I chose a starter and a main from the à la carte menu and I was extremely happy with what I received. The service was very good and the food was fresh and cooked with well. I would happily go back and explore more of their menu.

Great service but not much time between courses. Think because they weren’t particularly busy. Food tasty but do think skin on chicken should’ve been crispier.

It was good. The staff were great. I didn't feel the restaurant held much atmosphere. The food was better than average, although not exceptional by any stretch.

Nice meal and good service. Pity the cod goujons are not still on the menu. Please can you get a handrail on those steps my father in law stumbled and was saved by a tourist! I was there of course but couldn’t take his weight. He’s 94 and loves your restaurant!

Our quiet family get-together prior to an upcoming funeral was made special by the attentive service, good food and pleasant atmosphere. This is not the first time we have visited this restaurant, and it has aways been very good.

The food and service is always consistent. We also believe that you get a good value for your money. We love dining here at least once a month.

I have eaten at Cote on Winchester many times but this was one of the best meals ever. The courgette starter was new and delicious.

We had a lovely Mother’s Day lunch, although two of the options on starters were not available calamari animals which some of our family had already chosen. I appreciate it was Mother’s Day but service was very slow, main courses came out eventually which were good although the sides seem to let them down.The celeriac purée which accompanied the fillet steak was very dry and not a good acompliment to the dish. Overall our experience was good although not as good as usual.

The service was very slow. We were a table of 7. All the others had received and eaten their starter before mine even arrived. The main course did not come for more than an hour after we had arrived.

Lovely staff, food fab, wine delightful. We left full and happy. The only problem I have is choosing from the menu...great lunchtime ambience. The french onion soup is my absolute favourite starter.

Excellent lunch menu such good value for money. Enjoyed my friends birthday treat although a freebie of sparking wine for her would have been a nice touch.

The steak was amazing, one of the best I’ve had, and the service was excellent. However even with a free cocktail it was pretty expensive. All in all, recommended though.

Brilliant the food was wonderful and the service fantastic. The Hungarian lads as well as the part time Uni students are great. We often come and know them well.

Nice food (although could have been warmer). Restaurant was very cold - we were half a degree from having to wear our coats. Didn’t like the automatic addition of 12.5% service charge. Put me right off and consequently didn’t leave a tip at all on principle. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend the restaurant with caveats

We were very disappointed with our visit to Côte in Winchester. It was my birthday and I was really looking forward to having a lovely brunch with my mum. When we sat down the waitress asked if we wanted a drink, I asked for an apple juice only to be told (very bluntly) that you didn’t have any. So I ordered a different drink and the waitress went off with our order. We then started looking at the menus, one of which was gluten free. Again this wasn’t as good as what we would have expected. So when the waitress eventually came back my mum asked a few questions about the gluten free menu, and the responses that she got were rude and blunt. The waitress just seemed like she really couldn’t be bothered and I don’t think you could have paid her to smile! We felt this just completely ruined our experience and decided in the end to just have our drinks and go elsewhere for our brunch. Really disappointing.

We enjoyed a Lovely breakfast with family and had a nice table in the window, The staff were very helpful and efficient. The breakfast is good value and very tasty.

Lovely food and very good service. Good ambiance and recommended wine was perfect. The missing ingredient was mint sauce to go with my lamb which was the second time I had ordered lamb to be advised that because the French don't have mint sauce with lamb they don't serve it. We are in England! Suggest you purchase some! They tell me they get asked for it all the time. Otherwise my review would have had another star!

Winchester Cote as usual didn't disappoint. The four of us thoroughly enjoyed our ,meal, the ambience and the excellent service. Don't change anything at all.

Hi – we had a really great evening at Cote Brasserie last night and will definitely return. There were 6 of us in our party and we visit Cote Brasserie a good number of times a year together, and separately too – it’s definitely a favoured restaurant of ours. However, last night’s experience was marred by lukewarm food. Up until last night, we’ve always had good hot food, so it must be either down to kitchen equipment last night, or kitchen staff, so we only pass this information to you… a) because you have asked for feedback, and b) we think the kitchen staff should know. I believe there were 3 or 4 soups ordered, two of which were lukewarm. Then there were 4 chicken Parmentier dishes ordered, all four were lukewarm and although tasty, were very disappointing. The member of staff attending our table took one of the chicken dishes away to heat it up, but by the time the wait staff returned, the rest of us with the chicken dishes were at least half way through. Having said all of the above, the staff were faultless and we were indeed compensated, for which we are grateful. Again, we would not have complained but, the fact is I made the booking for last night’s ‘get together’ with our friends quite a way ahead, as we wanted to request the table in the upstairs bow window. I was told that was fine, but when we arrived last night we were told the table was not available now, as we were 6 and a party of 8 had come in. We ought, we believe, to have been offered some kind of compensation at that time. But, as I say, I would not have mentioned this but for the fact of the many tepid dishes we were served last night. So our disappointment is definitely with the lukewarm food. But, even tho we come from a way outside of Winchester to meet up with each other, we will continue to do so. For your interest we travelled from Upper Chute which is a 25 mile distance, from Goodworth Clatford and also from Chilbolton. We hope your kitchen staff are able to use our comments constructively.

Once again, we enjoyed our lunch very much. The choice was good, the service excellent and the food was delicious as well as being well presented. The service was timely and we felt well looked after. Also, the food was very good value for money.

Absolutely amazing, the lady who greeted and served us was lovely, kind and efficient and put my mind at ease. I had been rushing and worrying trying to get there on time and as soon as I got there all my worries went away. Thank you so much for letting us have such a special evening.

Cote always deliver on flavour. We had belly pork today which was full of flavour, and the staff were friendly and efficient. We will definitely go back.

We love eating at Cotes Winchester and probably eat there once a month. The service is always great and the food superb. We were a little disappointed during this visit as some of the breakfast items weren't available, but otherwise a very pleasant visit
