Lovely food. Very helpful staff. It was very hot and shades do not close but waitress sat us where it was shady. Also, Lovely sized cheesecake portions!
The services was brilliant, the staff were very kind and helpful, we had the steak for dinner which tasted which was lovely and was very reasonabley priced.
Very nice decor & atmosphere. The burger & fries were also very nice.
Good service and lovely food.. burgers were amazing) even if it was a little warm in there 😬 we will definitely be returning when we next come over to Nottingham!
The food was great, the drinks list was very good especially the gin list Music and general atmosphere was spot on Will definitely be back 👍🏻
Overall a great experience, only reason it’s not a 6 is because we had to ask three times for ice for our water- a tiny thing but significant when the weather is 30 degrees.
Spot on. Dined here before and always a great meal and great service.
Lovely good and great service. Nice outdoor area. Never disappoints when eating or drinking here. Had salads which were fresh and a good size. Recommend
Positives first: The place is good, the music is okay (kind of easy going background music, maybe a little bit too loud), we were able to change our table to one next to the window and that was one of few good things about it. Other was the drinks, my IPA was really good and my wife enjoyed her ginger and lemon tea as well. Negatives: food was bland. Nicely presented, but really lacking in flavour (salt and pepper, anyone?), my wife's buttermilk chicken was slightly on the burned side tasting bitter. My burger was interesting (el bandito) but the meat was not seasoned at all and to make things worse the French fries were oil-heavy (same goes for the chicken actually). I guess it's a decent place to come for a drink, we have been swayed with how the food looked on TA and decided to go to celebrate our anniversary and left thinking we could have gone elsewhere and enjoyed it a bit more.
Amazing surroundings and very quirky Great food, we had a really lovely experience. Staff were lovely, friendly and efficient. Also have a photo booth which was fun
Very good afternoon tea, quite a different setting really enjoyed ourselves
Couldn’t hear ourselves think let alone speak because the music was too loud, couldn’t wait to eat our food and get out. Food average, not much choice. What the butler saw cocktail not as good as browns in Mansfield.
Good food. Good service. Good gluten free children’s afternoon tea. Burger was nice but small chips. The fish sandwich was great value. Would come back.
Lovely meal and cocktails before a show. Food delivered swiftly. Took advantage of the reduced price cocktails too! We had burgers which were gluten free too!
Friendly staff, nice quirky environment and the food was fine. My daughter and I really enjoyed our visit and would definitely recommend it to others
Lovely food and great alternative atmosphere. A definite recommendation if in Nottingham and looking for something different to do! Also helpful and warm staff to greet you and take you to your table in the ‘VIP’ area if you have booked, which was a special touch to the place.
gorgeous place and fabulous service, the food was amazing, would defiantly go again, lovely table by large window over looking the square, drinks served were amazing too x
Lovely lunch before going to the theatre. Will be back. Been for drinks before but not food - i wasnt disappointed - great atmosphere and food.
I came with my niece for our birthday and the device was fab and the afternoon tea was lovely . I would recommend it to other people
Menu very small paid 11 pound for a burger had better at McDonald's lunch menu better we not go back in the evening and you
Service felt a little rushed but whrn we all had our afternoon tea it was amazing amd love it. Perfect for family outings was £41 for 4 of us
The food was delicious and they have loads of vegan and gluten free options. the staff was really nice! Besides, the decoration is wonderful! 100% recommendable!!
fantastic child's afternoon tea with my daughter- she loved it! Service was really friendly and I had a lovely salad. Would definitely recommend the place!
Nice atmosphere, food expensive. Drinks good, nice choice of cocktails. Good music although a bit loud for when eating. Would recommend for a drink but wouldn’t rush back to eat there
ok but customer service wasn't brilliant. we asked if we could sit by the window as my view was of the kitchen! even though the table was empty the waitress said no. no drinks offered other than the tea and coffee so had to ask for those. I would have preferred to be offered a drink with my sandwiches then had my coffee with my sweet cakes. it was ok for a Groupon but won't go back again.
