Great food and drink, good service. No problem that we had to call to reschedule 30 minutes later (meaning arriving at 9.30pm). Overall great experience.

Food outstanding .service and staff exellent .Have dined at Humbo several times will most certainly return again . If you decide to dine on a Sunday late afternoon you will have the added advantage of live music later WELL DONE

Food was delicious, service first class. Plenty of drinks to choose from. Waiting staff very attentive and helpful. Excellent value for money. Will defo be making a return visit soon. Job well done team Gumbo

Great service, friendly staff & delicious food. A wee mix up with bar bill, double charged for a round of drinks. Was rectified when we highlighted their error.

Really lovely flavoursome food and attentive staff, would recommend and return. Good location right on Byres Road too. They also have live music which is great if you don't fancy moving for the evening

Love this place, food, staff and atmosphere always fantastic. Really welcoming. Ordered the Po boy and as always, loved it. There was a jazz combo playing on Saturday which just added to the already excellent atmosphere.

Lovely staff and great food. Decor inside was lovely and authentic and the selection of beers and lagers were fantastic. Would go again without a doubt.

Different menu to online - no gumbo. Cheap, kebab shop like food. Restaurant was empty at 7pm on a Thursday so alarm bells rung from the off.

Amazing food. The Gumbo and Pecan pie are authentic and delicious. We also found the surroundings to be ideal and also the price was very reasonable.

Great food, great atmosphere, great staff....service was excellent, all the staff (waiting & bar) were attentive and friendly. Bar Gumbo definitely worth a return visit.

Staff were very friendly, food was top notch, there was a live folk music jam sesh! What's not to love? Would go back in a heartbeat.

staff were exceptionally great and overall what a great place to go. Ask for table in area beside band as can't hear so well in second area. Would def recommend with fantastic service

I've eaten here before. the steak is delicious. Just don't shake any hot sauce on your Jaleno's by accident. I almost needed the fire brigade! Catch Damian on the floor as your server if you are lucky. Very friendly guy, who has an answer for everything. Will not hesitate in returning here... great food, great service.

Good service good food and a live jazz band thrown in what more could you ask for, a great night out and we will certainly go back

Friendly staff; waitress a bit inexperienced though. Nice atmosphere that is child friendly until 8pm. Food is very good and authentic. Service is reasonably quick. The pizza is pretty terrible however which is a shame.

I had dinner and drinks with friends on a Saturday night. The place was busy but still cosy and lively. The service was great, very attentive waiters and quick. The food was very good and affordable, I think we paid 25 each for a dinner and several drinks. I will definitely go back there!

Excellent! The food was delicious and well priced, the staff were so helpful, especially as my daughter was hobbling around with a broken leg! The Jack Ruby 5 were playing.. Well worth a listen! A great night -would thoroughly recommend !

Lovely atmosphere, great cocktails and fantastic Afro-Caribbean style food. My favourite was the small batch G and T and the buffalo wings with blue cheese sauce - delicious! Will definitely be back thank you ☺️

Staff were fantastic, very friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious, we had pizza and a cajun chicken burger and both were so tasty and great sized portions. Couldn't believe how reasonable priced it was. Can't wait to go back

For more than 6 persons there is no suitable seating for meals. But the food is great, the atnosphere and drinks awesome. Had a wonderful night except for being sat right next to the door.

Great ribs, amazing cocktail (aviator). Fish and chips were very good, Gumbo was okay. The Mac and cheese side was huge and yummy. All the portions were very generous and the place had a good atmosphere. Will definetly be back.

Really enjoyed Bar Gumbo. Great food, particularly the catfish bites and jambalaya, with massive servings for reasonable prices. Frozen cheesecake dessert was peculiar but enjoyable.

Loved it. Gumbo is to die for and I'd gladly sample the rest of the cocktail menu at a later date ;) have already recommend to friends.

The staff were nice and very attentive. The wine was reasonably priced. The food came quick but it wasent nice. The macaroni was greasy and the onion rings were like a £1 bag from farm foods . The gumbo was like a thick soup. Would Defo not eat in here again

Gumbo was just fantastic, from the 60's music & great atmosphere. Ordered deep fried veg & pickles to share as a starter - very different & delicious! Then onto the mains - l had shrimp Gumbo - which was a sensation for my taste buds - the sweet dough bread was a perfect contrast to the spicy Gumbo! My partner had steak & chips, & he loved it! ♡

Cocktails were lovely and the veggie Gumbo with cornbread was delicious. Music was good and there was a decent live band in later on. We had our table all night with no bother.

Service was great, food was AMAZING. Had a great time. Downside was the fact that the booking I made through Quandoo was not on their books when I arrived there. They had no record of it at all. Luckily they were not too busy and we got a table anyway but beware booking with Quandoo. I would advise phoning the place direct to make sure you get your table booked.

The ambience is lovely, the food is great (we ordered shrimp gumbo) and people serving at the bar are very friendly and nice! Would definitely go back there, especially since they have a lot of variety drinks wise.
