A lovely buzzing family atmosphere with delicious and beautifully cooked food, and red wine

We took our American friends to Halepi to experience the the amazing food, and service and we weren't disappointed. The Greek food they serve is out of this world and the service is excellent. Well worth the visit.

The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was charming and cozy. The only remark we have is that we initially requested lamb shoulder, but we were told it was unavailable and that only the lamb leg was available — so we agreed. However, when the dish was served, it included both lamb leg and shoulder, which increased the bill. We are not sure whether this was done to please us or simply to raise the total cost.

The food, atmosphere and service were all amazing. It was lovely to meet the owner and hear about the origin of the restaurant’s name!

We tried the meat shoulder and it was good ; then we tried the jumbo shrimps was amazing

Food was great and quick service. Unfortunately however, when the bill came the price of an item had been increased from the price on the menu. When we disputed this the waitress shrugged and said ‘the price has changed’. Not sure how legal that is…

An incredible meal. We’ve visit london often & eventually managed to get a booking. Well worth the wait. At least 3 years . Amazing food, staff, atmosphere & the welcoming atmosphere. Fingers crossed we can return soon on our next trip to London from Scotland

I love this place. Been coming here every year for 40 years and I live in America! Best restaurant in the world. Food, service , ambiance is unbelievable. If you don’t come here you are missing one of the modern marvels of the world

We have been revisiting this restaurant since 1998. It is always superb. Music was a little too loud for my taste though. We will come again.

My friend and l had a lovely lunch at Halepi. The food wss very authentic. The only negatives were the lamb stew was a bit salty and we felt rushed. I would still go back to try other dishes.

I saw the restaurant on a youtubers review and I must say....it was amazing!!!! Food was great!

Food was just ok. Nothing special. Place doesn’t seem to have air conditioning. Atmosphere is a bit dingy. We were not impressed.

Exactly what I expected! A rustic, hole in the wall family restaurant that was slightly chaotic, but 100% worth it. The food was 10/10 Staff smiles 10/10 Recommendations and accommodation 10/10 I'd come back anytime.

Unfortunately if you expect a traditional greek Cypriot meze this is perhaps not amongst any expectations. Very limited meze, the place is literally packed and a 10% service fee was added without giving us a proper receipt but a piece of paper with our bill written on. Nothing comparing to Cypriot traditional tavern or food quality. Bad!!

My partner has been talking about your restaurant for weeks so I booked it. I can honestly say it’s the best meal we’ve ever had in London, with a happy family vibe, friendly helpful staff & food to die for. We will definitely making. the journey from Cornwall again to try the beautiful food.

High price for fair food, especially as my family ran a Greek restaurant!

We were recommended this restaurant but we had a terrible experience. Due to travel disruption on the tube we were late for our booking by 30 mins but let the restaurant know and they were fine with it. When we arrived they said they would require the table back in 1hr 15 mins, which we thought would be ok. It took 20 mis to order drinks, so we ordered food at the same time. The bread and dips arrived pretty quickly and was nice but as we were finishing off eating it (~45 minutes in) they said we’re being too slow and had to move us to a different table in the restaurant. I’ve never experienced that before! They move us right into the corner / don’t think it was really even supposed to be a table by the wines and card machine. Our mains were served at this point and while eating them they were constantly reaching over us to get the card machine, which was housed where we were eating. One of the waitors was really rude and kept taking stuff away even though we weren’t finish eating it. We finished the meal quickly due to this rush and were out of the restaurant just over 1hr after we’d begun. The food was also pretty average, good flavours but the chicken kebab was overcooked. Horrendous experience overall, don’t go here. It’s well overpriced and some of the staff don’t really want you to be there. You seem like an inconvenience.

Greeting lady was lovely. Stifado and klefticon excellent. However, the moussaka was deeply disappointing. I would say only a teaspoon of meat, no sight of Aubergine and base was burnt. I'm a regular eater of this dish and up to then, always had a beautiful eat. The £25 per prawn was rubbery and lemon flavour was overwhelming. Houmous was too small a plate. Getting out of the restaurant was difficult because the tables were crammed in. Very pricy food. Perhaps we had an unlucky night.