Food was great, however there was very little service, I had to go to the bar to get a desert order as well as chase my drink (twice). I had requested to be in the back area, however we were given a table at the front next to the lift and stairs so it was very busy. The DJ was fab but it was exceptionally loud, a nice relaxed dinner it was not.
Brilliant place to eat and drink. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We will be going there again. We had an afternoon tea and were full stuffed by then end.
I have been to Curious Manor a few times and this time, unfortunately, was disappointed. Our food took approximately 45 minutes to arrive (we were given a free bottle of prosseco) but then one of our party was brought the wrong meal, then she had to wait even longer. The food was OK but when we asked for the bill, again, took a long time, so we had to ask three times in total! Disappointed.
Service not great. Didn’t get a very good table. Food was pretty tasteless. Wife’s burger was burnt on one side. When we pointed this out to the waitress she didn’t care. Wouldn’t use the place again.
Amazing cocktails! Food really nice (I had the buttermilk chicken burger) and the service was fast, although the fries were a little cold. Overall would recommend
Great meal, quirky environment and friendly staff. Good to go somewhere different. Cocktails are divine and the food is tasty. Great place to entertain friends and give them an experience.
Great food, fantastic service (REALLY GOOD), great environment and I'd go back any time. The burgers were really good and the portion sizes are large too :-)
Amazing cocktails ! High tea was ok some of the sandwiches were not very tasty. Very busy in Curious Manor but staffed were working hard
Lovely quirky cafe. Afternoon tea was amazing and they catered well for my mum who wanted gluten free food, and my two year old daughter. Perfect
Great quirky place with plenty to feast your eyes on. Service was superb and food was delicious. Their own take on a pornstar martini was divine. Definitely be going back again.
The place is fabulous. However, the music was far too loud for a tea time meal. Conversation for our party was nigh on impossible. I had the BLT Burger (chicken) which was gorgeous. My husband had fish and chips which were not of the standard expected - soggy wet fish not crispy batter as it should have been. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The service was impeccable.
The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a great time. We would definitely go back there again and recommend to others.
We had a lovely Gluten-Free afternoon tea but did not get to choose the sandwich fillings but the scones were very nice. We would go again.
I have been before last time we go a chose of cakes. This time we were just given them with no explanation what the were.
Not enough staff, I had to wait a long time for food and never got asked if we wanted another drink. Then wasn’t given an itemised bill so not sure if I paid too much but was in a rush to get to a show, had to pay at the bar till as we couldnt find the waitress to ask for the bill. We were there 2 hours.
Food is great and very tasty Thumbs up to the chefs Service slow for orders and drinks and the restaurant was not busy Decorations are funny
Great place. Friendly staff. Amazing food and good quality for money. Quirky little restaurant/ bar , would highly recommend if your looking for brunch , a burger or afternoon tea 😋
Lovely food .. and staff in a beautiful atmosphere my second visit both times equally as nice recommend to anyone I used a groupon deal and so excellent value another visit soon ...
Lovely food and fabulous cocktails, great atmosphere very friendly helpful staff, I would definitely recommend and will be making a return visit soon So easy to book on line too !
Beautiful food, lovely staff and fantastic surroundings, we had the burgers and they were delicious! Will definitely be returning to sample some more of the menu!!
Great atmosphere, though I was confused at the entrance now since work has been done since the last time we visited. The afternoon tea had more than enough food for two people, we couldn't eat it all so we've had yo bring it home.
The variety of the food was very basic considering our group was diverse and many of us didn’t eat meat or pork and subsequently, the majority of the food we were then allowed to eat was very limited and simplistic. Although one of the waiters was very nice, the other was slightly rude and it ruined the mood for our meal. I don’t think I would recommend this restaurant to anyone especially as the price doesn’t reflect the quality.
Enjoyed a lovely evening good food and lovely cocktails will definitely going back to try an afternoon tea as a birthday treat for my friend.
Food was really good but the DJ banging music out at 5:45pm on a Saturday wasn't great in terms of trying to enjoy the meal.
Fabulous food and service in a lovely atmosphere. Good value for money. Will definitely repeat. Bought as part of a beauty temple package - treatments and high tea
