Service was good and mains were all really nice. However collectively disappointed with desserts. More so the apple tart was a flat bit of pastry with some apples and a scoop of ice cream on top. Cheesecake was served in a glass? some biscuit crumb filled with cream topping. Nothing like a cheesecake.

The service we received was very poor , we waited 1hour and 20 mins between courses which is shocking considering the restaurant wasn't busy. There wasn't any senior staff on duty just very young staff rushing about but achieving nothing. The food portion size was very disappointing none of my party felt satisfied.

Went for lunch at Cut today and had the market menu food was so good and a great price at £16 for a two course Server was such a lovely girl so chatty and helpful Will definitely be back for lunch again as this is one of my favourite restaurants

This was our first visit to The Cut. We really enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant and had a great table location at the bay window. The staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The food was great, specifically the chicken burger and T bone steak. Will definitely be back

The market menu is excellent value for money. The lasagne bites were amazing and my partner said the steak frites was the best one he’s ever had. Fantastic trip and will definitely be back again.

Visited today with my mum, dad and son. We chose from the Market Menu and can honestly say the food was amazing and excellent value for money. Would highly recommend.

First time visit, Christmas voucher, we love going out for dinner so this was our first time here, absolutely best steak ever,our starter was also amazing, and the wine was delicious,it's a beautiful place and the atmosphere was relaxed, we will return soon

We went for the quieter time of midday for lunch this weekend and the level of service was superb! The steak frites was immaculate, big props to the kitchen staff, the steak was perfectly done and the peppercorn sauce could be consumed by the bucketful. Great value, great experience :)

Firstly. No one asked to take our coats. Secondly cutlery missing on the table. Thirdly the waitress asked if I wanted water I said one glass please. She brought a whole bottle. I asked if I was being charge for it, she said yes. I said no just tap water please. Food arrived, it was nice although steaks come with only rocket not a mushroom in site but that’s fine. We asked for salt & vinigar and same waitress arrived with salt and pepper, asked do you want anything else! I said we asked for vinegar, ah ok was the reply. Bill arrived with a £4.30 charge for the water I refused to pay it. £8.50 for service for no attention to detail and waitress can’t remember what we asked for! I don’t blame the waitresses at all. I blame the management for very poor training, lack of motivating staff to be diligent, no attention to detail ie coats all over chairs, no forks on table. No communication between waitresses and bill. When I asked why I was being charged for water the answer was -oh she must have forgotten to take it off the bill. There was only 4 people in the total restaurant 🤷. Felt I was being ripped off deliberately . Never again. Check your bill folks and management pay attention to training your staff properly . Your lack of being in touch with your floor staff was obvious.

Food was lovely and very reasonable but restaurant a bit tired

It’s our first time there. First time to have the t-bone steak, the sauces, the salad. They were all amazing. Mu husband had the cout de bouef with the haggis, he thoroughly enjoyed his meal as well. Love the ambiance of the place. The stuff were really amazing. Would highly recommend it!

I ordered a fillet steak and I was brought a sirloin steak instead. I was that hungry I didn’t even say anything , I know there is some fat on the sirloin but it was all grisly and fatty on one side of the steak. So unfortunately because of that I don’t me back or recommend it to anyone

Paid £75 for sharing Chateaubriand and was disappointed to learn that chips and sauce were additional cost. Any other establishments a sharing steak includes chips and sauces. Therefore I will not be back to your restaurant. I was given gift voucher as a retirement gift.

Great meal, great friendly staff but background music was terrible

Went along with some friends to try somewhere new. We had steak frites...couldn't cut it and didn't have the time or inclination to keep chewing the medium grilled steak, had to order something else and by the time it arrived I ended up eating on my own. On the menu there is no mention that the frites have a cajun spice on them, they were greasy so it wasn't immediately apparent that they were spiced, my friend told the waitress at the very beginning that she couldn't have anything spicy, this is due to a medical issue. When we pointed out that the spicy fries has burnt her mouth the waitress said she would let the chef know that he would have to put it on the menu, then left. It was £80 wasted on lunch....Really disappointed.

From start to finish it was excellent. Not sure the servers name but she was young with dark hair. When I mentioned my sisters birthday they came out signing. She recommended jalapemo macaroni and chicken and it did not disappoint. Everything was great. Highly recommend.

Amazing food, great wine choice and cocktails and loved the 10% off in Jan promotion, we didn’t know that was on so wee bonus and extra cocktail for us hehe.

The restaurant was busy and had a good festive vibe. We all had steaks, 3 x Sirlon & 1 x Fillet, side orders of chips, Fried Broccoli, Onion Rings & Cauliflower Cheese.

Great festive lunch menu, fab value for money, in lovely surroundings. Overall, a great experience.
