Fantastic as always would highly recommend food and service very good, atmosphere is great the staff are very helpful and the wine list is also very good.

Efficient friendly service and delicious food. The lunchtime special is very good value. It was my second visit but my friends first and she very much enjoyed it.

Really Good as always. Early supper with friends before a visit to the theatre. A nice menu prepared for Newcastle Restaurant Week. The staff charming and attentive as always. Well worth a visit.

We booked on line at the COTE website for a early evening meal at 5 p.m. to suit our arrangements for that day and having used this brand many times in London, Edinburgh and Newcastle we were looking forward to our usual very pleasant experience. Upon arriving the first thing the blond young manageress said was 'i want the table back for 7 p.m.' i then explained that there had been no such qualification when we booked and then she said in a impolite way that she was heavily booked at 7 p.m. and i informed her that was not our fault and that i was not happy. It then took them 22 minutes to come and take the food order and also they said that the wine we ordered was not chilled so we had to pick another. Therefore why this rating was given. So Cote you need to up your game and retrain your managers in customer service and make it quick !!

As always the food here is super. The jenus are very varied and there is something for everyone we love it. The staff are very attentive too. Will continue to go here.

Since our first visit to this venue, standards have not changed! Ambiance, food, drink and staff service are of the highest quality. Location is within 3 minutes walk of the main shopping area and seconds from the famous indoor Grainger market. Well done to all at Cote for making us feel so welcome. Guide Dog puppy Katie also enjoyed the attention and bowl of water.

Nice food and service, but food served quite slow.. Thecrestaurant wasnt even half full. We got a complimentary birthday drink which was nice. Overall pleasant, will visit again.

As always, staff efficient, food and drink top notch. They even gave guide dog pup her drink in a champagne salver and we had favourite table by the window. Well done Cote, another fab visit.

One can always depend on quality at Cote, wherever you go in the country; the service, value and food is always excellent, which is exceptional for a chain.

we visited for my daughter's birthday - my wife's veggie option was good and my sea bream very good. waitress was exceptional -meal good value.

We enjoyed our meal but they had ran out of 3 things we ordered which is unusual. However It didn’t spoil our visit and we will be back soon in January.

Brilliant! Never been disappointed at the Cote. Early supper this time before Candlelight Viennese music at St Nic’s Cathedral. Service excellent, ‘gluten free’ meal was delicious- such a great choice complete gf menu, just ask!! I’m Coeliac, so it’s really important and the staff at Cote are well trained and knowledgeable- I’ve never had a problem!! Enjoyed it so much we’ve booked again for Christmas Eve 😊🎄

It was very busy with many large parties, so service was very slow. The food was excellent and the bill was reduced to compensate for the poor service.

The atmosphere was nice for an early evening meal. The staff were attentive and the food was tasty and good value. I would recommend Cote Newcastle to those looking for an early evening/pre theatre meal.

The service was good. It is also child friendly. We had a child with us & I noticed a children's birthday party at a table near us. The space is designed to be intimate at each table so other diners are not disturbed.

This restaurant is consistently good — perfectly cooked food, a varied menu of classic French dishes, a reasonably priced wine list and attentive service. The Crème Caramel is the best I have ever tasted.

I asked for a table at the rear of the restaurant when I booked online and was shown to a nice booth at the rear. The food was lovely and the service good as always. I can highly recommend the pear, cheese and endive salad. Would have liked the creme brulee a little firmer and crispier on top, but otherwise superb and all four of us had a lovely experience for my daughter's birthday.

An excellent evening with super fast service. Food was delicious and well cooked. The ice cream with hot chocolate sauce was superb. Although the restaurant wa not full, the atmosphere was convivial.

Amazing Food, Fantastic Service and a beautiful restaurant. There was so much choice and the food was such fantastic quality. The only SLIGHT issue that I had was as a large party of women ordering different bottles of wine the bill came at the end as a bit of a list and it would have been helpful if we had been able to break this down with the waiter before it got to us as it is not the easiest task a bottle of wine and 2 classes of Kir Royal later to do ourselves.

This restaurant has never served me anything but super food. I just love going here and would recommend it to anyone. The set menus are extremely good value for money.

Excellent meal, served by very helpful staff. Good selection of gluten free options. Service was quick and efficient and because we had time constraints, the waiter was conscious of this all the time.

Used this chain a lot around the country and very happy with the Newcastle restaurant, staff friendly and helpful, a very good location as well.

We had a lovely pre theatre meal here last week. The food was first class as was the service. A great experience, we will return soon.

we have been to quite a few Cotes around the UK and have always enjoyed it but today we were put in a back room with only two other people who were having a noisy business meeting and whose phones kept going off and who did not move away to take the calls. We also suffered from very poor service - it was like we were out of sight therefore out of mind. There was always a long pause between sitting down - getting a menu - ordering and getting served. one hour 40 minutes for two courses. If this had been our first visit it would be most unlikely that we would return.

Very pleasant staff, attentive service. Prestige set menu good quality and value. Good location, very close to Theatre Royal and Tyneside Cinema. We've been about six times now and never been disappointed.

Best meal I’ve had for a long time French Oniin soup is the best followed by a perfectly cooked rib eye steak and the best Cream Caramel ever Wash down with a glass of Malbec Divine
