Great place for food and drinks, recommend to anyone 😃

Excellent value for money. Huge bowl of tasty mussels in delicious sauce, followed by chicken in a creamy mushroom sauce served with Veg. Very filling. Wine was very reasonable at £14.95 for house red. Would return

The guy that served us for lunch and drinks all day was friendly and gave a great service. Quick service, we were not waiting long before he would come and make sure everything was ok if people needed other drinks. If we went to bar to order more drinks he was the only one to offer to bring over to our table. Sorry I can’t remember his name but he was great! Food was amazing, no complaints round the table. Good deal for set lunch menu. Will definitely be back as a group! Thanks again!

Service was slow and the rose wine was not nice. The food was ok.

Sad that restaurant advertised food as Gluten Free when it was not. Gluten free means NO gluten containing ingredients. It meant my daughter was limited to eating salad for main course. We will not go back to Grand Cru.

starting to look grubby, needs a refurb, food okay however my friends salad was swimming in oil and salt, she sent it back....I wont go back as it just felt grubby

I thought the food was below average. The pate was not home made, it used to be. The pasta was distinctly average (2 in our party shared the same sentiment). The chicken was served with side veg but no potatoes? We won’t be back.

Service very good. Staff friendly. Food was very good and plentiful. Would recommend to friends and family. The only downside was it was chilly in the restaurant.

Special 2-course lunch was very good value and delicious. Service by some staff was dreadful. The restaurant was really quiet on a Wednesday afternoon. Three of us arrived to enjoy a birthday lunch and we were joined by a third friend about an hour later who asked for a separate bar tab as she was only ordering pink gins. She asked for the bill for three pink gins and instead was brought three more pink gins. She pointed out the error and a member of staff came over with her bill on a silver dish and virtually threw it on the table in a fit of annoyance. We were shocked by this display of petulance, especially when the error was made by their own staff. We sat from 2 p.m. until approx. 6 p.m. and after lunch and wine we ordered more drinks. The table was not cleared once of glasses and we had stacked them together at the end of the table to enable them to be collected and this did not happen. Review: Food good, price good, staff need some training in customer service.

Great food at very reasonable prices for a capital city centre restaurant bar. Fixed price £12.95 for 2 course dinner with adequate choice. Service pleasant and attentive. Happily return. Great value!

Decent food at a decent price for a city centre bar. Staff fast and friendly with good service. mussels were excellent if that's your thing.

Good place for meeting friends etc. Not overly busy and I found that service was quick and painless and bartenders were friendly. Would recommend to others.

Unfortunately could not go as wash rushed into Hospital early Sunday morning, staff nice when my dinner date cancelled, will rebook soon, love the mussels.

The food was good and the portion size was surprisingly bigger than expected. The fish was cooked well. All in all enjoyable and excellent value.

First time and enjoyed the food my wife had the haggis Bon bond and peppercorn sauce and wish I had ordered it it was that good. I hade the rigatoni with chunks of Italian sausage so 5 stars for that dish too. If you get the fish and chips like my wife be warned it is hugh and great crispy batter. Will be back

Staff were excellent and food was amazing. Superb lunchtime menu and excellent value for money. One of the few Edinburgh restaurants who still allow bookings and maintain their lunchtime deal throughout the festival period. We will be back and will probably try their evening menu

Excellent value for money at 2 courses for lunch for £8.95. Food & service excellent. Nice ambiance in restaurant. We sat outside in sundhine for drinks after meal. All in all a great way to spend afternoon

only offered a set menu at 6pm so choice was limited and dessert was not great, think it had been taken out straight from fridge and sent to us, chocolate brownie was brick hard! We have been to Grand Cru lots of times previous and always had a more varied menu, not sure why they seem to only have a set menu now
