This was a family return visit as we came last year and enjoyed the food. There were 6 of us this time ageing from 26 to 81 years and the food & service was excellent.

Fantastic find! We were looking for somewhere interesting and unique and Cowshed offered it all, amazing food, great service and an intimate atmosphere that you wouldn’t get at mainstream restaurants. I would recommend this place to anyone and if I was visiting Liverpool again I would definitely come back.

Service was good but very disappointed with the portion of rump steak I received! Compared to the portion size of the of the other three rump steak meals in our party of four, mine was definitely smaller and not value for money. Also when booking you should be advised that the toilets are two floors down, which is a major consideration if you have limited mobility!

Wow! Fabulous place the staff were friendly and attentive. We went as a party of 4 on a busy Saturday All our steaks were cooked to perfection, probably the nicest steak we’ve all had. Good choice of starters aswell the halloumi bites were superb. Will definitely return. Thanks

Staff 100%,food 100%,just,tiny table plonked in the middle,was quite uncomfortable you could tell it had been put there because ran out of seating,but other than that fantastic

Loved the set up of the restaurant. Staff were brilliant, we were served by Beccy and she was friendly and attentive to us all night. Food and drinks arrived in a timely manner and was absolutely spot on. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will 100% be visiting again

Quirky layout was different, staff were lovely and welcoming. Steak was fantastic.

Fab food, fab setting, fab atmosphere, fab hosts. Our first visit but certainly not our last.

Overall it was great, we just would have liked to sit in a more comfortable booth so we had a big table with more room for our food.

Very average steak and poor portion sizes. Two of the 3 steaks we ordered were not close to 8oz. Even allowing for vast weight loss during cooking. Service was generally good bar our main waitress who was very poor.

The food was delicious, cocktails were amazing and the staff were attentive and friendly. I can’t wait to come back and have already recommended to all my friends!
