Lovely staff, food, venue and prices. 👍 What’s not to like.

Very enjoyable with excellent service. I like small portiions so stayed with two starters. The rest of my family had a full course meal and enjoyed it. the waiter was very helpful in helping with the wine choice. If I had something to moan about it would be the noise in the restaurant.

Love it here😊. Favourite restaurant in WGC. Staff always very professional and helpful, lovely atmosphere, nice food. We come here frequently. Will return again soon.

This is a great restaurant in a lovely setting. The food is delicious, the service is efficient and friendly and the customer offers are a welcome bonus.

Great food. Duck confit was lovely and my friend said her fish pie was good. Service was a tad slow and many a time we had to look for someone...another drink..pay for the bill..olives were VERY salty. Other wise great, will return

Although we live in Harpenden, we always use the Welwyn Garden City Restaurant as the service, ambiance and food are excellent . Very easy to book on line or on the phone. The daytime menu is good value and the Chocolate pot is to die for!!!

As always, our food was lovely, with lots of choice and a variety of specials on offer. The staff at Welwyn are always friendly and attentive.

We had a lovely lunch....but.....there were only 3 water glasses on our table and had to ask for another one. We ordered bread.....and had to ask for plates!! My gin and tonic arrived pre mixed....it was replaced! I do feel that having the bill arrive with the 12.5% gratuity included but optional quite offensive. It is up to the diner/diners to decide if and how much to leave.

The food, as always, was lovely. We had several issues with our order being wrong, and it did take them three attempts to bring us the correct breakfasts, after quite a delay in between each one. However, they were polite and apologetic and made up for these problems quickly and without any prompting from us or need to complain.

Delicious as usual. Our favourite place to enjoy a tasty breakfast in a friendly relaxing atmosphere. There is a large selection on the menu to choose from & a variety of cooked breakfast deal available. I opted for the vegetarian meal & the flavours & ingredients put together were delicious. My husband had a tradition cooked breakfast, which he also thoroughly enjoyed. You can also just enjoy a hot drink & pastry if you don’t want a big meal.

The food was delicious but the service was poor. Booked table for 7.15 but still had no food by 8.45pm. Service was very slow and we had to ask for some water from a passing waiter as we were all so thirsty. We waited ages before anyone took our drinks order and a long wait for the food. It was a very busy Saturday evening which probably explains the delays but the service really didn’t deserve the automatic gratuity of 12.5% added to the bill.

We met up with friends and had a delicious meal . I can recommend the chicken breast with mushrooms and dauphinois potatoes. Service friendly and efficient as always.

Lunch was most enjoyable - good food and ambience and staff were very pleasant. Will definitely be returning for another visit. I had requested a table upstairs by the window and not in the middle of the restaurant, so the noise level was okay. Thank you!

Fantastic value. An excellent breakfast. Cannot best it for the price. Restaurant reasonably busy so it’s clearly popular place to go on a Saturday morning. Would definitely go again.

Have been here before and it is always good,last night was no exception. A warm welcome from the manager, a warm restaurant ( on a very cold night)and good food. The food was delivered hot with appropriate times between each course. The young waiter was professional and friendly. A good night.

Manager and Staff are wonderful and deliver great customer service. Very enjoyable meal too.

The chateaubriand was amazing. Shame it’s a June special as we’d be there all the time. Must squeeze a few more in this month. Other than that, staff are lovely and ambience is just right.

Absolutely fantastic as always food was cooked to a high standard we needed to make adjustments to our booking and the manager was fantastic in accommodating our needs. Our waiter who i believe was called Andrew was absolutely amazing can’t fault him in anyway offered to replace the food my nephew had knocked on the floor tried his best when they had ran out of a specific juice. The only fault i had was that we were waiting over an hour for our meals and when we asked one of the managers he just disappeared and never came back so had to ask again which wasn’t nice but when the food did arrive it was lovely so a big shout out to the chefs who have probably not stopped all day :)

Loved the free rhubarb cocktails and the soft music and peace/quiet of a early evening meal.

Food was tasty and piping hot. Very friendly and efficient service.

excellent food. overpriced for the area but just about worth the extra. consistent with the London restaurants in the same chain. will return again soon hopefully.

Service was really poor. I stood at the door for 5 minutes waiting to be acknowledged, we were then told we would need to sit upstairs even though I noted on my booking we would have a pushchair. The woman who allocated our table was pretty rude. We then had to ask for our order to be taken. Food was nice but I wouldn't go back due to the poor service.

We were warmly welcomed and served by a very friendly and helpful young waiter. Food was excellent and restaurant was ambient and comfortable. We shall return.

Unfortunately we dined on a very quiet evening but the food ,service and attention and friendliness of the staff were all beyond reproach.It remains one of our favourites.

Great way to start a Saturday in Welwyn Garden. Lovely smiley staff and delicious breakfast. Eggs with smoked salmon and a creamy hollandaise sauce. We will return!

Sadly we did not have a good visit this time. The food was delicious however we had to wait for some time for glasses for our water, despite asking 3 times. I specifically asked for very soft poached eggs and was brought very hard eggs. I had to send them back. We then ordered a coffee and after waiting for over 20 minutes had to ask someone to chase it up. After more waiting the coffee eventually arrived. At one point during our meal we were brought a coffee we didn’t order. The bill when it arrived was not correct as our waiter seemed unfamiliar with the ordering system and so we ended up with extra on our bill. This was sorted quickly once I queried it. The other thing that made us feel slightly uncomfortable was the waiter asking if we were finished, while we still eating our meal. We felt as if we were being rushed. It was a disappointing visit for father’s day.

Lovely sat in the sunshine having a cheeky late lunch with my husband. Food as always fab! My husband loved his duck as it was his first visit to cotes.

Excellent meal at Cote Welwyn Garden City as usual - had the Prestige menu today and very good value for money. French onion soup, pork fillet and creme caramel - all excellent.

Food was not as good as expected. Breton chicken was too dry, calamari was greasy. Green salad also looked not appealing. My younger members of family (millennials) were all happy with theirs.

Lovely and good value Saturday fixed price lunch. Table service was excellent . I like this restaurant an£ I c9me back often
