Côte St Christopher's Place

First visit and didn't disappoint. Nice, friendly atmosphere, attentive staff, tasty food and good value. Would come again.

It was very busy and quite noisy but the service was efficient and the food was delicious. Would definitely visit again. Was pleased I booked a table in advance.

Great friendly unpretentious service. Tasty food in good quantity. We had a poussin and alsmb chops, both May menu. The bread was delicious ( wish you sold your loaves) the saucisson very good quality and the rhubarb martini a joy. All at a reasonable price. As always the pleasure of linen napkins.

Three of us for lunch with no particular rush. Two of us had the special menu, which was particularly good value for money. Food and service were excellent.

Very poor service. Took ages to take out order and totally forgot our main course. Generally good experience at Côte but this was definitely not up to standard.

Good food. Efficient, friendly, attentive service. Excellent location for West End shopping - and Wigmore Hall. I particularly like the vegetarian menu, which takes the guess work out of choosing and stops you pestering staff to see if the chocolate mousse might contain gelatine...Great place. Always use when attending concerts nearby.

We had the premium pre-theatre menu. Crotin and Feuillete were both tasty and provided a good starter. The mains were poached salmon on a bed of green beans and peas and a rib-eye steak with frites - medium rare, tasty and tender. Overall, well-prepared food, excellent value for money. Efficient service. Ideal before a concert.

We ate from the set menu. An excellent choice of dishes at a very reasonable price. Exceptional service from all the staff. We eat there regularly when in London and have never found any fault! We have another two bookings coming up. Highly recommended!

Service prompt but not rushed. Quality of food consistent with other Côte locations. Ambience pleasant. Some tables a bit too close to each other. Rather noisy from the general busy nature of the restaurant and volume of diners. I would return.

We rcgulars at Cote St Christopher’s Place and are never disappointed. The friendly staff and overall ambience are great. Food is always of a good standard and this visit was no different.

Sadly my steak was inedible - it was full of veins. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals though. I did tell the waiter who said he would tell someone, but I did not want to make a scene in front of my friends. I have been there many times and this is the first time I think that the food was not good.

Very good value for great service and excellent food. Steak was cooked to perfection, crab cake was delicious, wait staff and management was very polite.

Really quick and efficient service. Great breakfast at a really good price. Not sure if it's only this branch that's exceptional because I've never had brunch at any other branches of Cote, but I will definitely revisit this one when I'm in central London.

Over the years I have written so many reviews praising Cote , and yet again I have to do the same for today, Ivan was of cause his most charming self and his staff so welcoming and efficient it is a pleasure the moment I step inside Cote. Roger Brown

Early evening so not too busy and just as single course and a glass of wine for each of us. As always, good food choice well prepared and good service.

St Christopher's Place Cote is wonderful. The staff are always charming and very professional. I have been coming here for many years and the food, service and location is excellent.

Another delicious lunch with delightful service. The Fish Parmentier was scrumptious - perfectly seasoned & generously filled. My companion said that the Lamb chops were excellent & the Rhubarb Martini she tried was wonderful. Staff as always attentive but not overly so - the perfect place to catch up with friends over a good meal if only the noise level could be managed - such a shame as this is the only downside of the restaurant. Still, soon it will be warm enough to eat outside & the internal noise level won't matter.

My daughter and I had lunch and redeemed the very generous free bottle of wine as I had just signed up to Cote. The chicken dish was very well cooked but we had to send the rib eye steak back as it was cooked rare and not medium rare as requested, we waited for 15 minutes and it arrived cooked as we had asked for. It did mean that our lunch took longer than we had expected but that was ok as we had the wine to drink. I had requested a glass of ice to accompany the wine as we prefer it very cold. We had finished the ice and I asked for some more as we had 1 glass of wine each left to drink. When I put the ice in our drinks , I noticed that the glass containing the ice had some dried food on the inside and the outside. I flagged this up to the manager and said that we couldn't drink the wine, so he apologised and said he would give us a glass of wine each and would investigate the matter as it was a serious thing to have happened. When I asked for the bill, I noticed that we had still been charged for 1 steak and 1 chicken, I would have expected the meal to have comped as this was a hygiene issue and I was concerned either of us could fall ill . We paid and went to the loo and on our way out I spoke to the manager and said I was disappointed we had not had anything taken off my bill by way of a goodwill gesture. His colleague (perhaps another manager) said that we had the free bottle of wine(but this was free as a promotion anyway). The two glasses of wine that replaced our ones were like for like. We were billed for 2 rib eye and 1 was taken off, so in fact we paid for everything as we would have if everything had been ok with the meal. I said that I would be making a complaint via the website and it was at this point that the manager asked what I wanted, so I said I wanted a refund, which he gave me in cash but the whole experience left my daughter and I rather upset and we shall not be returning to this restaurant again.

Always love this restaurant, never fails to disappoint! Service and food were great and reasonably priced which is hard to find in central London. Will be back!

We had great service from very amiable serving staff a great crab bisque we both ordered hake wrapped in bacon unfortunately it was not the best the fish inside the wrap was dry and rather tasteless very little taste of bacon . We were given back £11.90 ,we use Côte a lot and recommend it to friends would rather not have to complain and it is a first.
