of wine since registering on-line and for some reason your e-mails are addressed to Rory Dunleavy (who is a colleague of mine that uses the restaurant separately and also has a reward/point system).

Unfortunately had to send a dish back today, but the staff were lovely. A replacement meal was brought without a fuss and the cost of the meal deducted from our bill xxx

An excellent evening and superb food. The waiters were attentive without being overbearing and the venue was cosy and welcoming. We would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to our friends and are certain to be visiting again.

Great food once again, 3 course lunch menu for £13 each and the food is amazing. Very busy today and still the service is excellent, we'll be back again next week.

Great food and good service as always. One of the best places to get a beef burger in Newbury. Not had a bad meal here.

my wife and I had lunch there today, and took advantage of the new menu. we both had the French cottage pie followed by the crumble and ice cream. DELICIOUS.

Lovely food, good efficient service & amazing friendly staff given we had young children. Quite happy to substitute certain items to please the children. Would go again.

As always a first class menu, first class service, first class staff, first class experience. We use Newbury, Bath and Oxford Côte restaurants on a regular basis and have never been disappointed yet and we eat out at least three times a week!

Food is always consistently good at the Newbury cote, the place is comfortable and staff are great. Always good to eat here, shame the haywards heath and Chichester are not as good.

I ordered Eggs Royale, but unfortunately the whites of the eggs were undercooked and runny. When I ordered the dish I mentioned I had this problem before. The staff handled this very well and I received a new dish which was very nice.

Friendly and efficient staff. Very good food. The fish dishes are always beautifully cooked and today was no exception. Great value too if you have the lunch menu.

A lovely evening with the family. Good service for mains and desserts, but had to wait a while for the bill. Our waitress was lovely and very polite.

Good service. Good selection on menu. Would have awarded 6 had the soup arrived warmer. Polite staff, very attentive without being intrusive. I would recommend a visit.

After eating at this restaurant frequently since it opened and then being served fillet steak that was off (to the extent it was full of air and smelt like out of date meat) to then be confronted by the Manager and being told "it only came in yesterday and is fine" resulted in us leaving. We will NEVER eat there again. The management of the situation was poorly done, we made no fuss but we're basically called liars. Unacceptable. We paid our bill for what we ate and left. Chefs should surely know when meat is substandard let alone off, managers whilst replacing food should realise that guests deserve to be treated with respect especially when the food is so blatantly poor. Bad show all round!!!!

Cote Brasserie is one of the best restaurants in Newbury for quality food, excellent service and a lovely inviting atmosphere. I typically stay away from chains but Cote for me is always the exception as I can't fault it at all.

Food was amazingly good and service with a smile top it all. Highly recommended. When service is as good as the service, you have done well.

Ok - service was rather slow and it wasn't even a busy time. Waiter was pleasant enough when he was around and food was good value.

Being a french style restaurant, the food was excellent and the waiter was quite humourous. All in all, a great experience. My only addition, it that some pre snacks without charge would be a great idea.

Brilliant food, lovely Moulds frites, tasty and well cooked. Creme brulee to die for. Smooth and creamy. The service was top notch too. Not over fast but we were nevery kept waiting. Excellent
