Best steak ever had but 60 pound for 2 people is a bit

Steak: Rump. Juicy, succulent with fat like melting jelly in your mouth. Superb. Pudding: Green apple panna cotta. Nostalgic flavours brought back to life.

Best steaks ever!! Easy to book a table online, even last minute

The restaurant is in a quiet street and when we arrived our table was ready. We had croquettes for starters with a Mac n cheese filling which were superb. Nothing compared with the main course which was one of the best steaks I have eaten, a cheeseboard for dessert made it a memorable experience. Would definitely go again and recommend.

Our second visit to Liverpool and our second visit to the Cowshed - this restaurant is a must! Staff are fantastic, friendly, funny and extremely knowledgeable of the food. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and the layout gives a relaxed and welcoming feel. The food is AMAZING! From the grazing starters (we tried them all) to the perfectly cooked steaks and then to the desserts- mmm! Our family of 4 could not fault a thing and to top it all off the prices are great. We will be back again.

Absolutely wonderful Mother’s Day meal. Steaks were perfect - I had the cauliflower steak which was delicious. Believe me I’m fussy so when I say it was a 10 it is definitely worth tasting the food here! Wonderful service too. Faultless. Well done guys x

First time visitor to the cowshed. We weren't disappointed. Not an extensive menu bit that isn't a bad thing. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome and comfortable. Service was good and food was excellent. Good value for money. Definitely recommend eating at the cowshed

I’ve eaten steak in South America where is the best steak in the world and Cowshed was right up there with the best ( if perhaps smaller portions, but that’s ok). Great value, great steak, unusual sides served hot! Thank you Cowshed for a very enjoyable evening. Nearly forgot: good wine choices from reasonable to ‘treat yourself ‘ prices.

The food was cooked to perfection. The waiter and rest of staff were superb. They explained the dishes that I had never heard of. The wine was not unreasonably priced as quite a few restaurants do hike up the price of a bottle of wine. Booking is recommended as they do have a maximum stay of 2 hours which is plenty of time to enjoy your meal. If I have one recommendation to make that would be to put a few more veg on the Menu but even saying this they are very obliging if you do not want a sauce on your veg or only part of a veg side order. Which is very reassuring. Could not go to a better place.

Cowshed is a fabulous restaurant, a master of what it does, at a very good price. Everything was about as good as it gets, especially the food, which was divine. The pepper sauce and especially the blue cheese sauce were particularly impressive, the best I have ever tasted, and a perfect combination with the succulent meat.

My Granddaughter and myself had a fantastic time at Cowshed. From the minute we walked through the door until leaving. All the staff are attentive and professional without being intrusive. The steaks are amazing. A minimal menu for all courses just goes to show if done correctly less is more. Special thanks to Oliver, Charlie and Sam. So good booked for next week to introduce my daughter to this little gem. Dean Sinclair
