Excellent welcoming staff, prompt service, delicious food. A totally positive experience.

Food standard very good, worth the wait which was a little more than the expected, but not a problem as pleasant atmosphere. Looking forward to going again.

As always, an excellent meal in lovely surroundings. Being coeliac it is such a joy to find so many options on the special Gluten Free Menu.

Very nice experience, enjoyed that not rushed and food was brilliant but could have eaten more.

Having been in Winchester for about 50 years, I can honestly say that Cote is the best restaurant to hit Winchester for a long time. Above all the staff are like a very happy family, very attentive in every way and creating an extremely happy atmosphere, on top of which the food is excellent and well presented. My wife and I love going there for all the good reasons and knowing that we will enjoy the visit and be sure of a great welcome and, as I am disabled, they do all they can to help me.

Delicious lunch. We were shown straight to a table, the staff were attentive, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the food was great, highly recommend!

The service was very slow. We were a table of 7. All the others had received and eaten their starter before mine even arrived. The main course did not come for more than an hour after we had arrived.

Very attentive staff. They had read the comments regarding my daughters gluten allergy and were keen to ensure that her needs were met. Lovely food, varied menu. Will return again soon.

Another excellent meal at the Winchester Cote, we had our favourite Beef Bouginion which is always extremely tasty and the Cod Gougons another good choice with a bottle of Chevin de Marqivere Merlot definitely recommended. Good food, friendly atmosphere, this restaurant is well worth a visit.

Lovely staff, food fab, wine delightful. We left full and happy. The only problem I have is choosing from the menu...great lunchtime ambience. The french onion soup is my absolute favourite starter.

1st June 2019 Wedding meal the staff were very friendly helpful with getting 5 kids meal out quickly . The service was brilliant Can not fault the food everyone of our 36 guest said how good the food was, complements to the chef. The food was good. We ordered olives and bread to start and we had no side plates to put our bread on and they took my knife away so had to share with my friend which was fine but should have been better than that! Mains came quickly and they were good. The service was ok but had to keep grabbing someone's attention when we needed something.

There are plenty of places in Winchester serving wonderful food in a lovely setting however it is the service we received from each and every person during our evening at Cote that sets it apart and will ensure we return again soon. The team made it the relaxed memorable evening we enjoyed with a special mention to Tim. Thank you all.

Enjoyed our breakfasts, good service. My husband has to use the disabled toilet and he told me this was below the normal standard. Apparently the lock has been broken for some time and the toilet seat wobbles - not ideal for the less able.

Party of four all very happy with each main dish and dessert. One person with dietary issue was catered for very well indeed. Our waiter was lovely - nice sense of humour and really helpful

Felt like we were in the middle of a runway with the position of our table, then later found out we had been charged for bubbles we didn’t even order..... umm not really very happy about that you need to make it clear that you will be charged when giving the bubbles to customers! But on the flip side the food and service was excellent.

Lovely food, a couple of problems with a couple of courses not being served in full but staff more than happy to compensate for this! Will definitely return!

Lovely food and very good service. Good ambiance and recommended wine was perfect. The missing ingredient was mint sauce to go with my lamb which was the second time I had ordered lamb to be advised that because the French don't have mint sauce with lamb they don't serve it. We are in England! Suggest you purchase some! They tell me they get asked for it all the time. Otherwise my review would have had another star!

Great food with great service! Set menu was great though ,not sure about the fennel mash. Creme caramel finished off a very enjoyable evening. Definitely go back

Breakfast wasn’t hot, fried eggs were like rubber so were sent back to be re done. We were asked then by 3 members of staff if the replacement was better! Toast and coffee could have been much hotter too. This is our third breakfast visit and each time it’s the same. I think now we’ll not bother again. Such a shame as usually service and atmosphere are pleasant and welcoming, sadly I’m not a fan of cold food.

There is nowhere better for breakfast in Winchester. The food is excellent and The Formule is fantastic value with large portions. All the choices are good but my favourite, though being a carnivore myself, is The Vegetarian.

We were booked to see “Rembrandt” at the Everyman cinema. We dropped into Côte on the way to book a table and, in four minutes, were on our way. (We usually book online but had forgotten.) Côte Winchester is ideally situated a few hundred yards from the Everyman cinema, middle-way from the multi-storey, free-after-six car-park. We booked the Côte because we knew we would be assured of a quiet ambience in which to eat without having to converse over loud “musack”. The decor is stylishly subdued. Service in the Côtes we have visited has always been discreetly and efficiently attentive. There is a good range of meals from two and three course standard menu to the à la carte and all have sensible portions at reasonable prices. It is not “high dining” but high enough to create a very enjoyable, French atmosphere in pleasant surroundings. After the film, we did not have time for a complete meal and selected from the à la carte mains which, with the friendly service, was an ideal way to discuss the National Gallery and Rijksmuseum's “Rembrandt”. We recommend - the free-after-six car-park, Everyman cinema and the Côte.
