Food was average - I had the mussells that were very gritty like they had not been washed properly. Will not be coming back as staff did not understand very much. Wine glasses are short and horrible these deffo need to be changed.

Brought my 9yo daughter and husband for Fathers' Day breakfast - their first time here. Service was friendly and efficient, setting was sophisticated, and food was delicious and offered a good range for all. We'd definitely recommend, and have already booked for a family dinner.

Very good meal here on a Friday evening. Good atmosphere, good service and good menu. Will definitely return here to eat again. Possibly the nicest restaurant in the high street.

A welcome addition to Watford! Food was delicious and the restaurant looks great and is comfortable but it was the service that will get me coming back again and again. Genuine care and attention given, well done Cote!

Excellent friendly service with tasty food served in a typical French ambiance. Menu choice good but a little on the pricy side when you add service charge.

We have been going to Cotes at St Albans for many years every Friday evening - so pleased that one has now opened in Watford so we will alternate our venues at cotes.

Staff were incredibly friendly, it was my birthday, which we didn't really make known. Our waiter saw the cards on the table and asked my friend. They then sung happy birthday when the desserts were served and took mind off of the bill. Overall a stunning experience and will definitely return, food was gorgeous too!

What a wonderful arrival in Watford! The best dining experience I have had for a long time. Such lovely staff and beautiful food Perfect location for a meal before a visit to Cineworld or the Palace Theatre. I will visit again soon and will tell everyone about this special place. Thank you :-)

Wonderful choice of gluten free food. The food we ordered was flavourful and tasty. Good speed of service. Would recommend particularly for allergen options. Will return again.

It was a pleasure dining here, the service was sublime from when I made the booking. Staff were very helpful and professional. We all thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would recommend it to anyone wanting a stress free, enjoyable evening out.

Had a lovely evening with friends. We had a warm welcome when we arrived. When seated we had drinks and menus straight away. All the staff that served us were friendly and efficient. There was a great atmosphere and food was delicious. This was our 3rd visit and will definitely return.

Food was lovely but we were positioned next to serving station and this contributed to an really uncomfortable experience unfortunately plus it was far to noisy at times unfortunately

Went to Watford Cote for birthday meal and had the prestige evening set menu of 3 courses. Food was very tasty and well presented, also plenty on the plate. Starters were paye and calamari. Both were extremely tasty. Mains were the salmon, breton chicken and sides of carrots and creamed spinach. All were very well presented and very lovingly cooked. The chicken was absolutely delicious. Even the sides of carrots were tasty and lashings of butter. Would recomend for s special treat, or just a casual evening. Finally the desserts, creme caramel and apple crumble. Once again, delicious. The waiter placed a candle n my creme caramel and preceeded to sing happy birthday, what a lovely touch. With so much choice around the intuition centre and high street, Cote ticked all the right boxes and would return soon for a great meal. 5 stars.......

The staff were friendly and produced excellent service ! The service was fast and the food was delicious while being presented wonderfully ! Would recommend !

Booked a table for two for 7.45 pm and arrived early at 6.55pm as we were very hungry. We were met at the door by one of the managers who was very pleasant and seated straight away. From that point it went completely downhill. In a nutshell we were totally ignored with an abundance of staff passing our table with absolutely no acknowledgment. Sadly after twenty five minutes of no staff contact, no drink, nothing, we decided to leave and find somewhere else to eat. The manager was very apologetic and tried to persuade us to stay but we were really very disappointed. We are local to Watford and were really looking forward to the opening of Cote having visited the chain on numerous occasions.

Great restaurant. Excellent staff and service. Top marks. The food was very good, great flavours and cooked to perfection. The menu is varied and a good selection of wines. Relaxed atmosphere. Overall a very enjoyable evening.

Good service, nice food and lovely atmosphere. We both had the 2 courses for £11.95 deal and it was delicious. A nice weeknight treat that i’ll Be doing again soon!

Very Busy Father’s Day lunchtime. Staff polite but unfortunately Kitchen not capable of keeping up with the orders. 3 of 5 meals obviously held under the serving heaters far too long.

The staff were great as was the food, we have our 2 children with us who are 6 and 3 and were given a lovely both out the way so we could relax. Service was attentertive but not invasive. Everybody said thank you when we left waitstaff/manager/even a chef and a runner. Thank you

I didn't catch his name, but our waiter, who is from Galicia, was wonderful. He was attentive without being intrusive and detail-oriented-he told me how long I'd have to wait for my well done steak. Service was excellent overall and we really enjoyed ourselves. The food was great as well!

Lovely ambience, excellent service, delicious and well presented food. Good choice of options in menu and value for money in my opinion. We came here to dine twice in a week, we were so impressed the first time.

Excellent. I have eaten at other branches of Cote in London and Richmond and have always found them very good but this was the first time I'd visited the new Watford branch. I wasn't disappointed - food was excellent and the restaurant itself is a good size - airy and bustling but not overpowering. I shall be back!

It's good to have a place in Watford town centre with better quality food and service.

Food and service were excellent as always, however I booked under the deal with the French 75 cocktails and we didn’t get them. Bit disappointing. Didn’t want to say anything at the time as my husband didn’t know about the offer and I thought it would be a nice little treat on Easter Sunday. Won’t stop me going back.

The food and the staff were excellent. However due to lack of staff we waited to long for both our starters and mains to arrive.

We went for early dinner on a Monday and the range of food and offers available was wonderful. We had 2 courses each from special menu and the food was delicious. The only reason I didn’t give 6 stars was that the waiter forgot our water but other than that couldn’t fault the food and service. Our meal for the two of us cost just over £40 for 4 courses, a drink each and tip included. I wouldn’t definitely recommend

Excellent food, cooked fresh and presented well. Great service and all round nice experience...I’d highly recommend this restaurant. Vinny the manager is warm and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble.

We enjoyed a fabulous brunch for mother’s day, and despite it being very busy the staff were attentive and made us feel really special. Wonderful food as always!

Lovely restaurant. Great food, great menu - lots of choice - the Poulet Grille was delicious. The service was brilliant - would highly recommend eating here.

Absolutely excellent service for my husbands birthday! I cannot remember the waitresses name but she had red hair, and also the manager, they made our visit top class. I cannot fault anything. Would highly recommend going there to anyone. They really do look after you. Thank you for such a memorable meal xxx
