Côte Winchester

Had a lovely lunch with an old friend. There was a real buzz as the restaurant was full. Social distancing was one metre apart but our table for two was probably two metres away from those on either side. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food was delicious and generous. The Eat Out to Help Out initiative meant it was even greater value for money.

Lovely meal served by smiley staff on a very wet summer’s day. Excellent service and food of a very high quality made tastier thanks to the Eat our to help out scheme.

Cote Winchester was excellent as usual from the warm welcome of the staff to the excellent range of well cooked food on the menu. The place was packed with cheery diners and The evening felt like a celebration to go out after The long months of isolation. Well done Cote!

We had a fabulous time at Cote - Winchester. I asked for a table with a view and I was given a fabulous table overlooking the city. The service was exceptional and the food divine. My dinner party had a great time and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for something a little bit special at affordable prices.

Delicious food and great service as always. The staff are doing a marvellous job at keeping everyone safe, and don’t make you feel rushed to eat up and leave. We will definitely be back to try other dishes on the the impressive menu. Great evening!

The food was up to the high standard we have come to expect and appreciate. What was impressive was the care and attention to make the restaurant Covid secure. We did feel safe whist being there. It was busy, therefore somewhat noisy, however the noise was not intrusive.

Excellent service, the staff were really busy as 50% off but still had time to be friendly and give excellent service.

Lovely food, very good service. Unfortunately found a fragment of glass on my plate in amonst the food - looks like it may have come in the side salad perhaps - waiter very apologetic & no harm done but rather concerning!

We were placed at a table next to a swing door where the waiters brought the food out so it was quite irritating as every few minutes someone would go in or come out. Also, I wanted a glass of pinot Grigio wine but was offered a muscadel instead, which I did not enjoy, but I do understand with social distancing going on at the moment not everything can be how we want it. The food and service, as usual, were excellent. Will def go back again.

Food was okay, over priced, waiter made a sarcastic comment about me having a dairy allergy.

Lamb was cooked perfectly. The lobster was a little tough which is unusual and was served already cracked open. Suspect the lobster was frozen rather than fresh.

So glad I’ve found this little gem! Fantastic food, welcoming staff, had a great evening.

Great food, very friendly service and they are working hard to look after people from the CV19 perspective. Suggest they need a few more options (without goats cheese) for us vegetarians but otherwise very good menu too.

Lovely food, relaxing, cool setting, fab service. Couldn’t ask for more. Perhaps temperature checks on arrival, but that’s the only thing I can think of. Great quality children’s food too. Probably could be slightly smaller portions and therefore a little cheaper.

We had a lovely evening for our birthday celebration. Excellent all round experience. The service was of a high standard. The restaurant had a very relaxing atmosphere and the good was delicious! Cooked and seasoned to perfection. We would highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely visit again.

Great food. I do wish it wasnt served on a rooftile or floorboard as it becomes harder to eat. The chicken walnut salad came in a bowl that looked lovely but was impossible to eat from as the base was so small. Upstairs can be very noisy as voices seem to boom around.

A lovely night spent having dinner with my daughter... There was one issue where the guys missed the potato gratin which came with my lamb chops but this was quickly corrected... The food was out of this world.... there are not enough superlatives to describe how nice the food was. Will definitely come again.

Excellent all around. My only comments for improvement would be a touch snappier taking the intitial drinks order, and the food courses arrived a little too fast for us. But that is nit picking. Overall, great.

It was a pleasure to eat at your restaurant today. Felt totally safe. The food was excellent as usual (I’m gluten free and enjoy the amazing menu choices) and the staff were help and professional Saw the staff cleaning between diners and they did a great job. I was nervous about eating inside as it was my first time, but I’d have no issue with eating at any Côte. Thanks everyone.

Good food & service from very pleasant waiters.Restaurant fully airconditioned, which was lovely, we weren't hurried at all, thoroughly reccomend Cote brasserie Winchester.

We went to La Cote as we had just had our dads funeral and weren’t able to have a wake so went out to lunch instead. We have also been there numerous times before. The lunch was a perfect celebration of my dads life and the food and ambiance was lovely (also the air con as was 35degrees outside) . Would thoroughly recommend !!

Our first restaurant outing since March so didn't entirely know what to expect. It was great! The tables were a little more spaced out with clear "barriers " between the booths which actually made it better for the diners than before. There was only an al a carte limited menu but with something for everyone. The less expensive lunch time menus with their interesting dishes would be welcomed back. The service was as flawless and friendly as ever and we were very grateful for the aircon as 35c outside!

Lovely food, Amazing Aircon - made a huge difference tonight in such hot weather, nice atmosphere & Fab waiter (Ethan). So nice to be able to eat out & support Cote to get going again.

Brilliant food and bigger portions than expected. Nice quiet atmosphere and not over crowded meaning social distancing guidelines were adhered to. Competent and pleasant table service. The only reason I have marked down wait times is because the food actually came out of the kitchen very very fast, we may have preferred the opportunity to rest more between courses.

It was so lovely to be able to dine out in the confidence that all precautions had been taken to allow us to enjoy our experience without worry about infection. From the moment we were greeted and seated to Allanah our lovely waitress it really was a lovely evening with prompt service and lovely food.
